11 Talkbacks for this article
1. Arab foods not good for tourists!
Adi Dan ,   Lod, Israel   (09.30.09)
Eat kosher prepared with clean hands & fresh ingredients!
2. Were the tourists Jews or Christians? Either would be target
Rivkah   (09.30.09)
ed by Muslims who see them as infidels. Best not to eat with or from Muslims in the Middle East unless one is a Muslim.
3. U need a new editor, headline VERY misleading
AmateurHour ,   USA   (09.30.09)
You headline implies that the tourists got poisoned in Israel. ONLY after reading a few paragraphs does one see it happened in a Bedouin tent IN JORDAN! Replace your editor, even high school newspapers in the States are better than this!
4. Got their just deserts
Ken ,   NY   (09.30.09)
It's rather funny
5. good PR Israel, let them stay in Israel
ghostq   (09.30.09)
and enjoy send them the metzada zipori beit sheen and other cool places.
6. Some of these talkbacks...
Lauren ,   Israel   (09.30.09)
are absolutely stupid. Telling people not to eat Arab food - didn't any of you read the end of the article? French tourists got food poisoning in Israel too, from Israeli food. For godsakes - stop being so hateful. I cannot count how many times I have gotten food poisoning from Israeli restaurants in the past 39 years that I live here.
7. to #6 for your information
ghostq   (09.30.09)
those french tourists ate Bedouins food on the Israeli side for real not making this up, they don't store the food in cool places and let it fermented in the sun so you get food poisening, don't buy food from bedouins in the summer, that's all.
8. Food Poisoning
NYC Girl   (09.30.09)
Unfortunately, this nasty problem can happen virtually anywhere. In fact, I once read an article that said if people knew what goes on in the kitchens of even some of the most upscale restaurants, they would probably never eat out again.
9. 100 norwegian tourists
debbie ,   israel   (09.30.09)
AMATEURHOUR is right. The title indicates that they got food poisoning in Israel. That was my impression before I read the first few lines, only by chance. A lot of people only read headlines. There are a lot of misleading headlines in the ynet and in the newspapers.
10. Misleading headline - bad editor
(09.30.09)
I entirely agree with #3's comment. Please improve the English ynet news.
11. they should have stuck to salmon
martin ,   stevenage uk   (09.30.09)
some of our eating establishments are a disgrace. a top restaurant in the uk suffered food poisoning from shell fish. i caught dysentary in italy many years ago, the water was then undrinkable. every now and again cholera strikes italy = again due to shellfish. not for nothing are the delectable vacuum cleaners of the sea responsible for food poisoning
