1. Every country in world believes . . .
emanon ,   USA   (09.04.09)
Why do those words usually precede a terrorstinian lie? In order for that to be true, every person in every country would beleieve the same thing. I do not believe it, there for the USA does not believe it, therefore, the stement is untrue. But we know that at the outset. It came from a terrorstinian.
2. The "noise Israel is making?"
david ,   Switzerland   (09.04.09)
I really hope Europe will be smart enough not to listen to this hypocrite. I love Europe but when it comes to Israel, they tend to abandon all the principles Europe wishes to stand for.
3. Timing of this
Daran ,   UK   (09.04.09)
It seems the aides and their masters swap "senario's" in the court of the media . the PM's unfrozen freeze and PA's pali tail wagging euro dog. Wish these people would just get to the table.
4. Resettlement.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (09.04.09)
It is a historic reality that Jerusalem, as the entire land, were originally intended to be a homeland for the Jewish people. The Arabs living in this area, the so called “Palestinians” (about 5.000.000 persons) should in fact have a place and opportunity to settle, but it shouldn’t be in Jerusalem and/or the Land of Israel. As the total for all the 22 Arab League countries is 6,145,389 square miles (SM ) and Israel has only 8,463 SM, the resettlement of the Arabs should not be problematic. By comparison, all 50 states of the United States have a total of 3,787,318 SM. More at : http://xrl.us/osyi8
5. OH PITY THE POOR PEACE LOVING PA!
stude ham   (09.04.09)
SOB... SOB... SOB... SOBS ALL! ironically, any EU sanctions against Israel will hurt the PA far more than Israel.
6. Options of the terrorists
michael ,   mombasa Kenya   (09.04.09)
the PA is caught between a rock and a very hard place. This is a tough lesson for them. When the Jews were suffering exile from their homeland the palestinians became too comfortable in Judea,Samaria and the whole land of israel. Now that the owner is back, make way or suffer.calling for EU sanctions will only open up a painful sore.Submission is the answer for palestinians.
7. Result of trying to work with o-BUM-a, never trust him.

8. Tit for Tat time. Impose sanctions on us, & we'll shut of
your damn water,elec ,   tricity,&borders!!!   (09.04.09)
9. Got to hand it to Abu Mazen
Lior ,   Israel   (09.04.09)
He has a point. Every country on the planet has screamed to the top of their lungs about settlements including our supposed friends, the United States. I would not be surprised at all if Israel is santioned. In the end Abbas is quite cleverly using the settlement issue and will not be faulted for it because after all, we are the bad guys occupying the pooor downtrodden Palestinian people!!*&?@! We are the evil Zionist occupiers. The settlement issue is a gross distortion now turned to a lie. A lie upheld by the entire planet. The world is against us. We are fools we haven't fought for truth harder. We just roll over and continue to turn the other cheek. To untangle this lie which the world believes is truth will never happen. We the victims have been turned into the pariah to the world; the victimizers. We can sure fight a war when we have to but we are freaking wimps when it comes time to defend ourselves from libels, hatred, antisemitism and flat out lies. We can't even fight Sweden on their latest libel which a good portion of the world believes and defends as "free speech." All of the Israeli users of facebook can't even muster up the slightest energy to fight Facebook calling residents of the Golan, Syrians. When we are santioned for living on our rightful land maybe we will finally rise up!
10. Scoring an own goal
zeroing ,   Stuttgart   (09.04.09)
Any economical sanction against the state of Israel will make the Israelis even richer and intelligenter then before. They will found new ways to cope with such a situation. Look back at the history books and you will see how Jews managed to turn every awkward situation imposed upon them by their adversaries into profit. The world didn't want to give them weapons to defend themselves - see now what you have: Rafael, Elbit, IWI, Dimona etc.. Israel must retaliate by imposing harsher sanctions against the Arabs that they can grasp the folly of their action. The losers of scientific advancement want to drag the wholly world into backwardness. Arabs have only oil and Israelis have brain which propels the world forward. To try to isolate the most productive group of human race is an affront against human development. Only spiritual deprived people believe the land of Israel is Arab. The enlightened part of human kind knows who is the owner of the biblical holy Land of Israel. Israel do what is good for you, don't listen to any body; then G-D says it is your Land. Only Satan is against you, so don't worry.
11. Funny that this issue comes up only after Obama said it
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (09.04.09)
For all the time Olmert and Sharon and previous Israeli PMs were "negotiating" with the PA and specifically with President Abbas this was never an issue until President Obama said it was. Given the outcome of the 9 peace offers, the return of Gaza, and the dedication of Fatah to armed struggle for this to be an issue now means that they are even further from making a deal now than at any point prior to this. Arabs don't negotiate - they make a demand and then spend as much time as is needed for Israel to be forced to capitulate (look at Syria and the Golan, Hamas and Shalit, etc.).
