Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.24.09)
The Swedish foreign ministry is an ass. Or perhaps they are too afraid of their nasty and violent Islamic population. Raoul Wallenberg, of blessed memory, must be spinning in his grave. For the record, in addition to the United States and France, delegations from Argentina, Australia, Britain, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy and New Zealand left the room. Looks like Ahmedinejad was preaching only to the choir. His comment about "prohibited weapons" was beyond ridiculous, in light of the fact that Iran is known to have used chemical and biological weapons against the Kurds and against Iraq. Oh well. Just another fun day at the UN -- useless nitwits.
2. OBVIOUS SENSE OF DESPAIR........#1
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (09.24.09)
Had you not written I would have done it on your behalf,Sarah. The moment someone or a country says slightly in favour of Iran, you jump to abuse them. This has now become a monotony. How much abuses are going to be rendered and believing yourself to be the only ones being right? I initially thought you were having some kind of responsible attitude when it comes to politics, but you sound a low grade useless person indeed. And to tell you the truth keep your abusive language ready for disposing off for several head of state as President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad will make you do that prior to his departure to Iran.
3. Ahmadinejad & Israel
Robert Carey ,   Brisbane, Australia   (09.24.09)
1. He has never called for the annihilation of Israel. This seems to be a deliberate attempt at an interpretation to perpetuate the world's sympathy toward Israel. 2. So what if he denies the holocaust? Are you all so thin skinned as to be shaken by someone you know is wrong? If you believe it that's all that matters. 3. Isn't it time Israel stopped using their treatment by the Nazis as an excuse to treat Palestinians the same way?
4. Sarah #1, Correction
Khaled ,   Lebanon   (09.24.09)
Just to clear something up, Iran didn't use chemical weapons on Iraq and the Kurds, it was the other way around. Saddam Hussein was the one who used these weapons against Iranians, Kurds, and even Iraqis. Please make sure to check your facts before posting them like that. People tend to believe things way too easily...
5. DINNER JACKET WAS OH SO READSONBLE IN HIS SPEECH...

THAT IS IF YOU ARE LUNATICALLY INCLINED.
6. #1 COMPLETELY AGREE............SWEDEN'S "REASONING" A JOKE.
Taipan ,   Australia   (09.24.09)
Thanks for your thoughtful, ongoing comments, which in this instance, point to the ludicrous nature of Sweden's behaviour in the UN. The "criteria" set is nothing short of ridiculous. Unfortunately, the mentality displayed by the Swedes is only defensible by those who seek to lay blame for the Palestinian situation - entirely upon Israel. And that illusory premise is enjoyed by those by anti-Semites who use the Palestinian "cause" as a convenient , legitimate vehicle to mask their bigotry. No reasonable, sensible person accepts the problems in Israel are solely due to the Israelis. Yet we never , ever see or hear one word of detraction or admonishment about the often disgusting, barbaric behavior of the Palestinians: as if they bear no responsibility for their own actions - not one iota. Sweden may have capitulated , but thankfully many countries, including my own see things very differently. Iran's leadership is a disgrace and deserves complete and utter contempt.
7. The "Walkout"
Shlomo Kamra   (09.24.09)
Ahmedianjad simply told the truth, plainly and honestly. Israelis and jews don't like hearing the truth that they are not the cowboys wearing the white hats afterall. If jews just told the truth, admit that they kill people because they are arabs and Palestinians, want all the land in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and a bit of Egypt, have 100+ nuclear weapons, control the US politicians, then at least people may give them a grain of respect. AJ is an angel compared to a jew!
8. to Carey # 3
Ed ,   Mexico   (09.24.09)
1. he HAS called for the annihilation of Israel. the fact that u dont speak farsi doesnt mean he didnt. 2. well... ur right on this one, we jews shouldn't care if he denies it, the problem is ignorant people tend to believe ignorant lies. 3. here u crossed the line. Israel treating plestinians the same way nazis treated the jews? have u no shame? where are the gas chambers in gaza or wb? how many palestinians have starved? if israel had wanted to annihilate the palestinian population, or even ethnically cleansed it, it would have to lift 2 fingers and thats it. and u know it! this last comment of yours really made me sick. its antisemitism... pure and simple... yes, putting israelis and nazis on the same moral ground IS antisemitic.
9. #3 Point by point.
