1. ASSAD IS NOT INTERESSTED IN PEACE !!!.
ORAO STRANKA. ,   TSARIGRAD U SRBIA.   (07.06.09)
HE IS ONLY INTERESTED IN GOLAN. Syria can't expect to get the Golan Heights on a silver platter while maintaining its ties with Hezbollah and Iran, Israeli President Shimon Peres told German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Monday. WITHOUT THEESE TIES HE SHALL NOT EVEN THEN HAVE GOLAN. "Assad must understand that he will have to sit at the negotiations table if he wants real peace. He should not depend on mediators; he should sit at the table without any preconditions." ASSAD ALREADY HAS PEACE, HE DO NOT NEED TO SIT AT ANY TABLE FOR THAT. ISRAEL IS NO THREATH TO SYRIA AS LONG AS ASSAD CEEP HIS PEACE. Orao:
2. More nonsense from Peres.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (07.06.09)
The right answer is Syria can keep Hezbollah & we will keep the Golan. The Syrians can keep Peres too, if they want him.
3. Why should Assad or any Arab for that matter
lydia ,   Brisbane   (07.06.09)
Sit down and negotiate with a bunch of mendacious jews who have already proven themselves utterly reprehensible in violating past agreements. Nobody is that stupid. "Fool me once,,," Steinmeier should have pointed this out to Peres. Israel is the one demanding preconditions. There should be no new agreement. Steinmeier might take the whole motley crew back to Germany where it all started. Germany's problem should never have been foisted onto the hapless Palestinians.
4. he is arab of course he wants it all.

8. Peres and horse trading
Brod ,   USA   (07.06.09)
Peres should not be involved in horse trading over the Golan. The Golan is part of the Land of Israel which Israel liberated from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers in the 20th century. Its strategic value far outweighs any horse trading. Foreign entities who come to Israel crusading the Islamist-Jihadist craps should not be meeting with the wrong officials. They should be meeting with the right officials like the Foreign Minister and Prime Minister. It is time they stop circumventing the Government of Israel. It is time they should some professionalism in their work. Israel's government should not be welcoming these external crusaders into Israel. Israel has other more important matters to be dealing with than all these distractions. Israel should be focusing on the Ayatollahs' nuke threat like a hawk. This is a serious threat that will engulf the whole region and the world. It threatens Israel's national security interests, survival and existence. Iran's President has repeatedly threatened to effect a Final Solution on Israel in his speeches in Tehran, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. And the whole Islamist-Jihadist world applauded him. Iran is feverishly working on its nukes to accomplish its evil intention. Nukes in the hands of the fanatical Ayatollahs are like nukes in the hands of the fanatical Taliban and Osama Bin Laden and his thugs. They pose a great threat to Israel and the world.

10. You are idiots arent you?
Marco ,   Spain   (07.06.09)
You still dont get it. NO ONE owns Hezbollah. Hezbollah will always be your worst nightmare. Oh yes, you will give back the Golan and you will give back to the Palestinians their full undiminshed rights including the right of return because Iran is fast moving ahead of Hezbollah as your number one NIGHTMARE.
