1. Lack of physicians...
Ariel Berezin ,   Argentina   (08.21.09)
Sorrily I could experience how bad prepared was the sheliaj at the Jewish Agency in Buenos Aires...He had no idea about the revalidation process and also a poor interest in helping...
2. Medical
SEMMELWEIS   (08.22.09)
National service in hospitals for those with the capacity plus shortening the medical coarse and making it more practical . High standards achieved by paramedics who can do highly skiled tasks is a example.
3. Invest more in healthcare
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.22.09)
What does the healthcare system expect? Doctors and especially nurses are paid very poor salaries and often work under very difficult conditions. Perhaps the state should invest more money in the healthcare system as an incentive for more people to join the medical professions. I have heard that at least for nurses, salaries have not changed for the last 10 years!
4. Mother wanted me to be a doctor, I said I don't like slavery
Grigorius, engineer ,   Israel   (08.22.09)
Why on earth would want to be a doctor in Israel? They get paid like janitors until they reach forty, only then they start to get a normal wage. And they need to do 36 hour shifts and they get sued if they fall asleep during surgery. Thanks, I better sit at my desk and write code from 8 till 18 while sipping coffee.
5. Or maybe there's just too many sick people here...
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.22.09)
Some good advice on staying healthy: 1. Al natilat yadim with SOAP. 2. Stay in shape by going to the gym and parks regularly. 3. Go easy on the chocolate, falafel and rugaluch. Junk food weakens your system. Opt for an apple maybe, you know what they say. 4. Dress for the weather. (The cold doesn't make you sick, having a weak immune system bombarded with germs does). 5. Get a good nights sleep 7-8 hours per night. 6. Open your windows and let the fresh air in, especially in the winter. (Grandma sure was right about that one). 7. Stress is the #1 killer so invest in some preventative medicine and go to the health spa once in a while. 8. Stay home when you get sick. 9. Quit smoking and don't ever start if you haven't already. 10. Get some love'n.
6. Simple solution. Do like America did...allow Pakistani
Rivkah   (08.23.09)
Muslim physicians to practise medicine all over the country and when they have killed off enough patients to get all their relatives into Muslim heaven, you no longer need so many doctors and nurses. The nurses from the Philippines are real vicious and especially good at killing off Protestants since most of them are Catholics getting a headstart on a repeat of St. Bartholomew's Day massacre. I can just imagine what the Paki and Flip nurses and doctors would do to Jews, considering what they did to Protestants like Texe Marrs' brother Tony in Texas and my mother in Tucson and me in California and many, many others.
7. Stop taking in elderly and sick new olim!

Give scholarships for doctors and nurses after they complete service in the I.D.F. Raise the salaries of doctors, nurses and medical technicians. Let them earn big salaries like taxi and truck drivers. After all they did sprent years more studying.
