1. What does Shalit eat on his birthday? Candlelight=hoax
(08.30.09)
I remember a very funny photo of "Palesinian" legislators sitting with candles, but you can notice the sun from behind the drapes. And a photo of "Palestinian" children holding candles with an electric street light in the back of the picture. AMATEURS!
2. They should have thought of that before committing crimes.
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.30.09)
If they were lawful citizens they would be with their families right now but they had other priorities. I don't think that they would even consider giving Jewish prisoners kosher food or respecting our holidays. They probably wouldn't even keep them alive for that matter. Be happy with your canned food, it's more than you deserve and if full observance of your religion is your priority, obey the law and you'll have the FREEDOM in Israel to do so.
3. Reach for that SPAM, boys!

Voice of Reason ,   Here & Now   (08.30.09)
This is realy disturbing news. Food from cans it is not like home. Hello this is prison, remember? This is very disturbing I did not realize they had it so good before. Maybe they could use their mobile phones to order Pizza, or maybe Sushi? May they enjoy the Holy month of Ramadan to the fullest.
6. Canned food
Yerach ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.30.09)
It is not a 5 star hotel it is a jail. In America or Europe they wouldn't even get halal just as Jew would not get kosher. So what are they complaining about at least their food is halal. I was reading about a county jail in Phoenix Arizona in the US where the local sheriff feeds the prisoners green balogna (made from pork of course) & wear pink underwear. So what are the Fakestinians complaining about? Perhaps we should do just like Sheriff Joe in Phoenix? They don't want canned food don't commit crimes it is that simple!!!!
7. Ma nishtana hashana hazeh? Ki Shalit Ba aza

9. Ramadan in prison is not as good as home? I'm shocked.

10. Ban prisoners from talking to the press
JPS ,   Efrat   (08.30.09)
Why and how are prisoners allowed to talk to the press? They should be held in complete communication blackout - no family, friends, lawyers or "rights" workers. The prisoners should be locked in the cells 24/7. This should go on until Hamas agrees to international law and allows the Red Cross to visit Gilad Shalit and determine if he is alive and being treated well. Until then, the prison doors and phone lines should be blocked totally.
11. and what do you think shalit was eating
shuli ,   uk   (08.30.09)

15. I couldn't stop laughing after reading this
Allan ,   US   (08.30.09)
article. My wife thought I finally went over the edge. THEY'RE PRISONERS!!! Nuff said.
16. Personal experience
David Olesker ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.30.09)
I was actually a guard in Kitziot camp (a good few years ago) as part of my army reserve duty. At that time the prisoners had a lot of autonomy. They cooked their own meals and organized a lot of activities (exercise, lectures one wrote his doctoral thesis). How ironic that they are now missing the "good old days" when the "brutal" Israeli army ran the camp!
17. Canned Food
mark ,   canada   (08.30.09)
You know boys, in the US, there is a jail in Arizona, where county type jailbirds get a couple of sandwiches per day, and some coffee. They have committed crimes, but not like these guys the article is about. It just may be your subverted religion that got you here in the first place. Murder and terrorism will get you ham sandwiches and greasy canned pork baloney (with a bit of bear meat) --EVERY TIME! Get a fresh start--leave jail and sin no more!!
18. #9 don't be shocked
observer   (08.30.09)
I'll tell you; extreme disparity in the quality of two prisons in Israel is the norm. are you really living there or just for not loosing the citizenship?

What do you mean?
20. if theywant luxury lets feed them roast pork and wine
zionist forever   (08.30.09)
Canned food is to good for them. We shouldn't be giving them extras because its Ramadam, they are in jail as a punishment and that means restrictions. If they don't like it then let them complain to the Red Cross I am sure they will make sure they get proper treatment just like the Red Cross makes sure Gilad Shalit it treated well and gets fed good healthy meals.
21. Aww, would they like some cheese to go with that WHINE????
