1. Oh wow! A first - this is never happened before
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.11.09)
What about the fact UNIFIL was suppose to disarm these terrorists? A violation of UNSC 1701 and a war-crime. Bet that President Ban couldn't get the General Assembly to vote against this latest attack.
2. Sanctions and boycot Israel now!
(09.11.09)
3. So, what would condemnation do, having failed to enforce
Avner Shomroni   (09.11.09)
1701 during the past three years?
4. Restraint, eh?
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.11.09)
Were North Korea to fire missiles into South Korea, what is the likelihood that this hapless Secretary General would issue a plaintive bleat calling on each side to exhibit "restraint?" Between slim and none. He'd be chomping at the bit, calling an emergency session of the Security Council, and agitating for immediate military action against North Korea. Clearly, this poor excuse for a diplomat does not feel that Israel deserves a similar response when missiles are fired into its territory from a hostile neighbor to the north. That's okay. Israel does not need anyone's help in curbing the nefarious activities of terrorist rabble. We will take care of the problem ourselves. That's the only way to ensure that it gets done properly. And you, Mr. Secretary General, can go to hell.
5. A Bomb For A Bomb
USABorn   (09.11.09)
What country in the world would stand by and allow terrorists to lob rockets into their country? Where else would that not be an act of war? How can we expect Israeli citizens to live with any peace of mind when they have no idea where the next bomb will land, only that there will be another bomb somewhere? Maybe Israel should return bomb for bomb. Make those coward terrorist think about their own lives and property. There has to be a cost to Hizbullah and Hamas for every rocket they fire. They'll scream and yell about the children and women, but justification is justification. Israel must defend their own. Israel is surrounded by murderous enemies. The U.N. is a pathetic joke when it comes to Israel. I know what the U.S. would do to any country who was firing rockets into our nation whenever they felt like it. Israel has the same right.
6. UN chief urges Israel, Lebanon to exercise restraint
alex ,   ashkelon israel   (09.11.09)
UN and its cheif are worthless they are just puppet and collect money and push israel tell them all 4 letter word in the world
7. LOL the U.N. is blind to it....
david   (09.11.09)
Israel's on it's own to deal with it, and it should!
8. UN better hurry and get Israel to abide by res.242
lydia ,   Brisbane   (09.12.09)
and end their illegal occupation of Lebanon before worrying about res.1701
9. Once again the UN is ready to defend the terrorists.
Mike ,   Mbsa, Kenya   (09.12.09)
If the UN cannot guarantee safety from terrorists they should at least move away and let responsible leaders eradicate them.why should terrorist be allowed to arm themselves heavily in almost every region of the world. In the middle east hamas and hezbollah in Africa al shabaab and others who terrorise pple without rest. Its time something decisive is done to defeat global terror. The UN is not helping but abetting terror.
10. Complaint? Throw it in the recycling box
Nour ,   Palestine   (09.12.09)
Israel pissed on all UN resolutions, including resolutions calling for its withdrawal from occupied Palestinian lands. The UN should in fact suspend Israel for violation of all its resolutions and for apartheid practices against us native Palestinians. ---- Israel had defied ALL THESE RESOLUTIONS: 1. Resolution 250: "...calls on Israel to refrain from holding military parade in Jerusalem" 10. Resolution 251: "...deeply deplores Israeli military parade in Jerusalem in defiance of Resolution 250" 11. got this Ban Ki-Clown?
13. #5 Bomb for Bomb
John ,   Boise, Idaho USA   (09.12.09)
Good idea #5. Actually, Israel could up the "anty" delivering a knockout blow to certain infrastructure til Lebanon AND the UN decides to do something constructive about it. Let THEM instill the costs to find their own terrorists. OR perhaps it ought to be airstrike for each rocket attack just for starters and see what "condemnation" the UN can develop in response and what "restraint" is available from their own protocol.
14. UNIFIL needs to disarm Hezbulah...
Rgalut ,   hales   (09.12.09)

