1. WILL PM/GOVERNMENT FALL ???.
Orao Stranka. ,   Tsarigrad u Srbia.   (08.18.09)
Isaiah 54 1"Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear! Break forth into singing and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife," saith the LORD. 2Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations; spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes. FURTHER - Settlers say 'old Bibi' is back Agreement reached between PM, defense and housing ministers to freeze building starts in settlements blocs and east Jerusalem until early 2010 enrages settler leaders.- 'If Netanyahu implements Livni's policy – government's days are numbered,' Ariel mayor warns I THINK SO !!!. Orao.
2. Good Progress, but not enough, sanctions should be imposed
Nour ,   Palestine   (08.18.09)
3. Look at what became of Gaza
Ypip ,   Canada   (08.18.09)
before pussy-footing around with wait-and-see games.
4. bibi = olmert!!!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.18.09)
Two cowards out to please foreign governments. Ones that are not our friends! The jihadist in the Oval office is out to destroy Israel. The way he learned in the madrass in indonesia. The staff of the White House is filled with vicious anti Zionists like the draft dodger emmanuel. bibi is a real coward. There is nothing to be gained with taking orders from b.o. and hitlery clinton. A real p.m. would have destroyed every illegal pali building in all our territories. And expel the illegal arab trespassers. This will hopefully be the end of bibi and also end of the labor and kadima parties. bibi will be replaced by someone with guts to stand up to the world. We need leaders with guts and not lapdogs for the world.
5. freeze
colin   (08.18.09)
ELECTIONS NOW !!!!!!! Get rid of Bibi for agreeing to devide Jerusalem .The islamic president Obumma demands and threatens and the P M with his coward minister of evictions Barak agree They want american money!! A short period of time is forever !!! Why are the religious still pastners in this weak coalition????Where are the righest politicians ?? Is thier seats with all the perks better than a strong full Israel???
6. I've got the solution.
Brad ,   USA   (08.18.09)
Let's block all aid USA and Europe gives to Israel and let's withdraw from all peace process in Middle East. You want to build on somebody else's land? No problem - do it. But be prepared to be attacked, this time without "relief aid" USA so generously provided after 1967, 1971 etc. Let's allow Jews and Arabs to kill each other - maybe then world will be better place. Also, they both don't have nothing to fear - God is on each and others side, no?
7. You FOOLS Voted for Bibi
Yonatan ,   Yerushalayim   (08.18.09)
so you got what you deserved! It's unfortunate that others are suffering for your blindness. Some of you claim to be religious and you claim to follow the Torah. If you believed what the Torah says about leaders you would vote for leaders who believe in the Torah and in what the Torah says about Eretz Yisrael! Stop being afraid of what the world will say and start trusting what Hashem will do. The "Old Bibi" isn't back, he never went away, you're just too foolish or niave to understand it. You blame him for deceiving you but in reality, you deceived yourselves. It took you this long to wake up even after he kept Barak as DM so he could continue his past policies. What's the difference between Jews who believed that Hussein Obama suddenly changed after 20 years at an anti-Semitic, anti- Israel church, and Jews who believed that Bibi suddenly changed? Answer: NOTHING!!! The ONLY solution is for every right wing and Torah believing party to back a no-confidence motion and bring down this abomination in office. Then you need to TRUST HASHEM, get over your fears, and vote for a leader thet believes in the Torah and Eretz Yisrael!
8. mmm is Bibi is a brand name for shoes?
ghostq   (08.18.09)
new or old it's the same product. after he will wear out throw him and buy a new one.
9. They made their bed now lie in it
Avi ,   Israe;l   (08.18.09)
Just amazes me how some people seem to suffer from short term memory loss and have forgotten Bibis last disasterous term as PM. And now they are crying, BIbi is a smooth talkers and tells people what they want to hear , which is all it usually comes to. Seems the hero of the settler thugs has been fooling them all the way to the ballot box!
