This so-called commission of inquiry handcuffed itself from the start by restricting evidence to the six months before and including Operation Cast Lead. That means the UN is admitting it is ignoring one of the root causes of the conflict - the 8 years of war crimes by Palestinians who fired some 10 thousand rockets and mortars at Israeli civilians. The commission locked itself out of reality, and thus its findings and conclusions will be illegitimately based on only a fraction of the truth. Afganistan, Iraq (2 invasions), and Pakistan civilians are being bombed and murdered by the US. Russia murdered 2000 civilians in ONE WEEK in Georgia last summer. The Sri Lankan govt murdered over 20,000 civilians in ONE MONTH in the Tamil area. Add the perviously mentioned NATO murdering of civilians. Where are the "Commissions of Inquiry" for them? Once again, one set of rules with which to attack Jews, another set for the rest of the world!

Israel put up with Hamas bombing them for eight long years before going into Gaza. What did the U.N. do then? The death toll should be placed squarely on Hamas and the Palestinians for allowing a terrorist group to run their government. Israel had no choice but to end the bombings from Gaza.
