1. Peres and his Disney World
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.13.09)
He should go there and create his fantasy world while the IDF deals with reality
2. Says he who bombed the bejezus out of Lebanon
(08.14.09)
In the final hours of the cease fire Israel dropped millions of cluster bombs on defenseless civilians. Without Hamas Lebanon would be still be occupied by Israel. Hamas chased Israel out of most but not all of Lebanon.
3. Are you kidding me???
Sam   (08.14.09)
"We do not seek a grain of its land, or a drop of its waters"?? Mr Peres, while you stand and talk BS, israel is and has been doing that for the last 60 years.. And this bloke has the nerve to talk about LOGIC!! Someone ask this man if he can spell logic before he starts lecturing us about it!!
4. Original Lebanies must take an action.
Daniel ,   Israel   (08.14.09)
Throw Hisbulla and Palestinians out and get rid of the roots of all your problems. Outside powers may help you. Only collage degrees will not help you if you want to be a part of Middle-East, show your might too. Iran and Syria are not yet big enough powers to support Hisbullah all the way threw. One point both those will withdraw.
5. SO CORRUPT ARABS CAN STORE LOOT THERE ?
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (08.14.09)
6. Another lebanon - in Peres' Israel
eddie ,   london UK   (08.14.09)
If Peres has his way to implement his crazy dreams, he will creat a lebanon within Israel - or Israbia. While he ran labour, he created the Oslo disaster, which has killed thousands of Israelis. Then his protoge created the camp david disaster and its intifada. Then he joined the Kadima, the party of the Gaza disaster, which he now regrets. Next on his agenda is the west bank hamas state with a corridor to Gaza.
7. peres,"who needs it"?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.14.09)
Let our neighbors to the north drop dead. Better we should become the switzerland of the middle east and hide dope money and stolen nazi nazi loot.
8. A lot of Lebanese view Israel and Hizbollah alike
Lebanese American ,   San Francisco, CA   (08.14.09)
As many articles in Israel say, war rhetoric in Israel reinforces claims by Hizbollah of its need to keep weapons. Best is to ignore each other for a few years. Hizbollahis will start getting more jobs in a prosperous Lebanon and forget about war. At the end of the day, the fighters are of the people of the South and will stop going to war when there's too much at stake: development, economic success, schooling, etc. If Israel invested in the reconstruction of Lebanon, it would cost it much less than preparing for another round of a senseless war that will create pain, death and destruction
9. No! Peres, only then...
observer   (08.14.09)
when Lebanon is destroyed, Hezbullah will be too strong to be defeated as there will be no enough Lebanese civilians to kill.
10. truth speaks; 1200 mostly civilians,150 mostly soldiers
observer   (08.14.09)
11. Lebanon is riddled with propaganda
Zion   (08.14.09)
if you stop supporting terrorist groups, you'll still think Israel is a "barbaric" nation that wants to "conquer" the Arab countries. Hezbollah has destroyed Lebanon because the Lebanese accepted it.
12. #10 Truth: 1400 people died because of Hezbollah
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.14.09)
In addition, thousands of people were injured and left homeless or displaced. Immediately following the kidnap and murder of Israeli soldiers patrolling on Israel's side of the border, Hezbollah launched 4000missiles loaded with ball bearing for maximum injury at Israeli civilian populations. A third of the Israeli fatalities were civilian men, women and children. Observer, all these people would be alive today if Hezbollah had not attacked Israel.
13. #12 or if Israel had given up its expansionism policy
(08.14.09)
14. #13 Try again observer
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.14.09)
The proxies of Iran were pursuing Iranian expansion at Lebanon's expense. Did they achieve their goal by turning Lebanon into a graveyard? What was their goal?
15. no 2
mark ,   serbia   (08.14.09)
Think you have got the wrong lot,you mean hizzbulah, and remember who started the conflict, rockets fired and then hizzbulah crossed the border killing soldiers and kiddnapping and murdering them.
16. in your dreams

how dare he even mention Switzerland in the same breath?-

hertzel ,   tiberias   (08.14.09)
These were the "civilians" that the Hizziz hid behind, just in case you are too stupid to realize that...
18. to N#4
Micheal ,   Lebanon   (08.15.09)
I am Christian, i am not with huzballah dominating lebanon, but there is something called logic. Whether you like it or not , Huzballah people are lebanese, so of course i should not throw huzballah and accept the israelies, so as lebanese better to throw israel from the middle east, so we as lebanese can relax
19. #18 Micheal's logic?
Lisa   (08.15.09)
Hizballah- all Lebanese? really? Except the ones from Iran, Syria? etc. etc.... Logic works this way: you accept whoever can give you peace, a decent way of living. Of course if you prefer terror, murder, threats etc... then Huzballah is your choice. Don't complain next time you get bombed----you asked for it, LOL
20. 15 It was Hezbollah that bombed defenseles civilians
lydia ,   Brisbane   (08.16.09)
It wasn't Hezbollah who dropped millions of cluster bombs literally hours before ceasefire, because they were afraid of Hezbollah following them home. It wasn't Hezbollah that bombed roads, bridges power station polluting waterways etc. The soldiers were on Lebanese territory and Israel still occupies Shebba Farms/Golan heights giving Hezbollah cause celebre for another conflict.
21. 12.14 "He made me do it" excuse left behind in the nursery
lydia ,   Brisbane   (08.16.09)
No amount of 'out damn spot' can erase Israels culpability in the mass murder of the Muslims to steal their land. Israel is left defending its very survival against a rag tag army of insurgents who has put an end to Israels ambitious expansion across their land.
