I agree 100% with you, just that the real problem is not the naive North Americans, nor the colonialist Europeans. The problem is all the self hating Jews that work against Israel that make me feel ashamed. They love their ideas more than they love Israel, they believe they are more important than the land of Israel, they are sure they are so cute that it's not important if the price of their cuteness is the State of Israel.

... and, sadly, so true.

In a word: antisemitism. The world is also silent about the accidental bombing strikes that killed civilians in Afghanistan.
5. You might not like your wish to come true

The author of this article whines that the world seems to be picking on Jewish nurseries ("natural growth") and doing nothing about those evil Iranians. But Iran has sanctions so severe that they can no longer fix their aircraft -- and which has led to several crashes in recent weeks. There are no sanctions on Israel despite its violations of international law. That's a good deal for Israel. Quit whining.

"violations of internation law" Cite some. Grandiose statements are all well and good, but you really need to document them if you expect anyone to pay attention. Don't bother with Gaza -- a lot of bluff and bluster internationally, to be sure (to be expected?) but no violations of international law or convention. Forget the settlements, too -- Israel acquired the West Bank while fighting a defensive war against Jordan. Under the Second and Third Hague Conventions, Israel has every right to retain the territory acquired and to settle it. So kindly articulate what "violations of international law" you believe Israel has committed, and cite to international treaty and convention (Note: international treaty and convention, not United Nations resolution). Before you start throwing around the phrase "Geneva Convention," check to make sure that Israel is a signatory to the various articles and has not repudiated any. (Hint, hint!) I eagerly await your response. Next?

er, not...
8. #5 David. That's only your opinion

Not one single UN resolution concerning Israel is legally binding, other than those voluntarily adopted by Israel as basis for negociations, because they were all either adopted under Chapter VI of the UN Charter, or they are General Assembly Resolutions, which may as well say that the Earth is flat for all they are worth. Then you've got the UN Court of Justice, which can only issue advisory rulings, not legally binding decisions. After all, the UN was not permitted by its Charter to be an unelected oligarchy that tyrannically forces its politically motivated judgments on democratic member nations. You wouldn't want America to be on the receiving end of a legally-binding UN condemnation. So quit whining. As for the sanctions on Iran, clearly you have no idea how those work. The only UN sanctions on Iran concern products used for uranium enrichment. It is true that US has wide-ranging sanctions on Iran - but for the Europeans, the Russians, and the Chinese, it's business as usual. In fact, European countries have substancial economic interests and dealings with Iran, and the Russians and Chinese are principal suppliers. Most of the Iranian aircraft were Russian-made, and they do get supplied with spare parts. Your allegations are verbatim repetitions of the Iranian state media, not based on actual facts. If you want something to complain about, why don't you address the rather valid points that #4 raised, concerning all those dead civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
9. It is so obvious

Like in 4th grade. Start a story and the whole school rapidly believes it. The world and its leaders anre shameless sheep following the wolf (Radical Islam). We need to stop caring what they whine about, complain about , lie about and exaggerate about. We should not join the group of sheep.
10. You're Surprised?
Shimon ,   Cincinnati, USA   (07.30.09)
Essentially the double standard continues to exist with the twist that now the Europeans and Americans don't seem too opposed to kissing Arab/Moslem butt. Well, surprise. Maybe all Israel has to do is do it's own thing and tell them to scr*w off.
11. and what about the Sri Lankan massacre?
Geert ,   A'dam   (08.01.09)
There are up to 100,000 people "missing"... O, well, no time for that, we must deal with those bloody Jews...
12. A tale of two pities
Sam ,   Australia   (08.03.09)
Your opening statement belies the complete lack of reality you administer across your whole sorry bag of gas that you have belched here. Dont be fooled into thinking world consensus is not taking a very serious stance on all issues including that of the illegal and completely perverse behavior of the Israeli government in cleansing Jerusalem of Palestinians. Dont take us for fools.

The neutral world isn't silent on any crime committed as long as it is broadcast through the media, be it Mideastern, Asian, European, American or African. It is you cherry picking the word "nurseries" while hiding the fact that the land is being ethnically cleansed from Palestinians. I think the writer of this article and the commentators stopped trying to lie, and are simply engaging in a quest to rationalize their homicidal fantasies by figuring out melodramatic phrases they can recite to themselves every time they look in the mirror . You have no idea how this looks like from the outside do you?
