1. Interference - big time!
Shalom   (07.08.09)
How do we know that these kids lives are going to be enriched by internet access? Sounds to me that this is a slippery slope for their communities - I would not be in a hurry if I was their parents
2. #1, are you deranged?
Soch ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.09.09)
Access to the internet is unquestionably one of the most useful tools that exists today. No matter what you do in life, it is a resource that can help. Obviously, like all tools, internet access CAN be abused or lead to potential dangers, especially for children. Parents should ALWAYS be aware of the influences in the lives of their children. Your implication, Shalom, that just because a tool can potentially be dangerous that it is should not be made available to people is monstrous. What's next? Removing toilets from peoples homes because some child might sneak away from their parents and drown in them? Or do you only recommend that for poor families?
3. The double edged sword
David ,   Rhode Island   (07.10.09)
It can broaden people's horizons on the one hand and, on the other, can bolster the prejudiced misconceptions of a bigot.
4. To #3: Yes, like all things, you have the good and the bad!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (07.11.09)
The bad part of the Internet is when parents are too busy to see what their kids are doing on the net. A kid with a computer in his/her room who locks the door should sound an alarm. Nanny software is available but any bright computer kid can hack it. Use the Internet but more important, communicate with your kids! Show them the good things and talk about the the bad things. Children are intelligent and deserve to be treated as such. Discuss do not talk down to them. Agree on limits and what is right and what is wrong! Talk about the dangers openly and you will find they know about them. This way the Internet can be safe and friendly and a great learning tool.
5. How are they going to watch the sheep and camels then?
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (07.12.09)
This what these kids have been doing so far at the insistence of their fathers, for helping the family make a living
6. When the automobile came out in America
David ,   Rhode Island   (07.14.09)
The preachers called them brothels on wheels.
7. Yay!!!!! What's the internet?
Phil Shmendrik ,   Jerusalem   (07.15.09)
8. if the bedoin kids are reading this