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (09.24.09)
1. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called, on several occasions, for Israel to be wiped off the pages of history - literal translation from Farsi. The meaning in this case is quite clear, in that he also clarified that all Israeli Jews who cannot trace their family lines to living in the land previously under Muslim rule are, in fact, illegal invaders. So yes, he is indeed calling for the destruction of Israel, the murder or forced eviction of almost all Israeli Jews (here's a funny historic titbit - Hitler first said the Jews of Europe would be exiled to faraway Siberia). It's been the state policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the Islamic Revolution - Israel is an illegal zionist entity that must disappear, and be restored to Muslim hands. No one ever hid it. 2. No, it's not just a matter of beliefs - it's a matter of conspiracy theories and incitement to hatred. When Holocaust deniers claim that the Holocaust never happened, was a myth, or was exaggerated, they immediately point to those who supposedly invented it, and profited from the "victim card". That immediately follows by cries of Jewish control of history, media, world, money... as AJ himself had in this very speech at the UN, when he talked of how much influence "Zionists" had in Western countries. It's called incitement to hatred. That's kinda sorta illegal. 3. If you believe that Israelis are doing to Palestinians what Nazis did to Jews, then you haven't the foggiest connection with reality. Nazis conducted organized and methodical genocide. Palestinians, in contrast, have grown vastly in populace under Israeli control. Comparing Israel to Nazis are born from ignorance and incitement to hatred. This attempts to paint Israel as an amorphous, world-grasping evil entity - rings an anti-Semitic bell, I hope? Those are our problems with AJ. There's legitimate criticism. There's politics. And then there's incitement and dehumanization - which lead, time and time again, to disastrous results.
10. #3 - delusional nuclear armed state
Dmitry ,   NY   (09.24.09)
Robert, your perspective is mistaken because your facts are incorrect. 1. He did call for destruction of Israel (of course, he can't say Israel so he uses "Zionist regime" phrase favored also by Hizbollah, another peace loving organization. 2. Imagine for a second that Indonesia had nuclear weapons and was railing against Australia for its disposession of aboriginal people, calling it "fascist white regime". Now imagine it had ballistic missiles that could reach Sydney and Melbourne. Finally, imagine an Indonesia-funded army stationed in Tazmania and carrying out attacks on behalf of the nuclear-wielding fanatics. Now what do you think? Unfortunately, Ahmadinejad is crazy enough to use the nukes and by denying the Holocaust he is trying to obtain the moral right to use them. 3. Palestine issue needs to get resolved with a 2 state solution but there is no comparison between Nazis and even the most evil thing done by Israelis. Your comparison is offensive - if your relatives died in gas chambers, you would be singing a different tune.
11. # 3's comments
ernie ,   florida usa   (09.24.09)
This is from the Guardian: "Israel should be wiped off map, says Iran's president | World news ...27 Oct 2005 ... Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is more hardline than his predecessor, ... five years.."
12. #3It was refreshing to see ALL the delegates walking out on
One who saw it all. ,   USA   (09.24.09)
this small monkey look alike of a man. When the cameras were panned around, there were only about 30 people left in the entire room, and most of them were not even listening to him and were reading, or talking amongst themselves. He is a has been, and the world leaders have taken this oppurtunity to let him know that they are through with him and his foul mouthed speeches.
13. #4 .. wrong, wrong wrong
truth and jsutice ,   zion   (09.24.09)
it is true that Iraq used poisin gas first both on Iran and its own population. But there is proof that the Iranians used gas in response and in one battle, killed hundreds of boys who they mercelious forced to fight for them despite some being as young as 14. #4 , you can lie for the iranians all you want but everyone, including Sarah, knows that you are real the liar. As far as i am concered the subscription of teenage boys, placing them at the front lines with no training and old equipment is no better than using gas. it just shows the thinking of the regime you are trying to defend. And now they back at killing teenagers who peacefully demostrate for peace.
14. THANKS, KHALED..........................#4
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (09.24.09)
In my haste to confront Sarah,I almost overlooked what she had written about chemical weapons used by Saddam. She,obviously,is exposed to the likes of Fox News and other Zionist infected news media, but at times, she overdoes it.Thanks once again.
15. SAME NEWS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. MAY I USE DIRTY WORDS, YNET ?

16. the iranian freak
Barney ,   USA   (09.24.09)
man, the Jew haters really come out of the woodwork on this one. You can't argue with a sick mind. These neonazis are brainwashed and eaten up with hatred. their payback is they live their life consumed by hate which is a punishment in and of itself. as far as why does it matter to deny the holocaust if you know it is a lie. it is wrong that is why. it makes a mockery of the innocent people slaughtered to the anguish of those who had family who perished and those who survived. Imagine if the President of the US got up and said we never dropped an atomic bomb on Japan. What's wrong with that you know it isn't true? You Jew haters are convoluted in your thinking and may you enjoy that is waste the rest of your life consumed in your hatred. great legacy to leave behind
17. No surprises here from Swedistan
cas reader   (09.24.09)
Sweden has already become so anti-semitic that they cannot distinguish anymore between good and bad. Swedish morality has really sunk to an all time low. Sweden together with Spain are simply Jew haters.
