I know it was a rip off. I paid the same day 49 Dollars for an excursion from TA to Jerusalem and back. I do not live in Israel. I wanted to see it, so I had to pay some bakshish.

the arabs were given dignity after the 6 day war. dayan and the left allowed the arabs to retain control of the temple mount. the arabs would not do that for the jews, christians, hindus etc. that is why the arabs have no fear of israel who bends backwards to allocate arabs their rights. if jews had done the same for ramadan, it would make headline news all over the world. come on israel, wake up before it's too late

who were these tourists? why do we know nothing about them? why was a police force in their company? what business did they have in that location? were the muslim authorities informed of their visit and were any formal arrangements made between the muslim authorities and the tourist group's representatives? this article is highly uninformative and should be totally withdrawn.

And close the Temple Mount to all Muslims, say for the next 19 years. This is not a Muslim holy site, never has been. Every reputable Islamic scholar states the exact same thing.

When a Muslim is worshipping, he is standing or sitting or kneeling. He is not throwing. These were thugs, not worshippers.

He is coming! Jerusalem will remain the undivided capital of Israel and the Jewish people. Then Jews, Christians and Muslims will ALL worship there in peace.

Something is wrong if a group of tourists require a police escort to see the temple mount. If we have to inform the Wakf for just such a visit, then I think its time to rethink the Wakf having any control of that site. We came into Jerusalem so that all with peaceful intention may go to the Temple Mount, and worship as he/she pleases.

I'll gladly pass and advise all to do the same for the sake of sanity. the skinheads in the USA act about the same too. what's the diference? NONE!

The question is why unearth police forces would accompany tourist into the Mosque.... Clearly it was pure provocation! and nothing else!

My husband is a police officer. The police accompany all tourist groups into "sensitive" areas since the Second Intifada (not just the Temple Mount but parts of the Old City also) because of Muslim attacks on non-Moslems.
