Although I'm a big advocate of freedom of speech & religion, I'd like to look in a positive way to this situation. I can understand, as an outsider, Police Chief Aharon Franco's comments but as a public figure he has to be a little bit more diplomatic & politically correct. On a good note, I like the fact that J'lem's Arabs are considering themselves as Israeli citizens seeking for equality as a minority, which by the way very normal situation & happens in all countries all over the world. That is the correct question. The answer there is no. They were denied freedom to live, work, worship in Arab countries, were considered a plague by Arabs around them, their testimony was worth less than Arab women, and they were forced to pay a dhimmi tax.
