31. Obama is an empty suit
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.19.09)
A one-term wonder (unless he is impeached first). No, the American electorate has seen the light. That is why Obama's approval rating has dropped 38% since his election. You know, Americans really are not terribly well disposed towards Arabs and Moslems. We know damn well who blew up the Marine Barracks in Beirut; we know who blew up the United States Embassies in Kinshasa and Nairobi; we are perfectly well aware of who blew a hole into the USS Cole; we know exactly who is responsible for the missile attack on the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia; most especially we know full well who flew airplanes into the Pentagon and the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Irrespective of what this crazy president is doing, the American people do not want to extend hands in friendship across the water to Arabs and Moslems. Obama has encountered a serious disconnect with the American voting public. We do not want to make nice with Arabs and Moslems. We trust Israel. Israel has never betrayed us. The math is easy. Too bad Obama is so damned dense that he cannot see the forest for the trees. Hang on, Israel. Obama is history. Already.
32. #27 Jack: The Obama America
Thomas   (09.19.09)
After backstabbing Honduras, Israel, Poland, Czech Rep. there will be very few countries left which will be wanting to be with YOUR overrated black America. Enjoy your "educated, net based" youth, all rabid socialist according to you - but try to comprehend the new reality: nobody cares what your Messiah thinks. Neither does the N. Koreans, Russians, Iranians, Chavez, and Israel. You can stuff it.
33. Why doesn't the headline read;
Le' Faux Jew ,   US   (09.19.09)
"First Black president Barrack Obama fires Diane Humetewa (Hopi), first American Indian woman appointed as state Attorney General / Arizona" Didn't hear much about it did you? Thank you for that.
34. obama criticism
bri ,   phil usa   (09.19.09)
comes mostly from israel and its supporters in america not good in future.
35. 27...u are full of the same crap as Carter
U Don't Even Know   (09.20.09)
Don't try to scare people with your "sound like you know" bullshit. You are the fringe. MANY of the polls today are done on line where the computer savvy 18- 45 yr olds, um like me, get their information. Further, it is not required to be a religious nut to NOTsupport Obama. I am NOT even religious...just not interested in a nanny state that precludes opportunity to those willing to work for it.
36. Excellent article
Brod ,   USA   (09.20.09)
This is an excellent article and a Must Read by government leaders. Netanyahu and his government will do well by standing up against people like the AntiSemite Baker. Israel must be united, resolute and strong and should tell the world of AntiSemites and Islamist-Jihadists led by Satan, NO to their usurpation of the Land of Israel and NO to crusading Jihadism on Israel.
37. strength
kate ,   atlanta USA   (09.20.09)
please look to the US under Reagan. This was strength and the Soviet Union fell. This ushered in real peace that was subseqently squandered.
38. NOBAMA!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.20.09)
39. Absolutly right, hussein obama is a disaster to America
Guy   (09.21.09)
Israel and the rest of the free world. How he managed to foll all those idiots is beyond explanation. Our only friends in America is the Christain Right. Forget about the liberal-leftist-progressive-socalist so called Jews.
40. 29..noone says all Americans support....
(09.21.09)
Israel rather than terrorists, just the ones without shit for brains...
41. Why would a great man like Shamir ban a Torah-true Jew...
Simcha ,   NY   (09.21.09)
from Knesset? Like he banned Rabbi Kahane.
42. Highlight Jewish rights according to international law
Dr Dan Gilaadi   (09.23.09)
If Israel stresses its rights according to international law instead of concealing them, the all-important standing up to international and US pressure will be much easier: http://www.justicenow4israel.com/ www.mythsandfacts.org
43. Say NO to Obama
Dick ,   Kirkland,Washington   (09.23.09)
Stand tall. Stay the course. Obama does not represent the American people.
44. 34. Of course Israel supporters do not support Obama
(09.23.09)
as they understand right from wrong. Just as supporters of humanity do not support Hugo Chavez...
45. Re: DK NYC USA
Phil ,   Los Angeles USA   (09.30.09)
This president like all others will be gone in 4 years. Each President has had their own policies that they claim reflect those of the American people, who evidently have no interest in being involved in the rest of the world. 9/11 has been largely forgiven and forgotten under Obama. Israel has been around for 20 times the length of the USA. What makes you think that they give a hoot about this latest "Johnny Come Lately" president's offering in the Mid Eastern situation? The point is that most of the aggression towards Israel has been to spite the USA, as most Arabs and Iranians see Israel as the footprint of the USA in the Mid-East. And if you have ever been to the Mid East, Mr DK, you would know that Arabs and Iranians HATE Americans. Try to see beyond your NYC skyline.
46. Justice Now 4 Israel
Mr. Poswell ,   Israel   (10.02.09)
Your column shows an excellent attitude that unfortunately is missing in so many present day politicians. However, Mr. Shamir, there is an important part of the argument for Israeli sovereignty that deserves our attention: International law fully backs the right of Israel to Judea, Samaria, Gaza, Golan, and of course all of Jerusalem. That still legal international law includes the League of Nations Mandate Agreement, the San Remo Conference, and the 1924 US-Great Britain Treaty. The United Nations, as we know, is bound to respect all agreements reached before its inception. A group of reputable Israeli lawyers with Justice For Israel Now have gathered all the legal evidence necessary to "file a case in the United States against the US Government's continued violations of the Treaties that recognize Israel's rights to its internationally recognized legal borders, the prohibition against ceding any land belonging to the Jewish National Home, and supporting the right of Jewish settlement within those internationally recognized borders". These concepts are pretty obvious to Israelis, but many foreign leaders appear oblivious to their own countries' legal commitments regarding Israel, and how they are violating them. And they need to be made fully aware of this. Please, Mr. Shamir, visit the Justice For Israel Now website and see how private individuals - among them Howard Grief, Mark B. Kaplan, and Michael Snidecor - have taken on this project to support Israel's case against those who want to partition your tiny country. Their website has it all laid out for anyone who wants to familiarize himself with this project, including a Question and Answer section. I encourage everyone to see that there is a strong legal argument for Israel's sovereignty over all of its land. Marcella (09.18.09) Recommend this talkback click here 4.
