Joel the Prophet warned the reason for Armageddon is dividing God's land. Dividing Jerusalem is calling God a liar since He gave that to the Jews as an inheritance. God did not give it to the Gentile Christians or the Gentile Muslims or the Gentile Hindus. He gave it to the descendants of Judah, son of Isaac, son of Abraham. The ONLY way to avoid Armageddon and nuclear winter and unimaginable destruction is for the International Community to stop calling God a liar. God is not a liar and He does not break His promises. If it takes the eternal death and destruction of every Muslim on earth for God to keep his promise to the Jews, that is what will happen. The Euphrates River is drying up. Know what that means? There are four fallen angels bound in the River Euphrates who have the power to kill a third of the people on earth. They are bound (imprisoned) because they cannot traverse water. When the water is dried up, they will be free to destroy a third of the people on earth or 2.2 Billion people. Sounds like most Muslims and their allies are not going to live long if they are the third of the world's population that die.

Of course, Robin has it backwards (#2,3)....Refuse the yearly aid and military give-aways then, and hold your own, and then deal with the problems on your own. Of course Bibi tries to slip one under the fence, he's a politician, but these actions aren't in Israel's long-term interests, and anyone with half a brain knows it.

Yes, it's a silly suggestion; Israel probably has more love and respect for America than does Obama. But it's clear that Venezuela, Syria and Iran get the outreach, the friendship, and the offers that US' democratic allies like Honduras and Israel don't. The fact that Obama's outreach has been, so far, an outright failure hasn't yet sparked a serious rethink. Lebanon is still pussy-footing with Hizbullah. Syria still allows terrorists passage into Iraq to kill Americans; Iran is still advancing its nuclear and missile projects even as it establishes cells worldwide. The PA is still talking about "resistance". And he's won no gestures from the Arab world toward Israel of any consequence. The Muslim world, so far, is paying no price for the thumb-in-the-eye they're giving the President. So all the pressure falls on Israel.

If this is how the US will use its influence to make peace, then PLEASE don't help Israel!!! All of Jerusalem belongs to Israel and no power on Earth can tell Israelis not to build there. The US is impotent against Iran, North Korea, Syria, etc, but has to flex its muscle against a little pocket of Jews in a sea of Arabs! What should we expect when the President of the USA BOWS to king or Arabia! The USA is pathetic. I hope the midterm elections bring back sanity to the government. Bibi, you must stand up to Obama. After ganging up with 6 other armies for the purpose of ethnic cleansing, Jordan illegally seized Judea and Samaria in 1948, along with part of Jerusalem, and drove out all the Jews who had lived there for millennia, and renamed it the west bank. After defending themselves from Libya, Jordan, Egypt and Syria in 1967, Israel came into possession of Judea and Samaria. Since it belonged to no sovereign nation, it's not against international law to settle there. The arabs themselves have built 261 settlements there since 1967, and as part of the Oslo Accords, Arafat was offered 97% of what he wanted in the west bank, with the other 3% to be made up elsewhere, and instead of continuing to negotiate and making a counter-offer, he went to war after pledging in writing not to. In Gaza, Israel went further than stopping settlement growth, they dismantled settlements and withdrew completely, and that brought missiles and not peace. What makes people think that stopping the natural growth of neighborhoods around Jerusalem will bring peace, especially since Fatah has said that they will never recognize Israel?

Obama's "regret" is just a wink and nod that it's OK for the settlements to proceed.

Israel is not one more state of America

#1: What's your point? That was a loooooooong time ago. Right now it's 2009. That logic doesn't work in the modern world. #2: Of course you don't because you're not ones who can dictate to the U.S. #3: The same man in power of the U.S, capable of cutting aid and relations to Israel.

Israel's policies are set in Jerusalem. Not Washington D.C. Not London, or Paris, or Berlin or any other bloody European capital (and --given the long history of savage treatment of Jews throughout Europe -- I REALLY DO mean "bloody"). The Second World War has not been over long enough for Europeans to be openly critical and hostile of Israel's policies. It probably never will.

Those who resent U.S. calls to suspend settllement ought to at least tell U.S. to keep it's 3 billion per year aid to Israel.