12. #6 Submission my ass! Eviction would be much more preferable
Kenny ,   USA   (09.04.09)

Holocaust deniers such as abu mazen
14. israel buys EU products palestinian ask for EU handouts
zionist forever   (09.04.09)
I am sure all these liberal EU states would love nothing more than sanctions against Israel but they wouldn't dare especially during a recession. Between them the EU does billions of dollars in trade with Israel every year which sanctions would harm and may cost jobs and income that these EU states cannot afford to loose at this time. The only money that changes hands between the EU & palestinians is when the arabs come with their begging bowls demanding billions of Euros in cash handouts. Even Britain & France which are the muslim capitals of Europe can't afford to take the moral high ground and Elbit the country Norway is boycotting is a major contractor to modernizing their armed forces. The EU politicians will use lots of big words to condemn Israel diplomatically but at the end of the day money talks louder and they will not risk loosing alot of income earned through trade with Israel during a recession.
15. #14
Michael ,   Haifa   (09.04.09)
The price of the settlement policy will be EU sanctions, at which point Israel will not have the cash to buy from the EU and the EU will not supply handouts to Israel
16. Do'nt fear sanctions?
Daran ,   UK   (09.04.09)
Many posts here seem to suggest that EU sanctions would not be a dire matter. Who thinks the EU would be alone in imposing such sanctions, would the arab league for instance continue trade and transport links if such a sanction regime was enacted? Tricityandboarders? Could the EU really "afford" to cut its self off from "the most productive group of humans" (rlol). I support Israel but the belligerency of some idiot post's here reek of fear.
17. #6 The owner is BACK! WOWWW
Dave ,   Washington, DC   (09.04.09)
Show me the papers!!!!
18. pa considering....(suicide????)
les ,   canada   (09.04.09)
let see now.. the eu, already half muslim now, happyly dealing with ahmadinut, selling its soul for arab money (taken from them :)) etc. ) should boycot israel for not responding to constant rocket attacks, kidnappings, buldozering mothers in their car, allowing the pa spending their OWN PEOPLE'S food money for weapons, YES SIR, I DEFENETLY AGREE; THE EU MUST BOYCOTT ISRAEL!!! LMAO....
19. "Not a country in the world" - actually a poll in US
William ,   Israel   (09.05.09)
suggests otherwise.... A bipartisan poll regarding Israel and the peace process....of American citizens and not Obama's cronies....showed that almost 75% supported Israel's right to allow for normal growth of existing settlements during a building freeze. Conversely, 95% of Americans agree that Pals must recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish State, and only 36% believe Abbas shares Israel's commitment to peace. I would say that if more countries were polled this way, you'd find a pretty damaging trend to the Palestinian "cause". http://www.theisraelproject.org/site/c.hsJPK0PIJpH/b.672581/k.DB67/The_Israel_Project__For_Freedom_Security_and_Peace.htm
20. "Israel companies in settlements...EU closed to it"
William ,   Israel   (09.05.09)
That's not really a good scare tactic, Erekat, knowing what past "boycott" efforts have brought the Pals. Several companies that were boycotted by the EU moved their operations just inside the Green Line. A moral victory for the Pals and Leftists, that left over 100 Palestinians without jobs to feed their families. The PA offered NO replacement job as they widdle through billions in aid money. The PA demands a halt to the settlement building. Just a few weeks ago, Pal workers in the settlements admitted their willingness to work in the settlements and hope more building comes. They cited the very low pay for the same work for Palestinian companies and the lack of leadership in the economy and job creation by the PA. Watch was you wish for, PA. Once you have a State, your time at the world welfare teet will come to a quick end.
21. PA/EU Sanctions? Rocket Scientist...NOT!!
mark c turner ,   Crystal Lake, USA   (09.05.09)
Maybe the PA morons should stop lobbing rockets into their prospective Israeli neighbors back yards and retract their widespoken intent to wipe Israel off of the map! That might be a good start, don't you think, duh!!!??? PA/EU Sanctions, wow how completely innovative, and utterly useless. I guess Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas doesn't get nominated as the latest/greatest Rocket Scientist. He needs to fire his so called advisors and start from scratch. Beggars are not in a position to dictate their demands to their prospective hosts...bunch of spoiled brats if you ask me! They could use a good solid spanking and a time out! Maybe go to their spoiled rotten Arab brothers who have 600 times as much land mass as Israel to get a small chunk of land from them, but no, God (or Allah) forbid that the Arab brothers would be neighborly or generous, despite the greatest portion of Palestinians having immigrated from those very same 21 Arab dictatorships to the tiny little shining star of a democracy in the midst of that giant brothel. But...they all want the same thing...no more Jews, no more Israel. Guess what...that will just never happen, so give it up, shut your mouths, play nice, and be grateful for whatever you get. And for God's sake...quit your whining!!!!!!
