Oy vay. Fatah has been suppressing democratic impulses, peace movements and independent movements since it was FOUNDED. Palestinians who dare to reach out to Israel have been threatened or killed as "collaborators." And he has the gall to pretend that Fatah was EVER conceived as a democratic organizatiion? Fatah was conceived as a terror group and a group to serve Arafat's interests. Qureia has always been the whiniest twit in Fatah's upper ranks. What else is new?
2. Corruption tainted Fatah is worried about vote corruption?

Good grief, next thing you know some disgruntled Fatah old-timer will call for a Palestinian human rights board to be formed. Ok, that's a little too much of an exaggeration. But hearing a former senior leader of a corrupt organization complain about corruption now is just too much tears from an aging crocodile. Fatah is still its own worst enemy. Everybody is writing that Fatah is on a "new path" with "young blood" yadda yadda yadda. I don't see any difference. There's nobody in Fatah outside of Salam Fayad who believes that process and procedure are important. Fatah's quest for law and order involve it being the law and setting the order, rather than Hamas. Anybody remember the Palestinian constitution that was supposed to be ready over 10 years ago? It's lost in history, just like Fatah.
