Any amateur can catch this cheap trick. The aljazeera crew probably threw a simple 'smoke' grenade at their own reporter to create a sensationalistic piece. Anyone who's been near a tear-gas granade going off knows that you cannot talk when inhaling that gas because it completely discomforts your throat, nasal ducts and your eyes... If this was for real this lady should be now known as SUPERWOMAN. Of course, nobody in Haaretz cares about these things because they're all a bunch of lefties. Instead of spreading the disinformation fomented by aljazeera, Haaretz is actually boosting it... Very sad!

I did realize that it's a very nice 'coincidence' that the camera pans, soldiers line up and run out of the fence and tear gas explodes at a distance. Then from a good 20 meters away Israeli soldiers (non of which have a grenade launcher, M203 attachment to there gun, and I didn't see the muzzle launching type of canisters) hurl a tear gas can with full gear in 35+ degree weather over her head and on the other side of her. Then she proclaims I'm "under attack" which is impressive by her, because generally when a person feels eminent danger the flight mechanisms within the brain triggers, and should have at least dashed away a bit by natural instinct, but instead stands there like a kid getting hit by a water balloon. But still it's funny to see the b-tch eat it... and next time if Israeli soldiers do catch Al Jazeera reporters doing such a game, they should throw stun grenades, and trust me she won't be saying "I'm under attack", she'll just be curled up in the fetal position.

And it should be dealt accordingly. The tear gas isn't working obviously. A more aggresive substance should be used in order to disperse the enemy thugs. If the tables were switched, the arab armies would use live ammo. And the video would never make it to public.

I really think the IDF should at the very least invest in an "army" of photographers to catch the entire protest episode each week from several different angles. The clip undermines Rowland's claim: she is brutally attacked by tear gas--and it seems to have virtually no effect. The Israelis could easily have obstructed Rowland. It's obvious that the Israeli troops are using very mild tear gas intended to disperse crowds.

The whole broadcast is a farce. If the canister that went by her face at 1:43 into the clip had been tear gas, she would have had to stop talking right there, doubled up, coughing, tears streaming down her face and unable to speak (or even breathe)--that's why it's called "tear gas". Additionally, calling a rock and molotov cocktail-throwing, tire-burning demonstration "peaceful" makes one wonder what she would call a "violent demonstration"...
