1. Self Destruction
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem - ISRAEL   (08.04.09)
A third "intifada" would be self destructive for Palestinians as a people if not as a defunct Authority. We have had two self-destructive "intifadas" that backfired and drove the Palestinian cause along retrogression. The first one ended with the ill-fated "Oslo Accords" of 1993, while the second one has resulted in tragic bloodshed for Israelis and Palestinians. I still wonder if the second intifada, which was ignited by Ariel Sharon's visit to Aksa Mosque campus in 2000,was the right response ; only a few weeks ago Israeli minister of internal security suddenly visited the Aksa campus and Palestinians showed no reaction at all except for some cheap, worthless verbal condemnations ! I can safely conclude Palestinians are driven into costly and bloody 'intifadas" by intimidation and mortal threats exercised by Palestinian militant factions.Otherwise we know life is dear and we live only once , so why not let us live our lives with reasonable dignity and relative happiness ? I hereby have no compunction to criticize the Palestinian Authority for its foul-smelling corruption, exploitativeness, and opportunism while simultaneously also criticizing Gaza's HAMAS for its unrealistic and impractical demands and for its much-loathed efforts to Islamize the people.I am a secular Palestinian and I have the right to live after my own way without being told or coerced how to live. I am fed up with this life of violence and opression and, should there be another "intifada", I would certainly sit back and watch idly what would follow. Abdel Karim Salim Sharif Arab from Jerusalem
2. No Surprises Here
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (08.04.09)
Absolutely nothing these dysfunctional misfits think up would surprise anyone any more.
3. Third intifada?
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (08.04.09)
Okay. Bring it on. This time, the bullets won't be rubber and there will be no warning shots. Israel has been patient with you. Not any more. Bring it on. Watch what happens to you. Riot away. Hope you don't mind dying or being deported.
4. Resistance is prudent
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach, USA   (08.04.09)
Israel proves to Fatah daily that it is intent on grabbing all Palestinian land and leaving the Palestinians in tents or refugee camps throughout the world, or just killing them if they resist. In that case, it is prudent to do exactly that: resist. Should a fly "support" a man holding a fly swatter?
5. Stupid Israel
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.04.09)
You fell for the fake peace scam that your false god's on the Potomac pushed on you and now you see the handwriting on the wall. The Road Map has always led to hell as I told you ,but you didn't belive me. You trusted you special, elite liar's in Washington instead. Still you are to stupid to stop U.S. interference in Israel's sovereignty.
6. The next Intifada should mean total expulsion of the Arabs.
JMK ,   NYC   (08.04.09)
7. Another intifada?
Jonny Gee ,   Brookline, MA   (08.04.09)
Let them bring it on. Then do what should have been done already - kick them out once and for all.
8. Intifada
Meir ,   Arad   (08.04.09)
Nor dialogue nor armed confrontation will ever lead to a Palestinian state. The enemies of Israel must have their heads crushed and not allowed them a "congress" on Jewish Land. Supporting any Arab organization by the Israeli government is suicidal.
9. Just annex Judea and Samaria and be done with it
BJL   (08.04.09)
No more fooling around. The only way to end this nonsense is to tell the arabs NO! This land is ours and we will not split it anymore
10. Abbas the moderate.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (08.04.09)
Abbas is not a moderate, as the Israeli and Western world believes, and his actions confirms this evidence. He approved the official “Fatah” poster, which shows all of Israel as “Palestine” and includes a rifle and an oversized picture of Yasser Arafat. Abbas is also a “Holocaust denier,” who has wrote his PhD thesis and a book on the topic. He glorifies suicide bombers and recently, praised Hamas. “It is astonishing that the Israeli and American media ignore all this … believing that if you give him a state, maybe things will be okay, maybe he’ll revert to being totally decent. The Israeli government tries the peaceful route because of pressure from Europe and America, but fails to appreciate that Congress would support them if they refused to negotiate with the Palestinians. As to the “Palestinian” demography : http://xrl.us/bewfbt
11. Our “partner in peace.”
Ron B. ,   Lod   (08.04.09)
Mahmoud Abbas - Israel's partner in peace talks and the head of Fatah and the Palestinian Authority - enjoys a reputation as a "moderate," largely in light of his juxtaposition with the arch-terrorists of his rivals/allies in Hamas. However, he now says that terrorism and violence against Israel are actually the preferred approach, and certainly need not be ruled out in the future. Abbas told the Jordanian newspaper A-Doustour, "I am against an armed struggle against Israel because we can't do it, but in the coming stages, things may change. I do not rule out a return to the way of armed struggle against Israel," Abbas said. Lets face reality : Their goal is Israel’s destruction and that is why nothing has worked and nothing will work as to the roots of “Palestinian” nationalism it is explained at : http://xrl.us/berwte
12. Once Palestine is Free, Peace & Prosperity for all
Palestinian ,   Jerusalem, Palestine   (08.04.09)
13. Dichter joins the Right
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (08.04.09)
The Right wing (people like Nadia Matar and Moshe Feiglin) warned that the ethnic cleansing of Gush Katif and Samaria will bring another war, but Dichter was one of the people who mocked them. Now, four years too late he realizes they were correct. And people, it won't be easy. The next intifada will be spearheaded by the well-armed and highly-trained "Dayton army". It will be bloody.
14. Did the second one end then?
S.   (08.04.09)
There is no evidence that Arabs ended the second intifada. Basically a third one can only start when the second one has ended.
15. @1 Why can a Jew not visit the Temple Mount?
S.   (08.04.09)
16. @12 are you aiming for Jordan as well?

