Asher ,   NY,USA   (07.16.09)
2. Hmm, does Livni forget that she & Sharon did the exact same
thing and formed ,   Kadima????   (07.16.09)
3. This will also facilitate a split in the Labour Party
Chaim   (07.16.09)
This sort of behaviour is so anti-democratic its absurd. If x people voted for Kadima, then they want KADIMA representing them, not LIKUD.
4. Removing Kadima
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.16.09)
Good news ! Kadima is no better than any other "enemies of the State"
5. This could also facilitate a split in the Likud
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (07.16.09)
Bibi should be careful or he could enable those in his own party who are not happy to leave too.
6. a is Kadima a hebrew transaltion of Titanic
zionist forever   (07.16.09)
As long as Bibi treads carefully and avoid causing any rifts within his own government then he is doing exactly the right thing. In its three years that it ran the country Kadima caused so much damage to Israel that it may never recover fully especilly now our one time allies have sided with the enemy ( US ) Olmert & Livni publicly endorsed divding Jerusalem. They took Assad who was an international outcast shunned by even the UN, Olmert was condemmed by the US for offering to give Assad the Golan for nothing. Any efforts Bibi makes to destroy Kadima is only speeding up the slow death the party is currently facing and has done since Olmert left. Livni didn't win the chairmanship by the expected landslide she won by 30 votes. She didn't bring them the promised ekection victory and instead of joining the coalition when it was offered to her including a veto over certain government policies and the fact she would be number 2 after only Bibi himself in terms of importance she rejected the idea unless he agreed to rotate the premiership, Her ego to her is more imporant than obligations to party or country. She promised she would be a strong opposition to government policy but so far Mofaz has been saying more than the leader of this strong opposition and even he hasnt been saying much. Livni has tried to fight for arab rights and has tried to pass bills making it illegal to apoint a defector from another party to minister status all in the hopes of saving the party. The Titanic is sinking and Bibi just wants to blow a few more holes in it so it sinks quicker and makes sure it can never be raised.
7. Peacenow/kadima.Get rid of 'em and her

8. What good it das for Israel?
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (07.16.09)
Our taxes are being used to feed horses or donkey? Why our ministers and MK's are spending more time to elaborate complex insults to each other then using their time to work for us? For example our government should encourage the haridim in Jerusalem to go back to the cities where their ancestors came from in Ukraine, Poland, Romania etc etc next to the tombs of their holly masters and far from our sinful parking lots.
9. #3 you are right
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.16.09)
It is an undemocratic and dirty trick. Sadly, Israeli politicians have behaved like this for years. Everyone remembers how Sharon/Olmert/Livni did worse to the Likud, but of course it started when Rabin paid cash to Goldfarb, Segev and Salmovitz to leave Tzomet.
10. Floor crossing is wrong in a system where you vote for a par
rebecca ,   modiin   (07.16.09)
In a political system were we vote for a party, floor crossing is invalidating our votes and democracy. If you want to improve the system, let us vote for individual MPs to represent our area. If they then feel the need to change parties it's ok. We vote for them, not the party.
11. Bibi is doing a Chavez: Trying to for a One Party State!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (07.16.09)
Netanyahu is obsessed with power and will stoop to any level to archive it. He buys and sells Knesset seats with taxpayers money! As for Mofaz, Kadimah should throw the garbage out! He lost lost the Primary and is taking revenge on the party! Great guy Mofaz. Mediocre Chief if the IDF and should bare some responsibility for the complacency that let to the 2nd Lebanon War. He sat on his backside, a General, while Olmert and Peretz mismanaged the War! So, if Mofaz and some other do leave Kadimah, is Bibi going to rebuild the Knesset to house 45 Cabinet Ministers and who is going to pay for that? The other question is does Likud want him?
12. Livni can't negotiate and is continually out maneuvered!
redbourn ,   tel aviv   (07.16.09)
We should all look up at the sky and say "thank you that Livni is not PM". She would have been a disaster! Mike
13. Mofaz Bill
steven stein ,   New York   (07.22.09)
Mofaz is the Man! He should have been the chairman of the party Livni is a crybaby thank goodness she is not prime minister
