This only strenghtens our believe that West States are in a bias level when it comes to the Issue of the Middle east. How do they love the shalits and how do they Hate Islam.. Very good topic it consolidates my faith againt the WEST GO all to Hell

citizenship. don't get me wrong, it's great but he exploit his son's bad situation. he meet leaders that got nothing to do with Israel palis negotiations, thos leaders can't contribute to nothing.
6. Noam Shalit
NYC Girl   (07.02.09)
Why the hell did he use the opportunity to have the Europeans join the efforts to free Gilad with the gratuitious criticism of Israel's embargo of Gaza? Doesn't he realize how many other Israeli families are suffering as a result of the depradations of these so-called "Palestinian victims?" Whatever anger and frustration he might be feeling toward the politicians for the way they've handled the kidnapping of Gilad, there was nothing to be gained by going to Europe (where the media savages Israel on a daily basis) and criticizing Israel's right to protect its citizens by embargoing an enemy sworn to the State's destruction. In fact, if anything, it will probably only serve to embolden the people who are holding Gilad captive, and if he thinks his misdirected sympathy for the Palestinians will help to effect Gilad's release, he's probably got another thing coming.

13. PR-
Lisa   (07.02.09)
and every time there is more PR about Shalit, the price goes up- he becomes more valuable to Hamas- . Good for Shalit's father to testify in Geneva- they need to hear it from individuals not politicians.
14. #9 Cursing the Pope and Italy?
Cynthia ,   USA   (07.02.09)
Maybe in your dreams. Bet you're also dreaming that you're in Israel. Very nice gesture from Italy.
15. The world's greatest parents

Very impressed by the extremely intelligent handling of their son's capture--really remarkable. Best wishes to those fine people!
16. #7 how dare you
S.   (07.02.09)
You should be ashamed of yourself! Family can visit their captured prisoners in Israeli prisons. THe Red Cross can visit them. What do we know of Shalit? We do not even know if he is alive. And then you demand 1000 prisoners (or more even) for one Jew. I did not realise that Hamas believed that a Jew is worth at least 1000 Arabs. Fair play would be one prisoner for one Shalit. One without blood in his/her hands as Shalit had none either.
17. god remembers and reward the one who act right

Lisa   (07.02.09)
'Europe, where the media savages Israel on a daily basis'-??????? I wonder what kind of newspapers YOU are reading- and which TV you are watching. There has hardly been ANY news about Israel lately- . As for Gilad: I agree- this latest PR can only harm. The more exposure, the more valuable he becomes to hams, and the more they demand... Gilad is their 'golden goose'... Besides: few people in the world understand why Israelis would want to trade 1000 murderers for one, maybe alive soldier.

Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (07.02.09)
B"H Is partial reporting equals lying? The statement issued by Frattini's Italian Foreign Ministry, while calling for Shalit's release, was careful to balance it out by calling on Israel to "show good will vis-à-vis the easing of the suffering of the population in Gaza. In this sense the Italian Foreign Ministry supports the mediation efforts of Egyptian Security Chief Omar Suleiman who is working hard to create a climate of better trust between the parties, that is a fundamental condition for the immediate release of Shalit". Is partial reporting equals lying?
22. Why dont you kidnap Jordanians
S.   (07.02.09)
and shoot rockets at Jordan? After all, it's 80% of the Palestinian mandate.
