1. It is Not Required that Al Qaeda Recognize America, WHY then
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (07.23.09)
is it required that PA/PLO terrorist organization recognize Israel? It BREAKS International Law to make agreements with terrorists! DECLARE ALL AGREEMENTS - OSLO-ROAD MAP, etc. NULL AND VOID
2. WONDERFUL..
BRANT ,   Hilton Head USA   (07.22.09)
Congratulations, Barack Obama. Look at what your pressure on Israel has done to the PA and Fatah. .What's next? More pressure on Israel so Iran and Syria can up the threat??? Someone educate this imbecile with the smooth teleprompter.

4. I hope Obama's listening, but he has bigger problems now!
Jane ,   London, UK   (07.22.09)
This article clearly shows how naive Obama is about world affairs. And Americans have twigged him to. Jane
5. Peace?
Bruce ,   Efrat, Israel   (07.22.09)
These are the "moderates" with whom the rest of the world envisions leading a Palestinian state living in peace, side by side with a country that they don't recognize. Please.
6. Its about time...
Marco ,   Spain   (07.22.09)
you realize that Hamas was right in its stance with regards to Israel.
7. Can we PLEASE ship these thugs back to Tunisia?
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (07.23.09)
8. Hamas is right about Fatah traitors.
Steve   (07.23.09)
Rafik al-Natsheh said: 'We will not recognize Israel. Not only don't we demand that anyone recognize Israel; we don't recognize Israel ourselves. HOWEVER, the Palestinian Authority government is required to do it, or else it will not be able to serve the Palestinian people." PA government, which is controlled by Fatah, is required to recognize the Zionist enemy? Article eleven of the Hamas charter says the following: "The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Muslim generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Muslim generations till Judgement Day?" Hamas right. Fatah leaders are traitors. Every one of them. They are traitors to Islam; they are traitors to Allah. They are the "hypocrites" that Allah warned Muhammad about as it is related in the Qur'an. Hamas killed Fatah traitors in Gaza. If Israel withdraws from the West Bank, Hamas will kill Fatah traitors in the West Bank.
9. It's about time, take two...
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.23.09)
... THANK YOU Fatah for proving what we've been claiming ever since Madrid: you are NOT different than Hamas or any Muslim Terror Gang. You seek our destruction - either by using Arafat's "10 phases plan for destruction of Israel" (the first phase including a treacherous peace), or by sheer terror and genocide. THANK YOU for clarifying whatever doubts anyone in Israel may have had regarding the real intentions of the Palestinians and the kind of "peace" they will be offering to us in exchange for bending over and handing the vaseline. So my message to PLO is: yes, it is FULL and merciless WAR. Pity that you will be bringing even more suffering, desasters and despair to the innocent palestinians. Their ill fate and their blood will be on your hands alone. Be prepared for a decisive, relentless and merciless war. And if you dream that Hezbollah, Damascus and Teheran will be of any help - forget it. You are fueled by racism and hatred. We are fueled by survival and in our fight for survival, you and Damascus, Teheran and Hezbollah terror gangs and dictatorships will be destroyed to such an extent that it will take centuries to return to "normal" life. You made your choice. Now be ready to suffer the consequences!
10. Who is Rafik al-Natsheh?
James Hovland ,   USA   (07.23.09)
Like every other radical voice out there, this guy represents his own views with the false assumption that he has many followers. I don't think Rafik has any real authority to speak for Fatah, and I know he doesn't have the authority to speak for Palestine. Just another radical. It's not like Israel doesn't have plenty of their own. Should we be taking radical statements from Israel's settler movements and publishing them as if they represented official Israeli policy?
11. But Akiva Eldar said they had recognised the state of Israel
Adam   (07.23.09)
12. #10 James
David ,   USA, exile   (07.23.09)
Go get a 21st century education. There is no such place as palestine. It doesn't exist now and it has never existed. It is only an insulting name given to Judah by the Romans to try and upset them. There is no such thing as a palestinian. There are only amalak, esav and various arabs. There is no such place as westbank. Only Judea and Shomron. Go learn before you shoot off your mouth about Israeli radicals.
13. Anoter example of Pals being their own worst enemy
William ,   Israel   (07.23.09)
Hope you enjoy another 60 years of despair and a screwed economy. Thanks to your violence (and that of the Arabs) Israel continues to build up defenses making your stupid Intifadas more and more worthless. But that's ok, as Pal leaders you know the Pal people will gladly take another one for the team.
14. #6 - And look how well it worked out for them
William ,   Israel   (07.23.09)
More pain and violence exists in Gaza than ever before because of Hamas' brutal rule and their desire to kill outweighing their desire to help their constituents with an economy or job. If the West Bank Pals want the same, who are we to stop them?
15. #8 - Steve - Muhammed warnings
William ,   Israel   (07.23.09)
Was this before or after he contradicted himself several times and claimed (as a child who stole candy) "the devil made me do it"?
16. #10 - But in Israel we know (+/-) who's in charge
William ,   Israel   (07.23.09)
Over there in Pally land, no one knows who's in charge from one day to the next. While one makes agreements, the other blows up buses. By the way - leave the settler movement out of this. Those radical voices are known to be a small percentage of total settlers, though you may choose to believe otherwise.
