The arrest of Shas's friends in New york on money laundering charges shows that they need a remnder in what they shoyuld trust. Unfortunately, all U.S. money say "In God We Trust" but these Rabbis, instead of heeding the slogan on the money, laundered the money to help others engage in illegal acts. Shas talking about God is like Ahmadinejad talking about peace and love.

Will it stop firms like Pelephone sweet talking their customers into taking other deals without mentioning all the facts. New deal can end up dearer for you after you go into the place to get a cheaper deal? I was reading about all the dissatisfied Pelephone customers. We need laws in this country to safeguard people at places like Pelephone. I dont think the manager of Pelephone will read the message on the bank notes. He just wants plenty bank notes to line his pockets.

Israel has a high percentage of people who dont believe in gods of any sort. This would alienate them. People need to stop making a state of jews into a jewish state. Many jews just dont care about anything to do with religion or god, and lot also find such things offensive. Maybe as a compromise they should have 'We believe in the creator' and 'We believe in gay pride' to make it fully inclusive. Because something like this would anger secular people like the pride parade gets the goat of the Haredim. Israel is heading downhill fast.......

Maybe he’s trying to reach out to the corrupt and deceitful Haredi community, the thieves, the liars, the shady and the fraudulent. Maybe he feels if the words 'We believe in the Creator’ are extolled across our bank notes – it’ll deter the Haredim from committing fraudulent and other despicable acts. Somehow I doubt it. If they steal, cheat, lie, bribe and commit fraud, AND they claim to be religious, then I doubt a few sentiments splashed across a bank note is going to stop them. PS: I couldn't care how outraged Ahmad Tibi is – he should have been kicked out the Knesset yonks ago.

I think this would make a much better statement! This bill infuriates me. I can't believe he is wasting our tax money puting through this stupid, useless bills when there are so many social and environmental problems that need to be fixed!
