1. The armed struggle..
judyinjerusalem ,   jerusalem   (08.04.09)
Look what veteran Fatah watcher Pinhas Inbari has to say: http://www.jcpa.org/JCPA/Templates/ShowPage.asp?DRIT=1&DBID=1&LNGID=1&TMID=111&FID=442&PID=0&IID=3062&TTL=Will_Fatah_Give_Up_the_Armed_Struggle_at_Its_Sixth_General_Congress?

3. bethlehem gathering
alexander tel-aviv   (08.04.09)
On Al-Jazeera yesterday they showed a hotel lobby with a poster of Nasrallah there, and flags of PLO with Kalashnikov guns. Oh, these are moderates? What do the extremists and radicals look like? Edelstein is right, correct.
4. abbas's demands
alexi   (08.04.09)
Olmert offered you the moon to persuade mazuz or at least the dror thiniking court not to convict him and to please his wife' s uvneri demands. Bibi and the boys offer you no such demands. Start looking for homes in jordan because that's where you are headed. If you cause any trouble, I mean any trouble, you go back to Tunisia or the mediterranian. No to E. Jerusalem, no to jordan valley and parts of west bank, no to land corridor across israel, and settlements will be part of israel in return for nothing as compensation for arab wars against israel. Right of return does not exist. Keep yapping and you and bradford education and big bs artist erekat will be gone. You don't have our coward and appeaser olmert to do your bidding.
5. Bravo Edelstein!
Ram ,   London   (08.04.09)
One wonders what games the Israeli government plays by blinkering itself when it comes to the PA. Are they deaf and blind? Are they so weak as to allow themselves to lead their people into mortal danger? Have they no choice but to succumb to the pressure exerted on the by the US the EU and their own Left? Or maybe they have a plan that is so clever as to defy logic?
6. To the left - don't be 'left' out of Israel
David ,   Shilo Israel   (08.04.09)
I think it's important to pursue a meaningful peace whenever possible. I'm also convinced that there are many sincere Arabs residing in Israel that prefer to develop the status quo towards bettering their lives here. I never for a moment felt that the so called peace initiatives from the political wing of the PA was anything other than a side show, whilst aiming to conquer all of Israel, TA included! It's time to get real. Settlers were not the problem when they were leftist kibbuzniks in the 1940's & 60's before later settlements appeared after the 6 day war. There is an unchanged agenda to de-Judify Israel. Don't be part of the problem, only by working together can we succeed. It's time to be strong & united before the world. To sincere paece seekers on the left, there are also sincere peace seekers on the right too. Sacrificing our homes will no more work to achieve peace than your own presence elsewhere in Israel...and you truly know it!
7. you should not listen to what we say in arabic
rashid ,   palistinian   (08.04.09)
i know you understand arabic believe me but in english we say that we want peace and that we are nice people and that we just want money and pease and that we love israil etc then you will love us like the rest of the world loves us however if you listen to what we say in arabic then you will find our true intentions and that is no good for us so please israil listen to us in english and when we wear italian suits like what i wear now ahmad jeebu el hmar yalla
8. Eldes-who??? Shut that idiot up...
Wael ,   Ramallah   (08.04.09)
Riadh will soon press Washington for regime change in Israel. It's already happening, under the cover of Lieberman police charges, etc. The deck of cards is gonna crash now.
9. A true face of the Terrorists
AlbertoGA ,   St. George   (08.04.09)
Now it is clear that there is only one group of Palestinians ...Terrorist groups the Hamas or Fatah all the same bunch. Move them all out of Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea and Samaria. And then only Peace will be on the land of Israel. All the rest is just a lot of BS
10. Liberty
cfs ,   fr and dz   (08.04.09)
Israel Palestine (Jerusalem east, Gaza, West bank). Peace.
11. One man's "armed struggle"
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (08.04.09)
is another man's sedition. Launching a third intifada would be a spectacularly bad idea on the part of the Palestinians, because they will be very surely and very swiftly crushed. And then they will be made to leave the Jewish homeland. They don't belong there, anyway. Hey -- that would be a good thing.