17. If you think that Obama...
AlbertoGA ,   St. George, USA   (07.23.09)
Is not aware of the Agenda of Fatah Then we are all wasting time. Obama is not concerned about Israel survival one inch, OK ! It is a nonsense to trust the guy. In the US more and more people are now aware of his communistic Agenda. The Survival of Israel does not fingure in his list.
18. As If Anyone Really Cares
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (07.23.09)
Fatah must be living under the misguided illusion that anyone really cares if they recognize Israel or not. The civilized world long ago gave up on the Palestinians as they stumble around making dumb decisions and asinine statements such as this.
19. are you listening , obama?
oded   (07.23.09)
1- there never was a "partner" in peace with the "palestinans". 2- these are so- called "moderates"... what a joke. 3- the only solution is an organised ,compensated emigration of all arabs from the west bank to jordan. 4- gaza to be annexed by israel, hams obliteraed, and gush katif settlements to be reinstated. obama will pay for it. heck, he is paying for just about anythig else there. 5- any" ressitence" will be met with heavy hand and expolsion of all their leaders, abbas included back to tunis. 6- oslo is dead !dead!
20. to marco from ""spain"""
oded   (07.23.09)
you can hide behind your "spanish identiy, but everyone here know that you are a cowerd who has zero knowledge of anything. in fact, you an nour can make a nice pair... in teheran of afganistan. it befits you both. 2 losers!
21. Well, okay
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (07.23.09)
True colors revealed at last. Israelis always knew this. You see, Fatah -- which was the core membership of the so-called "PLO," is made up primarily of people who are not interested in living in the West Bank or in Gaza. They want to come back to their so-called homes in Israel proper. Not going to happen. But thank you for providing proof positive to the world that your real goal is the destruction of the State of Israel and the extermination of the Jewish people. Now we know EXACTLY how to deal with you. Say bye-bye .... time to (finally!) float off the world stage and deal with your future as best you can. I sympathetically offer up Jordan as the true "Palestinian state." Leave Israel alone. The alternatives for you aren't all that good .....
22. NP
Roy ,   USA   (07.23.09)
NP No Problem! THERE WILL NEVER BE A "PALESTINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" PERIOD EXCLAMATION POINT WHATEVER
23. Why won't Fatah, says more about...
publius ,   USofA   (07.23.09)
Why won't Fatah, says more about the Palestinian street than anything else. It says in the struggle with Hamas for the heart and soul of Palestinian politics, Fatah aka the PA authority realizes that any bold step to reach an agreement with Israel will open up the door for Hamas to undermine the PA govt. If the Palestinian street truely supported the idea that a solution that ended with the birth of a UN reconized State in the West Bank and Gaza in a binding manner, then politics being politcs would have Fatah recognize the Israeli State in return. It is simple logic how can it be called a Peace settlement if one party still publically clings to waging war against the other. Seeing that Fatah won't recognize Israel is simply a fact on the ground, the Palestinian street whole heartly embraces the war of hatred otherwise Fatah would jump at the chance to cement its role and authority to lead the PA Authority into a new era, and era where Palestinian asperations are realized in the founding of a Palestinian State.
24. Israel should forget about peace and..............
Bernard Ross ,   St anns bay, jamaica   (07.23.09)
....strengthen its military industrial complex. It should seriously consider expansion and independence. Peace will be more trouble than war. Why not enter the west bank and liquidate fatah and hamas and then send the arab occupiers to jordan. this will end all the talk. It is time to end accomodation, give peace for peacew only, not for land. If israel sowed fear they would beg for peace.
25. I think its a good news. Take pressure off Israel.
leo ,   USA   (07.23.09)
26. I see
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (07.23.09)
B"H If this is confirmed I see PA donors in the uncomfortable position of having to explain their role as international financiers of terrorism. It's not nice to give million dollar gifts of military equipment, rifles, bullets, jeeps, training, know-how and expertise every day to self-declared Jew-killers. Will the "good terrorists" be stupid enough to show their real face and renounce their new SUVs, garden swimming pools and fat Swiss bank accounts?

29. Diplomacy, then violence.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (07.23.09)
On the last Friday before the Sharm A-Sheikh peace summit between then-Israeli Prime Minister Arial Sharon and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in February 2005, PA TV broadcast an official sermon which made clear to Palestinians the role, in Palestinian eyes, of peace talks. Ibrahim Mudayris, on February 4, 2005, delivered the sermon in which he called for Palestinians to use diplomacy to return to the 1967 lines, but violence to destroy Israel. The way to deal with these people : http://xrl.us/biz8x
30. Funds to murderous partnership.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (07.23.09)
It is time for President Obama to remove his blinders and stop donating US-taxpayer funds to murderous partnership. It is also time for Congress to demand a proper monitoring program to oversee the legitimate use of US aid to Abbas who repeatedly claims : “We have a legitimate right to direct our guns against Israel “occupation”. Occupation ? Who is occupying ? at : http://xrl.us/berwte