Nour ,   Palestine   (08.04.09)
Annex the West Bank you say? Be our guests, of course you will hand us Israeli passports and full voting rights. It's just incredible how you think you can make dictates when it is Israel that is clearly losing, both strategically and demographically. While you chew on that, remember armed resistance is the right of every occupied and oppressed people in the world. Fatah is putting its act together and saying ENOUGH to the Oslo charade of clowns that led us nowhere. There's no way in the seven skies that we Palestinians will surrender any of our rights including self determination and dignity. If armed resistance managed to kick you out of Gaza, there's no reason why the same can't be done in the West Bank until you give up your illegal settlements and show us your backs. Again I agree with you that ALL of this could be avoided by acknowledging that our national rights are integral to this land and hence a one state solution is the most realistic in the long run. Now watch Sarah and her buddies start shouting "Transfer Arabs to Jordan". Pathetic bunch they are. As if we didn't learn our lessons from 48 and 67? LOL.
18. 3rd intifada
yousef shamari ,   hebron ,palestine   (08.04.09)

19. #1 Abdel - I hope together we get peace
David ,   Shilo Israel   (08.04.09)
Abdel, I am vilfied as a 'crazed' settler due to my love of the land of Israel. This love partially rests on my intimate knowledge of our Biblical & historic connection to every part of out homeland, including what is called the west bank, and where Joshua bin Nun set up the first capital for the children of Israel. Having identified myself in this manner, I would also like to reveal another part of my make-up. Many of us actually work in some capacity with our Arab cousins. I have come to understand first hand some of the genuine problems concerning basic human rights, often caused by an understandable need to optimise our security concerns in wake of the violent activities you described, but still causing conditions of hardship upon those Arabs that prefer peaceful coexistense. There are hopefully many other sane Jews & Arabs that can live with a modified version of the status quo, one that can deliver better economic & human related conditions for all our benefit. Take this as more genuine coming from a self-confessed upright right wing Jew that actually lives with Jews & Arabs as neighbors alongside each other. The point is that a real peace based upon mutual understanding & respect, without a PA leadership preaching violence, or a 2 state solution that propels terrorists to power, is a real alternative. I for one have empathy for your situation and wish you well, Shalom!
20. 3rd Intifada = The Mother Of All Naqbas
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.04.09)

24. 3rd intifada - let it start... it would allow the
Erastus CoupeDeVille ,   Ong's Hat, NJ USA   (08.04.09)
UN/NATO to intervene and displace the Israeli military from the disputed territories... and maybe, just maybe, some borders may finally be defined!
25. UN ? What is it ?!?
Daniel ,   Paris, France   (08.04.09)
Let me doubt about the United Nations when they are kicked out by hezbollah sympathisers in Southern Lebanon. This is ludicrous
26. #17 re 3rd Intifada
amos ,   jerusalem, israel   (03.24.11)
Your national rights are integral to your lands of Syria, Egypt and south Russia. Surely you don't believe your own rhetoric?
