Well, in that case, I guess you don't want: Heart/kidney/liver/brain surgery, any artifical joints, any modern drugs, sulfa compounds, bone marrow transplants, anti-cancer drugs of any kind, hormone replacement therapy. X-ray, MRI, or sonagram based diagnostics, crash protection in your car, bullet proof vests for your police, etc, etc, etc.

I have to agree. I understand that there may be times when there is only one way, but killing hundreds of animals as high up the food chain as monkeys? They have to find a better way. Humans have make a choice, monkeys don't.

This has to be taken before exposure to radiation and only lasts a short time. It could prevent cancer cells as well as normal cells from suciding. This is a great start could lead to a great break though but alittle early to tell yet.

At 1992 working at Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel I found compound (chemical, stable, no complications cause ctr) that perfectly protected hamster's cells against alpha and gamma irradiation. The data was not published because of objective problems but I would be glad to collaborate with any scientist to continuer the study and to demonstrate the effect of the compound.
