How sad and terrible it is that so many in Israel refuse to take off their blinders and accept that over its 60+ years Israel has done terrible things to the people who were living in the Holy Land when we Jews decided we wanted their lands for ourselves. What did we expect? DId we expect the Palestinians to just leave and willingly hand over their homes and lands to us? Now we cannot stand it when we are charged with war crimes against those who resist our continuous occupation. Yes, they have done terrible things to us but consider the reasons. Would we behave any differently if we lived under a brutal occupation for decades and watched everything we loved being handed to people from another part of the world? I think not. In fact we might behave even more terribly against our occupiers. So take off the blinders and start thinking differently. End the damnable occupation. Get out of ALL of the territories that were occupied in 1967 attempt to make some sort of peace with the people we drove out in 1948 and 1967. If Israel wants peace then act like it.

Israel should launch a public investigation to determine the charges that the Goldstone commission was denied entry to Israel to investigate the Israeli perspective with respect to possible war crimes in Gaza. If it should be revealed that the refusal to cooperate was part of a "cover-up" on our part, the parties in our government responsible should be exposed and punished. If we have nothing to hide vis a vis our defensive policies and feel they are justified / required (as I do) then we can only harm ourselves (as we apparently have) by rebuffing those who attempt to collect data and report findings.
