What Obama said does NOT contradict what Biden said, for the simple reason that Biden never gave Israel the green light. All Biden said (albeit, very badly phrased) was that Israel has the right as a sovereign country to make its own decisions. That doesn't mean that America will necessarily agree with Israel's decision.