22. Time for Israel to mark its final borders.
David ,   Hartford USA   (09.05.09)
If the PA can only whine (which it does so well) and not make any counteroffers of where the line should be, then its there fault for not participating. Mark the borders and be done with it. Then everyone can get back to scraping out a living. If the PA wants Al Aksa so bad, DISMANTLE the whole thing and rebuild it in Ramallah- I don't think the prophet could tell the difference.
23. cost of sanctions can be deducted from palestian coffers
Bernard Ross ,   St anns bay, jamaica   (09.05.09)
Tacas paid to PA, arab bank accounts, any palestinian asets can be seized to pay for the cost of sanctions. Furthermore if sanctions get tough israel must develop a plan to occupy the saudi oilfields and use oil money to fund israel rather than muslim terror. Who will attack if they know that israel abandons policy of restrained war?
24. Abbas and EU
Brod ,   USA   (09.05.09)
Since when did this terrorist Abbas make the EU as his slave?
25. Isn't Abbas a Holocaust denier? And he's called a moderate?
Yaniv ,   Israel   (09.05.09)
26. Ahh-Sooo!! Abu Mazen NOW Speaks for the ENTIRE WORLD!!!
ASM ,   Jerusalem   (09.05.09)
Thanks Chief Architect and Chief Financier of the Black September groups Munich Olympics Massacre!! Well Sorry you "Terrorist from Hell", the World looks at you as does Almighty G-d - He looks at You and Laughs!!! The USA and the Palestinians - A Marriage Made in (...../..... OR in Heaven.....)
27. #15
James ,   Herzeliya   (09.05.09)
Hmm I don't think israel needs hand outs from EU. Israel's foreign reserves stands at 51 billion dollars.
28. #17 - Gladly....place your nose in the book
William ,   Israel   (09.05.09)
Besides the three major religions citing Jewish ownership of the Land as fact...with the Koran specifically pointing out the return of Jews to their Land and hell to those who impede this.... the British papers in the Balfour Agreement and the UN Partition documentation which provides ownership to the Jews. This is legal under Intl law. Further, in Jerusalem there are tons of deeds, dating back hundreds of years, to land in Israel by Jews. Suddenly, those considered Palestinian Muslims are found to really have a Jewish ancestry and were forcibly converted by the Arab marauders of the 7th century. Finally, those Arabs who claim to be the owners of the land state so in contradiction to mountains of documentation...namely, Turkish papers citing that only 5% of land was in private hands before WWI.....the British monitored hundreds of thousands of illegal Arab immigrants streaming across the border in the 1930s, settling on any piece of land not occupied. They certainly don't have a deed for it. Being from DC, one would guess you can muster enough cerebral activity to crack open a book and get knowledgeable on world history. Then again, your neighbors on Pennsylvania Avenue seems to have that problem, so why shouldn't you?
29. #16 - It's not belligerence, it's Intl law
William ,   Israel   (09.05.09)
The Arab League already has NO trade with Israel and maintains boycott offices in the region, which is against Intl law per the WTO. With a wave of their hand, the WTO can inflict serious damage on Arabs in return for their belligerence against Israel. Look at how harsh they were during US/EU trade disputes. The only way sanctions could be imposed is if major human rights abuses and/or threats to the Intl population at large were inflicted by the accused party. That's just not the case here. Further, sanctions must be enacted within the UNSC FIRST before any country or union can enact it themselves. Compare Israel, who is fighting a blood-thirsty, racist enemy and Iran, North Korea, and Sudan. Hell, Sudan kills thousands based on racism...and no sanctions have been placed yet. No matter the Leftist rallying cry to demonize Israel, the facts speak for themselves....and it shows the arrogance of people of your ilk.
30. #15 - What handouts does the EU give to Israel?
William ,   Israel   (09.05.09)
We all know the EU pays the lion's share of the unaccounted welfare aid to the Palestinians, despite the EU's troubled finances and rising unemployment. What exactly are they giving the Israelis? Nothing. They do business with the sovereign nation just as they do with other sovereign nations. The biggest EU handouts seem to be to Arab countries, even a few that are on the sanctions list.