15. I am the lord of Hosts, I do declare ------------ E-784RW
roger dale wallace ,   usa   (09.12.09)
- - - - I am the lord of Hosts, I do declare these things, heavenly forever, as being eternally true, as it shall always be true, as true of me (god), as forever certain -- forever, saith god -- HOLY FOREVER. Updated and revised today 9-11-2009AD . 3 Hear the word of the lord O Israel E-784-RW - W / 20 vs. 1 As concerning Israel making agreements with foreign nationalities who are found living on Israeli biblical land. - 2 Have ya O Israel, not heard, thou shalt make no agreements with those foreign nations who are found forever on Israeli biblical land? - 3 Ye shall make no agreements with them, least I (god) punish thee (Israel). And ye (Israel) shall go and obtain all land that is found according to my (god) historical oath with you (Israel). - 4 Even as it is found recorded between me (god) and Abraham thy fore father, eternally forever and ever seen, sath god -- HOLY FOREVER. - 5 Remember, make no covenants, nor agreements with them (the heathen), least I (god) turn upon thee (Israel) and smite thee (Israel) with my (god) hand, as thou (Israel) art found: - 6 ‘As found unto me (god) as being disobedient to me (god) in regards as being found sinful against our agreement‘. That agreement is made between me (god) and thee (Israel). And is found through Abraham thy fore father as being eternally forever and ever seen -- of me forever. - 7 If, thou (Israel) shalt make such unrepentiful true sinfulness against me (god)), as it would be found forever in making covenants against my (god) eternal seen promise that I have forever with Abraham thy fore father. - 8 Then, those that would desire thy (Israel) death and true destruction. They (the heathen) shall snare thee (Israel) and chase thee (Israel) and remove thee (Israel) in parts of thy land, until: Thou (Israel) can’t run and hide from my (god) oath, any longer and forever. - 9 And then, thou O Israel. Thou shalt turn unto me (god) with all of thy seen to me (god), true heart, forever. And I (god) will, set thee, then forever, - 10 As forever set into all of thy (Israel) biblical true land of promise, that is found unto thee (Israel) from me eternally forever. - 11 And that faithful true promise of me forever. It is found unto thee forever, as it is given of me (god) unto you (Israel), eternally forever and ever seen, and true, forever. - 12 Therefore, ye (Israel) shall not break my (god) word, as it is found recorded in the christian bible, as being Exodus 23:32. - - 13 - 14 - 15 23:32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. - 16 23:33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee. - - 17 Those things, O Israel. They are eternally found true, as true between me (god) and thee (Israel), forever kind. And they are true, as I (god) have declared them true unto thee (Israel), forever. - 18 And those kindly things, that are spoken of old and of now. All of those things, they are all spoken unto thee, and are spoken even unto thee, in this generation, and forever. - 19 And I (god) do declare those things forever, as being eternally true as I am true forever, as saith me (god), eternally forever and ever kind. -- ------------- 20 E-784RW 9-11-2009AD / roger Wallace author / roger dale Wallace author / Washington post / haaretz / wordpress / blogger / end time prophecy / prophecy / Christianity / a prophecy for pope Benedict XVI / oral Roberts / benny hinn / Infolive / ynet / The judgment of the nations by roger dale Wallace / The god of truth by roger dale Wallace / thevillagecarpenter.info / The god of truth ISBN 978-1-60585-521-9 - - - -

18. UN = Terrorist Appeasing Org.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

19. Imagine: Gaza files complaints for every 2 bombs dropped
Realist   (09.12.09)
...by Israel. They would still be filing.
20. fired to the Western Galilee; from where?
observer   (09.12.09)
as the UNIFIL mandate doesn't include investigating the Israeli side, then those rockets must have been from the most most northern South Litani side.
21. regular violations are stronger than an incidental one
observer   (09.12.09)
IAF regular overflights are violation of 1701. Israel remains stronger.
22. Can the UNO be trusted ?
Ron B. ,   Lod   (09.12.09)
It is the duty of every State, not only Israel, to defend its citizens – Its absolute duty. Only Israel has the right to decide what is best for the protection of its citizens. Three years after the Libanese war ended has Security Council Resolution 1701 fully been implemented? and can Israel trust UNIFIL ? Condemning Israel is easy but doesn’t bring solutions. Only a clear, fair and objective approach of the painful Israelo-Arab problem will have a chance to solve it as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi5c8
23. Something strange about this rocket attack
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, USA   (09.12.09)
I find the timing of this attack very strange and rumors that someone was paid to fire the rockets. The question is who gains from this, while Hezbollah is alittle crazy they are not stupid and Iran is trying to stop attacks for now until UN talks are over. Israel is the real PR winning in this but why would they pay to have someone attack them, when there are thousands willing to do it for free.
24. Appropriate Israeli reply for now...
Greywolf ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (09.12.09)
... However the outlaws and terror groups in Lebanon are playing with fire and has been doing so for decades... Their ego trips are beyond beliefs and are nothing but legends in their own minds... I just hope that next time the IDF goes after them, the rest of the world would keep their traps shut, Europen in particular, so the IDF do not take any prisoners and do not leave a stone unturned until these scumbags in lebanon are exterminated and hassounah nasrallah's head is served on a platter to those who lost loved ones because of him...
25. 21 -observer
RGalut ,   Hales   (09.12.09)
there would be no need for overflights if hezbulah would disarm...and stop terror activities--- can't expect Israel to lay down and let hezbulah punnel israel with rockets and mortors.... had this kind of thing happened in europe ... hezbulah would have been rooted out...yet Israel is told to tolerate it..... kinda one sided
26. lol No Mention then of Constant Zionist Transgressions
RJBH ,   Methil   (09.12.09)
27. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.12.09)
Everything old is Nour again. The United Nations is determined to be anti-Jewish and anti-Israel -- for heaven's sake, they passed a resolution equating Zionism (the nationalist movement of the Jewish people to return to their ancient homeland) with racism. Therefore, any resolution concerning Israel passed by the United Nations is ridiculous on its face and Israel need not be bound by such resolutions. After all -- did not the United Nations extend "observor" status to the PLO? What kind of NONSENSE is that? Of all the terrorist groups in the world, of all the nationalist movements in the world, only the Palestinians get quasi-nation status. The United Nations is absurd. Israel should withdraw from this less-than-august body. The quicker, the better.
28. #27
(09.12.09)
If Israel does not want to obey what the rest of the worls wants (UN), then move to another planet. Jews are no-one special Sarah, just the propaganda you spew forth!
29. Israeli citizens should be complaining !
Gene G ,   Raleigh, USA   (09.12.09)
This was an obvious false flag by Israel to instigate a conflict. The UN knows this game all too well by now. Shame on the Israeli government and Mossad.