12. FATAH = TERRORISTS WITH SUITS!
EXPEL ARABS FROM ,   ISRAEL!!!!!   (08.04.09)
13. TO ISRAELI LEFT = HERE IS FATAHS ANSWER TO PEACE.
THE LEFT ARE ,   THE ENEMY   (08.04.09)
THEY SPIT ON YOU AND YOU CALL IT RAINֱ ISRAELI LEFT = PATHETIC PSYCHOPATHS.
14. Maybe the political establishment will
MICHAEL   (08.04.09)
finally stop chasing the mirage of peace. And focus on problems that have real potential solutions like poverty and increasing educational levels, privatilization and moving the economy forward. The more time the government wastes with these fraudsters the more pain is being compounded on the poor and underprivliged in Israel.
15. to #8 more likely that obama will be fires
ghostq   (08.04.09)
he mess up in so many departments, it's only a matter of time when we will hear you r fired obama. lol nobama didn't even succeed in solving the police officer and the african American proffesor issue.
16. #8 is emblematic of the problem
Yaron ,   USA   (08.04.09)
If the Arabs would stop waiting for some blud-lust filled fantasy to come true and actually worked at peaceful coeexistence they would find the highest standard of living in the ME for Arabs. But of course as we all know already, there is no pragmatism or level-headed thinking as the Pals continue to support their own demise. It will be great when Hamas rules 100% of territory under Pal control because then we can "get it on" and be done with the cesspool of a project called the PA and Palestine.
17. Continued Pharisee Misinformation
Moderate Jew ,   New Jersey, USA   (08.04.09)
18. RIGHT ON EDELSTEIN. RIGHT ON....I love logic and pragmatism,
jae ,   Yerushaliyim   (08.04.09)
sure beats the violent setups of the left creating violence in Judea and smaria
19. #7 Rashid
David ,   USA, exile   (08.04.09)
Please send latest information brochure on "How to hear and misunderstand. Please include the glossy pictures of assad kissing Israeli babies, leaving only slight teeth marks on the neck. Also, where can I sign up for your new love a Jew to death movement?
20. Know thy enemy, but respect thy enemy
GHook93 ,   Chicago   (08.04.09)
As long as there is a conflict, no one can expect the Palestinians to reject arm struggle. I mean most honest people don't call for Israel to reject counter attacks against Palestinians! There are radicals on both sides. These people look better for the headlines, not the peaceful people in suits. Either way, you don't have to like their resentment, but you can still understand it! They have legitimate resentment, just as We (Jews) had legit resentment to the Romans ruling over us!
21. If this is not a declaration of war, what such a declaration
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.04.09)
is? They refuse to recognize Israel's right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people - based incidentally on UNGA Resolution 181!!! - while at the same time calling for an armed struggle, i.e. war-of-attrition-through-terror, against it. Also not missed, the call by an Arab member of Knesset, Ahmed Tibi, to cleansed any future Palestinian State of all Jews; certainly an expression of racism, anti-Jewish racism at that. Need one say more about this gathering of so-called moderates among the Palestinian Arabs...??
22. #19, i see the satire skipped right past you...
Danny   (08.04.09)
23. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (08.04.09)
Mmmm. You guys have been saying that for sixty-one years now! Keep dreaming your foolish and deluded dreams. The Saudis? The Saudis have no salt in the United States. They are another fine example of a regime teetering on the brink. Oh .... and ..... Don't think Americans have forgotten where 17 of the September 11 hijackers came from. We haven't. Saudi? You are a nut case, Wael, plain and simple, if you think that Saudi Arabia has anything to say about American foreign policy. Not even with the current administration.
24. #20, personally i have no issue with "armed resistence"
Danny   (08.05.09)
I have trouble with the non-stop whining and "we are like the jews under the Nazis" lies we have to listen to when Israel hits back. They dont want to die then don't "resist"
