This week the senior religious judge at Cairo's prestigious Al Azhar college issued a declaration that the full veil for women is un-islamic and in fact (which educated non-muslims have known for a long time) is a primitive cultural custom dating from pre-Islamic Arab society. Hamas are inventing lots of their own religious rules, but basically its about controlling women ever more stringently. Perhaps the women are complaining more loudly about the miserable life they see their children living under Hamas rule and have to be "put in their place"? Of course the Gazans can always revert to donkey transport, and leave the evil western inventions of motorcycle and car out their lives!

Anyhow, I wonder. Are women allowed to drive them?
