31. For advantage.
Brad ,   USA   (07.03.09)
Israel should use any agreements for their own advantage, only. You know, the same way the muslim governments do. Make the agreement. Buy time with it. Break it whenever it outlasts it's usefulness. And, one more thing. Build on your own land (that includes Gaza, and the West Bank), and if the Jew haters squeel, that is proof that you just did the right thing.
32. #27 Dave - I completely agree with you. The question remains
Howard ,   NYC   (07.03.09)
Why have Israeli governments till now refrained from citing the San Remo Agreements and other documents of the time that back up Israel's rights to the land? Even to this day when they are with their back against the wall the government would rather beg for permission to build on their land than show proof of legal ownership. Furthermore, neither political leaders nor the population seem interested in those documents. Is there anything that would explain it?
33. There was also an agreement that the Pals stop violence
Rose ,   Netherlands   (07.04.09)
In fact, that was the whole point of the Oslo agreements: that Israelis could live safely. As long as that is not guaranteed, Israel should not feel committed to any agreement.
34. Honoring past agreements?
Gary Glaser ,   Hutchinson, MN, USA   (07.04.09)
Any study of the relationship of the US government with the native Americans should tell anyone about how much the word of the US government is worth. (Not much.) When you've got pathetic liars like the present Secretary of State, that's not much of a base for any peace agreement in the Middle East.
35. Always remember that DW did not let the Jews decide
Kerwood Derby ,   Frostbite Falls, MN   (07.04.09)
Of course the abrogation of Sharon's sworn oath, through his lips to honor the Likud's charter and referendum against the ceding of land and the Katif geroush is no problem for Weissglass. Disenfranchising the electorate and implementing the opposition Mitzna plan is not a problem for moser Weissglass. Abrogating the Akeidah, the binding of am Yisroel to the land is not a problem for the unbound areilim like Weissglass. Instead of endangering the state by creating a Judenrein in the land of the Jews own name, Yehudim in Yehuda and paying the ransom to genocidal mass-murdering, extortionists in the name of coexistence, the areilim should enforce the right of return of those that come to kill you back to the homicidal, Hamite, Peninsular homeland of their own name. That would be humane so you would not have kill the recidivist genocidal mass-murderers when they, G-d forbid, come to kill you again.
36. U.S. Congress&Harding signed Balfour
