Even saying that Iranian people are friends with Israeli people instead of their regimes(distinguishing Zionists from Jews and - the problem - by extension distinguishing the Islamic rulers from Shi'ite Moslems) is too much for the hardline ayatollah elite. In mentioning a well functioning society in Israel I assume you refer to democracy and a free market economy - which is correct. But Israel is not without hardline religionists of its own(in govt and opposition) that would like to replace secular democracy for a Jewish Torah state. In Israel the religious fundamentalists are a growing minority that dream of a coup that would enable them to impose their rule on the majority. Then the kettle would indeed be (literally) black.