18. #3 Ahmadinejad & Israel
Taipan ,   Australia   (09.24.09)
"1. He has never called for the annihilation of Israel. This seems to be a deliberate attempt at an interpretation to perpetuate the world's sympathy toward Israel." He has called for Israel to be "wiped from the map on more than one occasion". He is a recalcitrant Holocaust denier. Denouncing his comments is a deliberate attempt to refute lies, uphold established facts. -------------------------------------------------- "2. So what if he denies the holocaust? Are you all so thin skinned as to be shaken by someone you know is wrong? If you believe it that's all that matters." Insensitive. So, we say your mother is a whore and you're OK with that? I think not. We say it once and you shrug it off .Repeatedly until people start to believe it - No Robert, I dont think so. -------------------------------------------------- "3. Isn't it time Israel stopped using their treatment by the Nazis as an excuse to treat Palestinians the same way?" Ridiculous comment. No attempt to make a credible comparison. If Robert, Israelis were to conduct themselves as "Nazis", there would not be one Palestinian left alive to complain. Why not accept that there are problems in Israel and that Israel is quite entitled to defend itself against accusations that it is more or less, entirely responsible for the mess that the Palestinians find them selves in? The Palestinians are the worlds greatest basket case, the world's worst neighbors. Even their Arab brothers dont want them , happy to leave them 'stranded' for 60 years at the hands of the evil Israeli "Nazis" - rather than do the right thing and assimilate them. Your flippant treatment of the situation is thoughtless; unfair.
19. red line?
david   (09.24.09)
i have only to wonder what he would have to do in order to cross the swedish minister's "red line". ?say he takes out a gun and starts shooting people. or if he uses only a pistol is it still within the red line?
20. Sweden has a pretty low "moral red lines"
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (09.24.09)
nothing will deter them, from claiming to have "red lines" when in fact they have none
21. To Mahmood
Allan ,   London, England   (09.24.09)
For starters, do you know what the EDL are? Perhaps you should not be in England and should go back to your country as you obviously favour the racist Iranians over western and british values. You and your friends support a regime, the shiite regime (i shall not dignify calling them Iranians or Persians) but this Shiite regime, kills its own people for opposing their views, imprisons Bah'ai's for beleiving in a different religion, hanging gay people, simply for existing, tries to bully Bahrain into submission and now wants to see another country wiped off the map. If that is the kind of people you support, you should most definately go and live there and get out of my country, since you have no concept of right and wrong.

No. You are wrong. Please be sure to check your facts before posting. Here you go: http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/iran/cw.htm http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/iran/bw.htm http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/news/iran/2003/iran-030515-bw.htm
23. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.24.09)
Iran's head of state denies the Holocaust. My parents are concentration camp survivors. Iran's head of state promises to "wipe the Zionist entity from the map." I am a citizen of the State of Israel. I have a very responsible and reasoned attitude towards politics and international diplomacy. I just wish Iran would have an equally responsible and reasoned attitude. Clearly they do not. Although the current regime isn't going to last much longer, so when all hell breaks loose in the Islamic Republic of Iran, I will accept your humble apology quite graciously.
24. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.24.09)
Why, thank you very much for your kind words. Not to gild the lily, but your analysis is spot-on. Ahmedinejad's day will come. Sooner rather than later.
25. is it the same as a ' blind leading the blind?'
ZORRO   (09.24.09)
When an idiot makes a speech, other idiots join the fray and listen --- being on the same wavelength, they connect
26. Sweden is so full of anti-Semiticism and muslums that they
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.24.09)
wouldn't recognize a dead Jew from a rock. They gave up their intelligence long ago, traded it for concrete to build mosques.
27. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.24.09)
Kudos to you for your excellent and articulate point-by-point analysis!
28. TO SARAH B
Alex ,   Stockholm-Sweden   (09.24.09)
The world is fed up with you and your brethren s. Get that into your thick skull. We respect what ahmadinejad had to say, because it's the truth. If the holocaust wasn't a lie, then why on earth have you imposed law's in the EU to make it hard for people to question it???the more that you go on with this kind of behavior, the more you will lose your ground among nation's(hardly doubt you have any credibility left)
29. What about free speach.
Daniel ,   San Jose CA, USA   (09.24.09)
First off let me say I am not fan of Iran or Lybia. I really do think the elections were rigged and I don't agree with the statements made by either leader. Thank you #9 for your analysis. I couldn't have done any better. My father served in WWII along with my uncles. I knew veterans who entered Germany following the war and saw first hand the victimis, mass graves, and the distruction. To deny such a horrible thing is uncalled for. Sweden as odd as they may be set certain criteria for which they would walk out. Others simply walked in protest. For better or worse this meeting was held in the US. We have freedom of speach. We may not like what someone says but they have a right to say it. He is a nut case. I think Iran is ready for change. Not fueled by anyone on the outside. We see the descent happening from within. I pray for all those with the courage enough to stand up for change, even though they are being killed for it. They have more courage than I.
30. TO Alex,Sweden
George ,   Toronto,Canada   (09.24.09)
I am fed up with your kind. Having had a major part of my family (aunts and children ) shipped to Auschwitz in June 1944 from where they have disappeared. Where do you think they have ended up!? On the Moon? There is certified German data about their gassing! You should be ashamed for spewing such lies!.
