1. Look,evrybody deserves to be protected from harm, but when
Maurie ,   Israel   (08.04.09)
people choose this lifestyle, they must know ahead of time that not all of society will ever embrace them. Just like familes will never embrace, or keep inviting to family functions someone who is a known rapist in their midst. Why? Because there is a knowing in their heart that a rapist is a bad thing, no matter how much that family memember wants to be accepted for what he does or no matter how he chooses to live his life. This will always be a touchy subject with people all over the world. If one chooses to live this lifestyle, then they must also be aware of the giant bulls-eye they wear on their backs, and they must prepre that not everyone will embrace them and invite them over to tea. When a gangster, terrorists, child mosester, crooked politician, etc... comes to harm, deep down inside we are happy about it. We might even say to ourselves that they deserved it. So let's not kid ourselves(nor should gays), about how they are perceived or how they are treated by society. It's very sad, but that's just the way it is.
2. To be gay is a lifestyle?
Andy ,   Dortmund/Germany   (08.04.09)
It is a sexual orientation, given by nature and not by individual choice. You know why so many gay teenagers commit suicide? because hiding their nature causes depressions. A society which loves it childrens should take care of them.
3. Nothing personal. The police ignore EVERYBODY.
5th generation ,   Israel   (08.04.09)
4. I'm sorry.....were you saying something?

snooze zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
5. #1: Maurie, you are sick. Get help quick.
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (08.05.09)
And get an education. Or just stay quiet.
6. I see seeds of violence sprinkled all over here...
Ypip ,   Canada   (08.05.09)
Its not a conspiracy theory. Where do they learn that it's okay to think that way?"
7. Well?
Ypip ,   Canada   (08.05.09)
8. #5 I said something that was uneducated? Most of us say in
Maurie ,   Israel   (08.05.09)
the back of our minds "So, they're gay, who cares". Does this make it right, of course not. But a bulls-eye is a bulls-eye, and most will not help gays who have been beaten up by non-gays. That doesn't make it right, that's just the way it is. Just like most will not come to the aid of palestinians who have been beaten by Israelis. It doesn't make it right, but that's just the way it is. Was it right to whip black slaves and deprive them of an education once they were emancipated? Of course not, that's just the way it is.
9. #3 - ha, so true. #1 - being gay...
Avinoam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.05.09)
whether a lifestyle or a genetic precondition is recognised in all civilised societies as legitimate. You could compare anyone to a rapist and try to make the same argument. It has no bearing on reality since homosexuals (as a group) do not harm anyone, whereas rapists do. I wonder how rape victims feel when you compare their tragedy with being in the presence of someone attracted to their own gender. It's simply monstrous.
10. #9 I was using a vile predatorial act to compare how people
Maurie ,   Israel   (08.05.09)
will put up a barrier to someone who they feel is commiting a wrong in their midst. It doesn't make it right, that's just the way it is. Gays want to be accepted by all. Not all will view gays as being normal. They will do their best to give them the least amount of help and support in accepting them just as one would do a rapist, terrorist, murderor, etc.. People feel uncomfortable and sometimes put off by their presence. As I have said before, It's not right, and it is very sad. I'm not saying that I am against gays, I'm just saying in the real world of things, that's just the way it is. The whole point here is that gays will not always be accepted by society as they want to be. Most of the time they will be kept at arms length is most social affairs, including their own protection. That's just the way it is.
