Israelies are not stupid barbarians! What their grandparents did, and their parents apologized - why should you hold a grudge. Besides, I think it is time that we finally relinquish our "Jewish frustrations" that kept us. NOW WE HAVE ISRAEL, now we can be in calm and peace. They can love us or not, who gives a... It is only important they do not get violent. Otherwise, we will go nuclear on their asses.

THE GERMAN NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS GATHERED PRIOR TO THE 2nd W.W. HAS BEEN SCATTERED AND SPLIT. IT IS STILL THERE THOUGH, IN THE SUBCONSCIOUSNESS OF THE NATIONAL GERMAN CONSCIOUSNESS, AND CAN REVIVE FROM THERE, IF THE CIRCUMSTANCES IS RIGHT. GERMANYS NATIONAL SPIRIT, IS NOT CLEANSED FROM ITS GENOCIDE, SO JEHOWAH HAS NOT FORGIVEN GERMANY FOR THIS. AND IN THE FUTURE ISRAEL WILL UNDER HER COVENANT WITH EU SE WHAT GERMANY IS STILL. Arn.
4. Positive signs
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (09.10.09)
It is good to know that the German-Israeli relationship is normalizing. Especially the younger Israelis have a positive view on Germany. Though both sides should not forget the Shoa. I ask myself how the Germans see Israel. As far as I can remember recent polls tell that especially younger Germans have negative views of Israel. Still the status quo?

Are you some kind of child or something that somehow found his way on this website? "Now we have Israel" - WTF does that mean? If you are so passionate about Israel then make Aliyah. Meanwhile, stick to the game playing websites and leave the adults to discuss the world issues.

Eyal ,   Jerusalem   (09.10.09)
It's just that we don't blame this generation of Germans for what their parents/grandparents did. There is a huge difference between the two.

Only the victims can forgive the perpetrators and they for the most part have passed away. What else can we do except to learn from the past, live in the present, and make sure that our two countries become the best of friends and together make sure that a Shoa never happens again. This comes through dialog. From 1948, when Israeli passports said "This passport is valid for travel to all countries, with the exception of Germany", to planeloads of German and Israeli tourists flying back and forth for holidays today, I think that says it all. And may I say this, that since the fall of Communism, there are more than 200,000 in Jews in Germany today, and considering the fact that there were 650,000 in 1933 that is an impressive number. The cities of Bochum and Düsseldort today now have more Jews than in 1933. And that my friends, is the last nail in Hitler's coffin!

Peter Kull ,   Frankfurt / Germany   (09.18.09)
I just received an email from my Israeli business partner who called my attention to the article regarding the poll. I dont have all required info on the figures but I like the idea of of "Bochum and Düsseldort today now having more Jews than in 1933. (And this fact to be the last nail in Hitler's coffin -as Mark mentioned) Peter Kull, German - not religious
