1. "embarrassed and destabilized"
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (07.30.09)
Hizbollah is discovered to be in clear violation of UN Resolution 1701 which ended hostilities in 2006 -- and where is the hue and outcry? Where are the protests, and General Assembly meetings calling for a strongly-worded condemnation of Hizbollah? Where is a strongly-worded statement from the European Union and the United States decrying both Hizbollah's clear violation of Resolution 1701 AND condemning UNIFIL for allowing (whether by design or by incompetence) Hizbollah to stockpile weapons? Yeah. Right.

Sarah B is right - this is rubbing the collective noses into Hizbollahs flaunting of the 1701. Not that it comes as a surprise, though - when called upon to deliver their weapons, if I remember correctly, their answer was, "come and get them if you dare" or similar, so, noone came and noone did. Poor Lebanon.

This all makes great news stories but be certain of this, the world will will suffer in the Middle East until a critical mass is reached in the awareness THAT THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR HATRED and that is for everyone on the planet.