10. Old Bibi Never Left
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.18.09)
All you had to do was examine his US issued knee pads and how hard the fake Netandodo workd to get Livni to join his government of surrender. Look at who he has as defense minister and that should have been enough for you. You suckers were easily fooled again. Might as well stick a sign on your back saying ' I'm a stupid voter KICK ME TWICE '
11. I agree with Nour: Sanctions on PA will bring Peace
Yehuda ,   Lod   (08.18.09)
12. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A "NEW BIBI"!
Rabbi Jochanan ,   Gush Chalav   (08.18.09)
The problem lies with all those who - in spite of ALL the previous experiences - have believed a consumed LIAR, known as Zig-Zag-Yahoo. Netanyahu is always his usual self: he'd say whatever can get him to be on the chair.
13. Government's days numbered?
Tomer ,   Hod Hasharon, Israel   (08.18.09)
Excellent! Every time I hear that Bibi guy on the TV or radio I feel embarrassed to be Israeli.
14. The same old Bibi
DT ,   TA ISRAEL   (08.18.09)
Don't tell me anyone is surprised !? Bibi is as predicatable as night follows day and equally as weak.
15. #3 Ypip
(08.18.09)
Gaza is the result of a deliberate move to put the people there under siege, starve them of food, water, electricity, freedom of movement, school basics, healthcare, and human rights. This is being done by sadistic, apartheid, callous jewish Israeli governments, who want to see another people suffer the same fate as the jews did in the 30's and 40's in Germany, and in Warsaw. Stop ALL settlement building NOW!
16. Yonatan #7 is right: Read him.
Steve   (08.18.09)
It's not the left who we have to worry about. The left is the left. It is the right who are delusional, just like Yonatan wrote. They voted for Netanyahu hoping for a new and a better result this time around. We saw the same thing in 2003 elections. Sharon campaigned for re-election on the slogans, "A Palestinian State is inevitable" and "We are going to have to make painful concessions." So the right in Israel voted for Sharon - war hero, turned traitor - saying, "Vote for Sharon! A vote for a small (principled) party is a vote for Mitzna; a vote for disengagement!" So the right voted for Sharon instead of Kleiner or some other strong Zionist and we got Mitzna and disengagement anyway. The right never learns. The right repeats the same mistakes over and over and over again. Everyone on the right knew what Netanyahu is and yet they voted for him anyway. Now we hear: "We were betrayed!"
17. they should have voted for Ichud Leumi
Brian ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.18.09)
when this government collapses, and it better, or we will know the whole damn coalition is crap, than this time hopefully people will know to vote for Ichud Leumi.
18. Government WILL fall
Leah ,   Israel   (08.18.09)
if it adopts this plan. Every Jew has the right to live anywhere in the Land of Israel. Thats G-Ds law.
19. To #7 and #16
Naftush ,   Israel   (08.18.09)
Check your history. The hard-core Right brought down several Right-leaning Governments since the early 1990s, only to elevate the center-Left to power immediately afterward.
20. every voter who voted for a right wing...
brian ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.18.09)
...party other than Ichud Leumi was duped, it's the voters faults for not even knowing what the hell they are voting for. next time vote for Ichud Leumi
21. #19: "Hard-core" Right did not elevate left to power.
Steve   (08.18.09)
The VOTERS elevated the Left / center-Left to power. It is true, the Right brought down traitorous past governments, that deserved to be brought down. Columnist Caroline Glick made the same complaint you are making in a piece a few months back, stating: "Politics is the art of compromise." In other words, if the Right were willing to compromise, Sharon, Netanayhu and others who betray Israel would still hold power. They could continue betraying Israel at leisure. Sorry, I don't buy it. If Netanyahu's government falls, the only man who will be at fault is Netanyahu and Netanyahu alone. If a Left / center-Left government is elevated to power, one man will be at fault; Netanyahu and Netanyahu alone. He has a choice. The choice is his. Will Netanyahu choose to be remembered as the prime minister who surrendered to America's first Muslim-born president - one who is anti-Israel to the core - or will he be remembered as the prime minister who did not cave to immoral pressure but stood for Jewish values?
