3. Question...
Nour ,   Palestine   (07.06.09)
Q. If the bouncer from Moldova was appointed as "Foreign Minister", isn't he supposed to represent the State of Israel? He openly and unashamedly says he represents the settler mafia. Well, in light of his comment I see things more clearly now. Israel is controlled by its settler fanatics even at the detriment of 6 million Israelis.
4. enough nonsense -a grand likud kadima labor coalition now
avramele   (07.06.09)
and Deri can tutor yvette in prison ettiquette -- he's qualified
5. Well that says it all
Leah ,   Israel   (07.06.09)
The man who ran from lebanon and allowed that state to be taken over by Hizbullah terrorists The man who did not finish the war in Gaza and did not bring Gilad home is entrusted with our sacred land of Judea and Samaria. Do we really need Barak too deal with the talks knowing that if Judea and Samaria got handed on a plate to the Pals there would be missiles sent to ALL places in Central Israel and beyond plus the arabs will be building tunnels right under out major cities. Barak, definately a man we can not trust who most probably is bought by the Europeans like a few other MK's
6. But there also is a conflict of interest with Barak!
freejay333 ,   Israel   (07.06.09)
He would love to see all settlements destroyed and pander up to his buddy Hussein Obama! Bibi needs to get rid of this incompetent fool, Barak! WHy doesnt Lieberman just move out of the settlement he lives on, so there is no claim of conflict of interest?
7.  Liberman, Your honour, US relationships& Jews in USA/Europe
Observer   (07.06.09)
All of above are useless compared to the importance of Israeli public interests. Do not feel threatened of your seat and talk like corrupted Politician. You were voted for what you were and not for what you are now - Beware.
8. libermann is illegal!
ale ,   Italia   (07.06.09)
all is strange in israel... a nuke/bomb dreamers like liebermann became minister..... rabbis and haredim put jerusalem in riot saturday....asking for quiet... liebermann confirm that is impossible to talk with an illegal/settlers state like israel... another strange thing: israel....settlers land, home of liebermann, put his conditions 4 peace... the settler state.... settlers as leaders.... settlement like target... stealing, riotting, and killing like steps for 3rd temple.... it all so crazy. in this immoral world calling israel....heroes like liebermann and bibi' can be heroes....... settlers, and heroes.. jewish of course!
9. Nour (#3): Not a question at all --
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (07.06.09)
In fact, you never have questions, Nour, always answers, 80% of which make no sense due to your deep prejudices on all matters concerning Israel. In this case, let me point out two errors and/or biases in your thinking: 1) Lieberman has been put down by the socalled liberal (not liberal, in fact) left before, now it's coming from a man who often signs himself in, but not always, as a "Palestinian". The fact that Lieberman was working as a bouncer earlier in his life is nothing against him. The job wasn't illicit and the fact is, he was "working", which means he was not into welfare nor being a ward of the state. I suppose you prefer people who work at non-physical jobs, a kind of elitist attitude or perhaps you're just an "effete" intellectual. At any rate, no legitemate work is dishonourable but disrepecting a man who works, as you have done, is what I would call "disrespectful". As noted, I cannot abide those on the left who take cheap shots at Lieberman because he worked as a bouncer and neither can I abide you. The second point: You don't seem to be much into "reading comprehension" or, at best, you seem to purposely disregard what is printed plainly in front of you. Israel in not controlled, as you say, by socalled "settler fanatics" although settlers (village or town's people residing in the Westbank ) do have a say in how the government is run as Israel, may I remind you, is a very democratically run country. Lieberman went out of his way to allow Barak to take his place as foreign minister just so no one would accuse Israel of his (Lieberman) having a personal bias in terms of favouring those Israelis residing beyond the Green Line (socalled "Palestinian" territory). Of course Lieberman, like any Israeli, had to have a residence somewhere in Israel. I suppose if he were from Jerusalem, you'd say Israel was "biased" regarding the question of keeping Jerusalem united under Israeli stewardship. Because of your inability to take a perspective on the question of Israeli-Palestinian matters, your current post and many of your past ones as well are no better than propaganda comments which would be better received in Haaretz or on one of your Arabic networks where only propaganda pieces are permitted.
10. Liberman the settler
his excuse should be   (07.06.09)
"because I am a Russain bouncer and this land belongs to the Palestinians"
11. As a settler, you should not be Foreigh Minister
Smadar Kubobi ,   Rishon LeZion   (07.07.09)
12. Barak in stead of Lieberman Meets Mitchell
Scorpio ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.08.09)
First Sarkozi insults Israel's Foreign Minister, then the U.S. dictates to its "special friend." Enough, isn't it? What kind of pretzel does Israel wish to twist itself into now? Stand up, O Israel. Defy your enemies; they don't have your interest at heart. If not now, when? It might be too late then.
