4. We won't dance to Lieberman's tune
Elyah ,   los Angeles   (08.12.09)
Fatah had their chance with olmert and couldn't make a deal. if they don't want to dance to either netanyahu or lieberman's tune than they'll have to be patient and dance with the next government. Israel should continue to build!
5. nop they don't think as nation, they only
ghostq   (08.12.09)
think how to get the jews and Chritians away from them, but as far as being independence they r light years ecinimicaly they build the new country on Jordan economy already they got phone services from Jordan and also the personal responsibility that comes along with being indipendence well it doesn't exist, if they think that it is Israel that comes in their way than they r in more troble than anyone can imagin, the only ministers that were elected were ex-bomb planner but it takes more than that to get a nation on it's feet. I have the strong feeling they will kill each other for legacy, the one who founded his country haterd to the other is doomed to fall by his own hands.
6. The Arabs are not motivated by positive national aspirations
Ron B. ,   Lod   (08.12.09)
For the Jews, the main point was to establish a sovereign Jewish state. For the Arabs, the main point was, always, to completely oppose any form of Jewish sovereignty in any part of Palestine. The Arabs are not motivated by positive national aspirations. They have no desire to return to a "homeland" and to realize their imaginary "Palestinian" nationality. They simply want to make sure that the Jews are not in Israel. It is not despair caused by loss of what is theirs that motivates them; it is the hope to destroy what belongs to the Jews. The nurturing of this hope is the factor that gave birth to Arab nationalism. More at : http://xrl.us/be2ig9
7. I agree end the occupation
Yosef ,   Israel   (08.12.09)
End the occupation of Palestinian Muslim Arabs of land of Israel.
8. "Occupation" is a buzz word Pals use to get pity from West
Sam ,   Canada   (08.12.09)
The term "occupation" like " 2 state solution" is just a propaganda concept Palestinians use to get pity from a gullible West. "Occupation" is meant to hint to the West as just being the West Bank when in fact Palestinians mean all of Israel. Were Palestinians to be clear about not meaning to change Israel's Jewish majority, they might have sympathy from more than just naive Jews. As is, they are just not believable to most Jews who by consequence care little if Israel builds in the West Bank or not.
9. in you dreams, Tirawi would refer to Israel as Jerusalem

10. 'Course you will
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (08.12.09)
You're a freakin' marionette. Israel says "jump," you say "how high?" You haven't got a life, and you haven't got a future. You are, after all, Palestinian, and the truth is not your forte.
11. Knowledge For The Ignorant
Robert Blum ,   Los Angeles, USA   (08.12.09)
"The term 'settler carries connotations of being transplanted from the outside and of being only a temporary presence. I prefer the term 'revenant,' which means one who has returned to his land. Second, 'occupied Palestinian land' is about as loaded a term as there is in this conflict. Suffice it to say that the world was silent between 1948 and 1967 when Egypt occupied Gaza and Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria. No one ever referred to 'Palestinians' in those years. As I explained in one of the first posts I ever did that was widely linked, there is no such thing as a 'Palestinian.' Arabs only came to the Land of Israel in large numbers after the Jews returned in the 20th century and started to rebuild the nation, thereby creating economic and employment opportunities for Arab immigrants. Prior to 1870, when Jews started to return to the Holy Land in large numbers, there were fewer than 100,000 Arabs living in what is today the State of Israel - including Yesha (the Hebrew acronym for Judea, Samaria and the Gaza District). This small number of nomadic, tribal Arabs who lived in the Holy Land before the modern Jewish return never considered themselves to be a separate people or nation. The Arabs who lived in the Land of Israel were not "Palestinians" but Arabs - part of a huge Arab people with 22 very large independent nations that control one-ninth of the land mass on the planet Earth. In an interview given by Zuhair Mohsen to the Dutch newspaper Trouw in March 1977, Mr. Mohsen explains the origin of the 'Palestinians': The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan. If there is no such thing as a 'Palestinian,' there cannot be 'Palestinian land' and certianly not 'occupied Palestinian land."
12. blah, blah, blah
ziggy zion ,   west bank   (08.12.09)
the never ending speechs lecturing Israel on what it needs to do for peace is just worthless dribble. when the palestinians realize that their freedom depends on their actions and not Israel's they will be far better off. And for their great democratic convention, well those fools elected a murderer who sits in an israeli jail for being a terrorist to their national leadership council. And they call that injecting new blood into their leadership ... yes, the blood of victems.
13. Same pack of dogs.
Ilan ,   Ariel   (08.12.09)
Bit more rabid and with a worse smell, but nothing to rave about.
