1. Idiots -- learn geography!
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (07.31.09)
Since when is the Dead Sea so-called "occupied territory?" Two-thirds belongs to Israel; one-third belongs to Jordan. Mitspe Shalom is on the Israeli side, and is further north than Ein Gedi! The depths of ignorance never cease to amaze me! And I have to say -- several of the women depicted in the photograph SHOULD NEVER, EVER wear a bikini .....
2. Judging by their pictures
Sidney ,   USA   (07.31.09)
they need Ahava products.
3. ugly woman protesting beauty
izzy d   (07.31.09)
4. too much time on their hands
Barney ,   USA   (07.31.09)
these are bimbos with too much time on their hands and not enough brains in their head and no amount of cosmetics could help them. maybe that is why they protest
5. Palestine? What's that?
Jake   (07.31.09)
6. Thank you ladies. I will now buy more Ahava.
Jake   (07.31.09)
7. Against the Geneva Convention
William ,   Israel   (07.31.09)
Exactly which part of Ahava's business is against the Geneva Convention? These women are just protestors, ala 1960s hippies, looking for their next fight, and the first casualty is the truth. There is NO violation of Intl law or Geneva Convention no matter how many times its repeated. West Bank is not occupied but disputed and its return in 1967 to Jordan was rejected by Amman essentially giving it back to Israel. Infact, some of the workers at Ahava are Palestinians and essentially to make themselves feel better, these women insist to close down the businesses and put Pals out of work. These are your friends, Pals. Enjoy them.
8. I hope they come to Boston to protest
William ,   Israel   (07.31.09)
Though it's more expensive here - I'm going to walk past them proudly and buy lots of the stuff, then squirt it on them while I walk out the door. Surprised they aren't going after the mall kiosks which sell other Dead Sea products similar to Ahava. Just wait until they feel emboldened and demand all produce from Israel be boycotted because rain runoff from Judean hills. Total BS.
9. you have to understand them
smith   (07.31.09)
they are bunch of idiots and losers...
10. It's true, even by israeli law...

11. Israel doean't need external enemies:
sergio ,   Italia   (07.31.09)
she's got enough enemies inside!
12. According to Oslo accords, Mitzpe Shalem is Area C
Jake   (07.31.09)
Full Israeli civil and security control is recognized by international law, and Israel can do whatever the @#$% it wants there, pending a final agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Note, I say, Palestinian Authority, not "Palestine", because there is no "Palestine", and therefore there can be no "Occupied Palestine". The territory in question has not fallen under the control of any recognized sovereign since the fall of the Ottoman Empire, after which the League of Nations earmarked it for the Jewish National Home. What's more, the argument that Mitzpe Shalem, or any other Israeli settlement in the "West Bank", violates the 4th Geneva Convention, is legally null and void. In order for Mitzpe Shalem to be in violation, its residents would have to have been "deported or transferred" there. Clearly, every single resident is there of his/her own accord, and would view any attempt to move them out of Mitzpe Shalem as transfer and deportation. On a final note, I would agree with the Code Pink ladies that Ahava lotion is definitely not for them. What they need is several layers of some of that thick black Dead Sea mud.
13. Buy Ahava products. Support Israel. Support Peace.
David ,   Boston, USA   (07.31.09)

15. Ugly anti semitic womyn.
Golan ,   SL   (07.31.09)
On th eone hand they are idiots, but on the other they are also anti-Semitic. They should also learn history and geography. But then what can you expect from a Womyn Studies major.
16. try the make-up remover
CL ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.31.09)
Try the Ahava eye make-up remover. I highly recommend it. Gentle, not too expensive, not oily.

18. #2 Sidney...You got that right!
Malone ,   Hfx   (07.31.09)
19. actually, they are wrong
(07.31.09)
ahava products are extracted from the dead sea (never been a palestinian territory and pals never claimed it to be so) itself in the form of mineral essential/chemicals to skin care. those chemicals are processed in hadera and natania (both cities within the green line and israeli land proper). the settlements do not have a single production line nor a factory or lab that produces of markets ahava products or any product with the name ahava on it. ahava is a more than 80 mil. export for israel directly from the dead sea natural resources. no one in the world would claim that the dead sea is occupied territory and neither the cities of hadera and natania. i think these fulls are full of bs. please do your research before you get naked for no good reason. if you want to protest, i have one good event for you: darfur, somalia, china, saudi arabia, egypt, etc. these need severe human rights modification as well as most islamic countries were humans are expendable daily in the thousands. if you want to do good, do good. but don't hold on to a flimsy excuse to bash israel because it makes you all look like a bunch of idiots. avital nehamias ahv prd., inc. natania israel
20. Code Pink
NYC Girl   (07.31.09)
Instead of protesting against Ahava, maybe these harridans should be protesting the honor killing of the 27 year-old mother of 5 children...and all the other honor killings that have taken place in their so-called Palestine. After all, if they're an "anti-war" movement, why haven't they woken up to the fact that honor killings are a war against women?
21. Not to worry!
David   (07.31.09)
The Code pink women are so ugly that no beauty products would help them and I am sure they don't use it either. For that reason their boycott won't impact the industry at all. Ahava could use the photos for advertising: Look what happens to those who don't use our products!
22. Someone give these passionate ignoramuses a history book and
OccupiedNativeAmeric ,   OccupiedDCburbs   (07.31.09)
send them on an archeological dig in Israel where they will find Jewish history inb the land for 4000 years. get these hypocrites off occupied native american land
23. Code Pink
Jen06 ,   Ohio, US   (07.31.09)
Code Pink has credibility only among themselves. Personally, I feel I should apologize for their existence.
24. Aha, so that's where...
Don't mean to gloat ,   West Coast USA   (07.31.09)
...these wackos went. I was wondering what happened to them after the US Marines ran them out of Berkeley (of all places!) a little while back... http://tinyurl.com/5dtfuh
25. My Eyes
Rob ,   NYC   (07.31.09)
My Eyes! My Eyes!
26. my, are they ugly
david ,   new york   (07.31.09)
there should be a law against them wearing bikinis
27. I've been to Israel....
Frank ,   NJ, USA   (07.31.09)
This is simple ignorance at best and downright lies at worst. I've been to the Dead Sea (Ein Gedi) and the Ahava facility nearby (and Masada, etc.). There was no "stealing" at all. Ahava was simply harvesting the natural resources of the area and making it into a fine product (per my wife). I'm not Jewish, nor Israeli, so I have no vested interested. But I simply could not let a people, country and yes, even a corporation be smeared (no pun here) when there is nothing. It simply isn't right. Last I heard, and any Israeli may feel free to correct me, Jordan and Israel were BOTH WORKING TOGETHER in trying to figure out how to stop the waterline from receding and the Dead Sea shrinking. That to me seems like the more critical problem here. Not the so called stealing of mud and other such minerals from the area.
28. Trauma
Ari   (07.31.09)
I may have to file a lawsuit after having seen them in bikinis, that was traumatic for my eyes.
29. My girlfriend read this article and now bought
Korem ,   New York, USA   (07.31.09)
Ahava products with the intent to use them regularly and recommend them to others. Her skin is even more wonderfully smooth now! Thanks, protestors!
30. Buy Ahava
chaim ,   Santa Monica, USA   (07.31.09)
These women are misguided. Don't let their misintentions hurt good people. Buy mor Ahava products.
