All Iran has to do is engineer a fake strike on it's facilities.

Mubarak, I would be careful, muslim brotherhood is going to overthrow your regime one day. If anyone has facebook account I urge you to join the anti-Israeli J Street non-profit and post as many comments as you can about the right of the Jewish people to all of the land of Israel; the right to Jerusalem; tell them that two state solution is an illusion. We need to do this because they are fooling the public and the Jewish people. Here is the link to the site: http://www.facebook.com/jstreetdotorg

...brutal 30-year record of dictatorship and crushing of dissent, lectures the international community on how to deal with a pseudo-democracy and a people determined to acquire and develop nuclear technology for their own benefit and long term industrialization. One word: Chutzpah! Mubarak, better focus on bringing Egypt into the 21st century! And stop eating fool and falafel it is clearly obvious your pea brain is beginning to suffer.
6. IDIOT !!!.
Orao Stranka. ,   Tsarigrad u Srbia.   (08.17.09)
Mubarak to US Jews: Attack on Iran risky During first visit to Washington in five years, Egyptian president tells Jewish leaders best way to deal with Tehran is to 'wait and see how leadership rift unfolds,' A RIFT BETWEEN THE WOLFES, AND A POWERSTRUGGLE BETWEEN THEM, WILL PRODUCE A WOLF LEADER IN EVERT CASE. According to the Egyptian president, the question of where the Palestinian prisoners will settle upon their release remains one of the main obstacles holding up the deal. Hamas wants them to be sent to the West Bank, while Israel is insisting that they settle in Hamas-ruled Gaza. TO HAMAS RULED GAZA, IS A MUST !!!. ABSOLUTELY !!!. Orao.
7. WOULD HE MINDAN ATTACK ON EGYPT THEN?

8. Not attacking Iran is risky
Doron ,   Israel   (08.17.09)
I am concerned about the safety of the pilots carrying out the attack on nuclear plants. Other than that, Iran's only response will be to just order Hamas and Hizballah to strike us again, which is an opportunity for us to finish them off or weaken them even more. Contrary to the beliefs of Ehud Barak, Hizballah will not fade away or self-die. It needs to be destroyed with fierce and unrelenting force.
9. Honest
Israe   (08.17.09)
Of all leaders involved, he is probably being the most honest here. He too does not want to see a nuclear Iran, and is quite involved in talks for the release of Gilad Shalit. Finally someone with power is talking openly and honestly.
10. Mubarak is wrong
Brod ,   USA   (08.17.09)
The opposite is true. The strike will help the freedom loving people to oust the tyrannical fanatical Ayatollahs. It would be foolhardy to take the opinion of an Arab Islamist like Mubarak on this matter. Afterall his country is not on the receiving of the Ayatollahs' nuke.
11. Iran Strike Suicidal
Ziggy ,   Sydney NSW Australia   (08.18.09)
I don't understand why there is even any talk in Israel on an attack on iran. Do the Israelis really think that Iran will just be like Syria and not retaliate? Iran has a population of 70 million people who would take up arms against Israel that has a population of 7 million, half of whom are non-Jews and could side with their Iranian Muslim brothers. An attack by Israel on Iran would be suicidal and probably not even the Americans would be able to save Israel from the sheer number of Muslims from neighbouring countries that would attack, even merely by walking en-masse over the Israeli borders and overwhelming the Israelis by sheer weight of numbers.
12. WAR NEEDED
Arash ,   Tehran-Iran   (08.18.09)
We most welcome any sort of military attack. It would be in our vital interests. Please do it and do it soon. You have no idea how lucrative this would be for us.
13. Wait and see....
Steve from Raleigh   (08.18.09)
Just wait. Egypt will implode in a civil war soon. Then Obama can sternly lecture the Israelis how they are the problem.
14. Mubarak and settlement
Brod ,   USA   (08.18.09)
This is typical of the Arab tactic to fool Israel and the world. They call it Taqiyyah-their tool of Deception. Israel and America should tell the Arab states to go to Hell with their crap. Israel and America are NOT fools! Why should tiny Israel give away anymore piece of their Liberated Land of Israel? The 'peace' crap of the Arab states is as good as good as their toilet paper. Their latent agenda is imprinted in the Charter of Hamastan and Fatahan that calls for the destruction of Israel. They have used trickery, deceptions, manipulations, terrorism and wars since they emerged from the Arabian Desert in the 7th century. What makes these dark forces think that they could ravage and subdue Christian, Jewish and other nation's lands, but the historic people of these countries could not liberate their lands from their occupation? It is time the West wakes up and supports Israel in defending the Land of Israel from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers, marauders, usurpers and squatters.

