31. al-Qaeda vs Hamas
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (08.16.09)
A win-win for Israel. Let the games begin.
32. To 27 - "Fishes"
Andrew M ,   Leeds, UK   (08.16.09)
You're right, but Italian Mafia (not famous for their command of English) do commonly refer to "sleeping with the fishes" so I wouldn't worry about it. On topic, you just know the lefties will find a way to blame Israel for this. Pity, because we could really enjoy watching these nut jobs otherwise.
33. This points to Israel not being their real problem
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (08.16.09)
34. to #32 you r right, lefties r realy bored nuts.
ghostq   (08.16.09)
(or bananas)make trobles but not contribute to society unless it fits their radical left agenda. lol it was funny to watch them protest against protest arrests in the west bank. looking for reason I can give them reason to protest I heard Madona is coming to Israel, it's enough to protest dont you think.
35. "The group warned residents to stay way..."
William ,   Israel   (08.16.09)
While Hamas leaders on loudspeakers called for residents to quickly gather around government buildings and the homes of leaders to protect them.
36. World should push to limit weapons in Gaza
William ,   Israel   (08.16.09)
Now is a great time to push the world to limit the weapons flow into Gaza. No one cared when innocent Jews were the target but now that Pals are at each others' throats, the world will feel a certain need to help them. The good point will be that they won't have much weapons to choose from, they'll be scrambling to stay alive and be in chaos, it will be long and drawn out...and in the end, all weapons would have been used so the IDF can just walk in and clean up the mess by pushing Islamists into the sea.
37. #12 - I respectfully disagree
William ,   Israel   (08.16.09)
This is good for Israel and here is why: 1) No radical group in Gaza will allow Hamas to exist unless they are as radical or more. Hamas refuses to be which means perpetual war, despite their goal to wipe Israel off the map. 2) War crimes that involve civilians are ignored when Israel points them out. And with Israel involved, the world suddenly becomes blind. This underscores Israel's claims of abuse by Islamists of civilians. Every day is another docket of pages of proof for the future tribunal. 3) Hamas will be too busy holding on to power to even try to negotiate with Israel. It's futile to speak of peace when their rule is at risk. If by chance a qassam does make it over the border to turn the attention from Hamas, a quick IAF response on a Hamas leader will help them quickly re-focus. This isn't just my wish list, this is 10 years of precedent with Hamas. Arab thinking is quite myopic though convoluted.
38. #23 - 2-State solution not to help Palestinians
William ,   Israel   (08.16.09)
but to ease the conscioous of the Western world who hate dealing with open issues and problems that need a long-term complex solution. No one in the Western world has gone back beyond 1967 to understand the issue in the region. Once a 2-State solution is created, the West will walk away, pat themselves on the back, and get a good night's sleep - while the ME broils in fire. The UK did this many times which is why we see what we see today.
39. #25 - Yariv is busy applauding Fatah for their peace overtur
William ,   Israel   (08.16.09)
Peace Now is ignoring the mess in Gaza to applaud Fatah for mentioning they want all of Jews dead and Israel destroyed, but not actually doing yet....i.e. peace overtures. I think Yariv should be forced into Gaza to see life their himself, with the white flag of peace.
40. Supply Arms
BRL ,   USA   (08.17.09)
I think Israel should supply arms to both sides and just sit back and watch.
41.  re:38. #23 - 2-State solution not to help Palestinians
galut   (08.17.09)
as I said 2 state solution = "FOOLS ERRAND" that does not mean that peace can't be found ...it means the foudations of Hate and Bitterness must disappear before a eternal lasting peace can be found.... and then 2 states won't be necessary...
42. Conversion is a no-go, #28
Cameron ,   USA   (08.17.09)
Wine, women, & intellect simply weigh too heavy on the scales of attraction, Doc. Murderous feudalism is poor fare for sustenance in these digital times.
