1. Game is over, Palestine will be a state, get used to it

2. The Arabs are not motivated by positive national aspirations
Ron B. ,   Lod   (08.30.09)
For the Jews, the main point was to establish a sovereign Jewish state. For the Arabs, the main point was, always, to completely oppose any form of Jewish sovereignty in any part of Palestine. The Arabs are not motivated by positive national aspirations. They have no desire to return to a "homeland" and to realize their imaginary "Palestinian" nationality. They simply want to make sure that the Jews are not in Israel. It is not despair caused by loss of what is theirs that motivates them; it is the hope to destroy what belongs to the Jews. The nurturing of this hope is the factor that gave birth to Arab nationalism. More at : http://xrl.us/be2ig9
3. Author is a deep thinker...and also right.
Israeli 2   (08.30.09)
4. a spectaculaly foolish article
PZ   (08.30.09)
Bibi invented unity governments? Bibi invented polítics of survival? Lieberman's Russian diplomacy something more than pro-Arab Putin laughing at a fat clown? Settlements (instead of hi-tech) the savior (rather than the burden) of the Israeli economy? Bibi's gov corruption free? hahahahahahahaha
5. The future is ours
Danny ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.30.09)
Let us hope and pray in Tav Shin Yud Ayin that we have a year of truth and renewed Zionism, a new Israel and a home for the Arabs in Jordan.
6. Normality=Denial of Reality
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (08.30.09)
It all sounds so plausible. The Prime Minister has to survive and is proving himself as adept as...who can we summon up from our history and inflate the status of the Prime Minister? Yes of course, the best we ever had, David Ben Gurion. So Bibi is doing as well as BG! He's just got to convince Tzippi Livni to join him and hey presto, its in the bag, Bibi can stay for as long as no other crisis occurs, and even then some. Yvet Liebermann is doing a grand job isn't he? He can talk to Putin in his own language, so that's the Russians sorted. The fact that when he was meeting with the Russians, at exactly the same time they were meeting with Hamas is irrelevant - yes? The fact that no one wants to meet him and he's our Foreign Minister - that's all ok too right? They don't know what a charmer Yvet really is - the fools. Then we've got a housing problem? No. Its not a problem. Its a minor issue. After all we've got all those new housing units we're building in the West Bank. New housing is there, for all. Yup, Bibi's got it all sown up. And so has Moshe Dann as he helps his daughter plant a new vegetable patch in her garden overlooking Shechem. Oh wait a second. Is that Shechem? In the West Bank? AKA Nablus, an all Palestinian town? Really? Well hey, its not our problem, its theirs, isn't it? They can continue to live under our heel, because actually they enjoy it. We'll continue to occupy them and never never remove our settlers, oh no, cos there's too many of them now and it'll be such a big mess and fuss that none of us really want. Its Bibi all the way - Mr Clean remember?- and maintaining the status quo? Yeah and its all one big act of Denial, and of course our own arrogance, and we're world masters at both. Except, watch out, Reality bites and this is going to bite us very hard. Enjoy the fruits of the garden Mr Dann - while you still can.

10. Deluded
Smith ,   TA, Israel   (08.31.09)
What's the deal with Ynetnews.com lately? So many of the writers here are deluded and feeding into the delusions of others. Liberman is making progress in Russia? Is this some kind of joke? Didn't the Russians the other day unequivocally demand an end to settlement construction? Does the author seriously think the Russians would dare try and flip one of America's closes allies into their camp? I'm sorry Moshe Dann but international politics doesn't work like that. We're America's bitch and the Russians know it. And even if the Pals are ambivalent about the PA that doesn't mean they're ambivalent about the occupation you sophist! I'm pretty sure they're 99% against it even if they don't like the PA. And what kind of institution is CUNY anyway? Sounds wrong. Very wrong. Especially since it's the old English slang for a vulgar way to describe a woman's private part below the waist.
11. Bibi may survive, but will Israel survive Bibi?
Dan ,   NYC   (08.31.09)
Iran is not interested in politics, they're interested in getting nuclear weapons and destroying Israel.
12. bibi and olmert survival
alexi   (08.31.09)
Bibi survives well as israelis realize that he has substance, has done combat and though indecisive at times, has israel's best interests at heart. Whereas Olmert exploited media and peace circles to try to avoid indictment which has failed. Olmert will absolutely be convicted on at least the tours case. His only hope is to throw himself on the mercy of the prosecutor and plead guilty with a lesser jail term. Israelis have seen him and do not want ever to be PM. Oh, peace now, haaretz, oz and grossman want him in spite of his crimes, because they want withdrawal from west bank even if it means tel aviv is rocketed.`You look at olmert and you see ramon, hirchson, zaken, messer, you see his sons who don't do combat service like their father. How israelis could ever elect this fraud PM is unbelievable.Livni is now damaged by association beyond repair.