22. to #15 giggle there r no setelments in gaza
ghostq   (08.18.09)
and during 30's no german tryed to live in jewish geto and the palis cooked that mess you know y the blockad? short memory so let me refresh it for you the servises Israel provied to the stip among the mant services was a gaz station than Hamas killed 2 Israeli civilians who worked there(not soldiers) and thretend on sucide bombing witch they wildly use in the 90's, so close borders no terror attack. Egypt opened her borders to the palis and a a token for gratitud the palis gave Egypt Hizb planning attackes. so as you see no pity for murdurers.
23. Right Wing Fools!
Meir ,   Toronto   (08.18.09)
Does anyone think that the far right would win an election. There is no alternative to Likud. They represent the concensus. If Bibi is abandoned by the 'right' an even more anatagonostic-to Judea & Samaria- govt will be formed. Remember how Barak got in? Bibi isn't perfect but he is the best alternative.
24. BIBI IS SELLING ISRAEL SO DEEPLY. HE KNOWS ALL OLD TRICKS :)
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (08.18.09)
25. Relax....Bibi is just giving Obama enough time....
AJ ,   Washington, DC   (08.18.09)
to realize what idiots the Palestinian leadership iis made of. Either they'll: a) really come to the table with serious negotiations; or b) offer nothing but hate and do even less. Either way - Bibi has no choice and this decision is correct. Unless and ultil Israel's "peace partners" really step up - they will have nothing but death and poverty. This changes nothing. If they don't move - and soon - the cranes will be fired up again.
26. #23: You miss the point entirely.
Steve   (08.18.09)
Yonatan wrote above: "Some of you claim to be religious and you claim to follow the Torah. If you believed what the Torah says about leaders you would vote for leaders who believe in the Torah and in what the Torah says about Eretz Yisrael!" Let's take your view that Likud represents the "broad" consensus of Jewish opinion in Israel. The political Right in Israel is strong. As Yonatan says, many claim to follow the Torah and yet they voted for Netanyahu and Lieberman. Why? Both men embrace territorial compromise. Both men support a Muslim-enemy state in Israel. Israel Beiteinu (Leiberman's party) supports territorial compromise! Why vote for them? Yet they earned the second largest share of the vote from the Right; second to Likud. Netanyahu undermined (betrayed) Feiglin (and his supporters). Feiglin earned #20 slot in the Likud primary. Netanyahu sued to have him moved to #36 "no-man's land" slot. Then Netanyahu then courted Kadima and Labor traitors, leaving Ichud Leumi (National Union) out in the cold! Why would all these Jews -- Zionists; many of them living in Biblical Judea and Samari; Jews who follow the Torah -- vote for appeasers? Why did they NOT vote for true Zionists so that Israel would have a strong right-leaning government? Why did the Right vote for known compromisers like Netanyahu and Lieberman?
27. Meir the genious #23
Brian ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.18.09)
has it all figured out from Canada, by reading about Israel on the internet, Meir why don't you shut the hell up.
28. never would 'old Bibi' be back
observer   (08.18.09)
in the old golden days, settlements meddling was internal affair, but now he promoted it to the international level.
29. #25: You are preaching defeatism.
Steve   (08.18.09)
You say, "Bibi has no choice" but to capitulate to President B. Hussein's immoral demands. You could say the same thing about his attempt to nationalize 1/6 of the US economy: "The American people have no choice." Only Americans do have a choice. They are protesting and demonstrating against Obama's pretentions at town hall meetings, all the while you counsel retreat and surrender. PM Netanyahu is playing a very dangerous game; one which you seem to support. President B. Hussein not only demands a halt to Jewish expansion and growth in our land, he is demanding a halt to "natural growth" even in Jerusalem. Netanyahu. a few weeks back, rightly said, these demands are "unreasonable." Now it would appear, unlike the American people, Netanyahu is caving to Hussein's unreasonable demands. He is signaling to the world, "This is not really our land. We are illegal occupiers!" This is a dangerous game that you advocate by saying he "has no choice." This is defeatism and surrender, what you advocate.
30. Threats from the right
David ,   Israel   (08.19.09)
The right wing parties would be well advised to maintain the status quo and be patient. Remember the last time you brought Bibi down - you brought in Barak followed by Sharon, Olmert and Livni. Be careful what you wish for!