Doron ,   Israel   (08.18.09)
First off, 70% of Israelis are Jews and secondly, we would not be attacked from within for attacking Iran. Secondly, there is no way Iran would EVER launch an attack against Israel from Iran. The only thing they will do is what they've done in the past, order Hamas and Hizballah to strike us. Suicide? I think not. Take a chill pill!

nour, don't you understand that if it wasn't for this mubarak repressive regime, a worse one like muslim brotherhood that insists on backwards sharia will eventually take over??? i hope you don't support the muslim brotherhood because i can guarantee you that they will be the ones to rule over egypt's population if mubarak is not in power. which is the lesser evil? mubarak or the brotherhood. do you really believe that under the brotherhood, the egyptian people will prosper and have a democracy with a great economy? you are dellusional. hating mubarak for being a despot is all nice and great. however. the otions available to the egyptians are much much worse than mubarak. look at the mullocracy in iran. this is the rule that the brotherhood will establish in egypt, like it or not. hameed aboughaze, iranian

i beg to differ. egypt is exactly on the receiving line of the iranian nuke. do you realize how close egypt is to israel???? as a matter of geography, all arab suni countries will be on the receiving line of the iranian nuke because once this nuke is released, the fallout will condemn the entire area of suni regimes in the middle east. hameed aboughaze, iranian

you must first realize that the arabs don't want the fanatical persian mullahs to succedd. they are not arabs. arabs feel threatend by the persian aim of domintion of the middle east. Israel is the lesser of two evils. Israel is not an agressor. Iran wishes to dominate the middle east and prove that they are the dominate shiite islamic power.

Soeren ,   Cologne/Germany   (08.18.09)
While an attack might have consequences (perhaps even serious ones) – I guess you miss the point when you think that the Arabs all in all would move a finger for Iran (except Hisbollah, of course, which is Iran's paid house servant). At least the most Arab regimes HATE Iran and fear the Persians striving for dominance (sunni-shia-divide) and some (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Dubai and Kuweit) are more or less silently cooperating with Israel – specially when it comes to containing the mad Mullahs... And even Syria wouldn't dare to wage war against Israel (they have their groups outside Syria who do the dirty work for them)...
20. Mubarak and the wait an see additude
publius ,   USofA   (08.18.09)
the only missing element of Mubarak's remarks is the rejoinder... that if this position is to be supported, that is to strike a wait and see additude based on the internal dispute in Iran for holding up Nuclear Negotiations is to demand an open and honest referendum by Iranians... Do you trust your Mullahs with the nuclear technology and see how that influences the internal iranian political dispute.

Dictator and the Supreme Villain of Iran on their "victory" in the elections. It takes one Dictator to recognize the other. No wonder that Mabruk defends the Dictator class

25. Time has come for action.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (08.18.09)
Iranian nuclearization remains an existential threat to Israel, it also remains authentically genocidal in the legal sense. It follows that Israel’s reliance upon its own nuclear strategy and nuclear deterrent will now necessarily expand. Israel shall soon have to make a long-postponed decision on preemption (anticipatory self-defense) against Iranian hard targets. If this decision should continue to be postponed, Israel will likely lose the chance to defend itself conventionally. More concerning the dangers of a nuclear Iran at : http://xrl.us/h8ydt

People who want a war might get more than what they bargained for. With America weakened by 3 wars, North Korea could just come in and attack us.
