While Iran has centrifuges and uranium ore it can make nukes. Bombing would destroy Iran's reactor and many of the centrifuges but most likely not all since they are buried underground and it could build more centrifuges. Destroying the reactor would stop Iran from using plutonium and slow down the number of nukes they make but they could still use uranium it just takes twice as much. I don't see Iran making nukes for atleast 5 yrs because of pressure from Russia and Iran needs newer aircraft first.

I think we have seen already that Iran has no intention on giving up work on its desire to develop nukes. Iran desperately wants to be a regional superpower and global military power and the only way to achieve that is with nukes. The Iranian nuclear reactor will be going online very soon and hit it when its online you risk spreadng radiation accross the deserts of the Middle East to get blow in the wind That was the urgency of destroying Saddams reactor because it had to be done before it went online. Iran knows this and the stalling isn't about getting the nuke its about bringing everything online so in the hope the men at the top in the US & Israel will say its to risky to do anything now. The longer we leave this the better the Iranian technology is going to get to make it harder. Their offensive missiles get more advanced & harder for Israels missile defense systems to shoot down. The more weapons Iran will either develop or buy such as the S300 which is one of the most advanced anti aircraft systems in the world. Iran is working on a spy satelitte program so if they can spy on either tiny Israel or an Amererican fleet in the Gulf ( both small areas to keep track on ). Also the longer we wait the less momentum there is to do anything ,, we have waited this long without doing anything so lets just wait longer we have the time. Before they know it Iran will be testing its first nuke. Then the politicians will say back to the drawing board Iran has nukes now so what should our new goals be? Obama himself has ruled out military action, it was one of his campaign promises and why he is so desperate to talk sanctions. He wants to stall through tough talk & sanction threats and take it to the point where the military option is no longer viable so it removes military action. One less hard decision for him to make now he can use diplomacy till 2012 without any pressure to take military action if diplomacy doesn't work.
