2. Can we correct our mistakes and also save Shalit?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (09.10.09)
After a series of lopsided trades for captured Israelis each one getting closer to the impossible can we now reverse course and still save Shalit? And if we save Shalit what will happend the next time when the price is raised ten-fold.
3. the free gilad campaign promotes Hamas demands & nothing els
zionist forever   (09.10.09)
Shalit is almost certainly dead anyway because if he were alive then it would be in Hamas best interests to allow a Red Cross visit or make a few home movies of Gilad suffering to stir the emotion of the Israeli public. In three years all there has been is one letter in which Gilad says his health is deteriorating everyday. As for the people out campaigning for his release the only people who benefit are Hamas because intentionally or not they are acting like envoys for them. Hamas want over 1000 prisoners many of them killers who will probably kill again these people will say there is no price to high lets pay Hamas price now worry about the future later. Trades on the scale Hamas want are unacceptable and will only encourage kidnapping because all the terrorists need is to take 1 soldier and they can demand anything they want. A responsible government has to say there is a price beyond which we will not pay and stick to their guns no matter what the emotional feeling throughout the country are. Force Hamas to compromise on their demands by playing tough and ignoring the feelings of the Shalit family & supporters who shouldn't be involved anyway. Its a political decision not a family & friends one. BIBI & BARAK GET GILAD BACK ALIVE OR DEAD BUT NOT AT ANY PRICE.
4. like arab market, hamas r asking 2 much 4 something unknown
is he alive at all?   (09.10.09)
5. campaigning for Gilad Shalit
Fair   (09.11.09)
Very true, but there are some form of campaigning which could be more helpful, for example finding ways to engage on this issue with the population of Gaza, in their language, as the pressure on Hamas must also come from Gaza's population.
6. Gilad Shalit
Don, New Zealand ,   AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALA   (09.11.09)
I am at a loss as to why Israel has not freed this lad themselves. I am sure your Shin Bet knows exactly where he is. Maybe it is because you dont have leaders with enough courage to take the bull by the horns. I dony know.
7. This is going to be very unpopular:
(09.11.09)
End the farce. Risk another Nashon Waxman. Go into Gaza and get him out. Hint: the Dughmushes probably have him. I can get a map if anyone needs one. Dead or alive, use force to get him out, and let the terrorist men, and especially the terrorist women of child-bearing age (that's what really annoys them) rot in prison until the Second Coming.
8. CHALANGE HAMAS !!!.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.11.09)
The Gilad Shalit brand Shalit campaign helps many people, but it does not help Gilad WHY NOT ???., ONLY THE LEADERS IN ISRAEL CAN DO SOMTHING PRACTIKAL FOR HIS REALEASE. An opposition politician was advised by his PR consultants to reinforce his status as a “leader” – and ever since then he has been making statements about the need to show “leadership” on the Shalit issue. However, maybe real leaders need to be silent? And perhaps a real leader would take unpopular decisions? This politician can’t answer those questions. SILENT ??? , THEY HAVE BEEN THAT FOR YEARS NOW, SPEAKING A LOT OF SHIT IN HIDING. THE OPEN SPEACH TO HAMAS FROM ISRAEL SHOULBE BE - REALESE SHALIT OR FACE EXTERMINATION , NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS. AND IF THE ISRAELI LEADERSHIP CONTINUE SITTING IDLE, THAT LEADERSHIP WILL FALL, IF THEY ARE STUPID ENUFF NOT TO UNDERSTAND PR. Arn.
9. Tell me.How many Jews killed by swapped terros in past years
Alan ,   SA   (09.11.09)
10. What does it say about us?
(09.13.09)
Gilad Shalit has been a Palestinian prisoner for over three years. He is someone's son. Most people my age have not only sons but grandsons as well, and he could belong to any one of us. In 72 hours there have have been 9 talkbacks. What does that say about us?
