2 comments 1. Neve Gordon is absolutely right in calling for boycott (to which one could also add divestment and sanctions). Israel needs outside pressure to make it change its ways destructive to itself no less than to Palestinians. 2. Apparently the spokespersons for Ben Gurion University believe in academic freedom only when they agree with the opinion expressed. More the pity. Universities should encourage the free expression of ideas and opinions, whatever these may be, so long as they are not racist or intended to harm anyone.

The basic problem of the so called Two State Solution is the arab world does not want it. The arab world wants a one state solution, one that does not include Israel. If there was arab backing for a two state solution, such an idea could be discussed, but tehre is no backing so it can't. Proof the arabs want a one state solution? Look to Gaza. Israel capitulated against all reason, evicted Jews from their home on Jewish soil and look what happened. "Just give us this land for a home land and we wil live inpeace with you", Israel was promised. Did this move bring peace? Not just no, but HELL NO! Ask Hamas, ask Fatah, ask Iran, ask Iraq, ask any arab. All they want is all of Israel.

Name them, shame them, jail them.

Apartehid is a term thats applied to citizens of the same state but one group has different laws that apply to them on the grounds of things like race. South Africa had one rules for blacks another for the white minority. The palestinians are not Israeli citizens so they are not entitled to any of the rights that Israelis are. As for the boycott calls who cares this is just another one of many academics who likes to think that they have all the answers and know solve the problem. This idiot isn't the first to call for boycotts over Israels so called apartheid policies with the palestinians and won't be the last. Best to just ignore him rather than highlight his calls through the media. Without media attention nobody will take any notice of him.
