31. 2 can play the same game
Moish ,   Jerusalem   (10.08.09)
Time to send all Arab patients to Augusta Victoria and Mukassed. No more Hadassah or Shaarei Tzedek for them. Let Arab doctors practice in their own hospital. Once again one more case of them biting the hand that feeds them just like when Tibi assaulted the security guard at Hadassah
32. This is a racist remark
Lioness ,   Israel   (10.08.09)
and if it would have been said by a Jewish doctor about an Arab all hell we would not hear the end of it. This dortor should be fired or sent to Jenin
33. What would happen if a Jewish doctor .....
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (10.08.09)
Refused to treat an Arab patient by the name of Arafat, Haniyya, Al-Zahar or Mashal? There would be an outcry from MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi and other Arab "leaders" and the doctor would be fired! Fire him!
34. #9
akh ,   Israel   (10.08.09)
Marlene control yourself- or tather your prejudice. Obviously you have no idea that Jewish and Arab Israelis who work together- work together brilliantly- in every proffession. In my personal experience alone, my husbands life was saved more than once and, and sustained by the brilliant team at Hillel Yaffo I Hadera, and the staff was a great mix of profeesionals that were Arab, Jewish.I work side by side with both Arabs and Jews . We all need the jobs, and are happy to do them. This Doctor in Afula di himself and the hospital, and the patints and her family a great injustice. We'd all be better off not to turn to you for any of your business wih your attitude.
35. Get Over It!
riki ,   LF   (10.08.09)
He made a joke. It wasn't meant to be heard by the family or patient and he apologized. I was living in Calif when a Jewish doctor working in an ER refused to treat some jerk who came in with swastika tattoos. That wasn't a joke and he really did refused treatment. But, I wouldn't vilify that guy, either. Doctors are human.
36. #26 - Yeah, I hear that too when they treat Pal terrorists
William ,   Israel   (10.08.09)
Israeli doctors really must be dedicated to the "lie" of professionalism...to be so focused on saving lives rather than emotions while treating Gazan patients (even though they return to kill him in a suicide bombing), treating Palestinian terrorists (often in the next room of his Jewish victims), and accepting complex surgical cases of Arab children from places like Iraq....often for free. You got to hand it to those Israeli doctors, they had me fooled....but you saw right through them. Good for you.
37. 4 times isn't a joke
Melanie ,   NYC, USA   (10.08.09)
(1) "I hope he isn't related" (2) "Will you take the case for me" (3) "Related or not I have a problem with your family name" (4) Even after the patient's daughter attempted to convince him, she had to ask another doctor to see her mother Get this guy out of the Jewish hospitals - inaction is bad enough, let's not wait for worse.
38. This is pure racism, anti-Jewish racism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anat ,   Israel   (10.08.09)
39. Let him go assist that Scandinavian Doctor in Gaza
Alan ,   SA   (10.08.09)
40. Racism...?
Rickie ,   Porto Alegre, Brazil   (10.08.09)
In 1997 an army (russian) doctor refused to see a ethiopian... That's not the same?
41. This is not surprising. These is what the Jewish Israeli
Dan ,   USA   (10.08.09)
left has produced. If you want equality among Jews and Arabs here it is. You educated a vile enemy to hurt you in times of crisis.
42. He has that right. He is Arab and hates Jews
Frank ,   USA   (10.08.09)
43. Hey Israel, do not forget to employ more Arabs like him.
Charlie ,   USA   (10.08.09)
They will assist you in times of need,
44. Hypocritic Oath Is Optional
riki ,   LF   (10.08.09)
It was abandoned years ago.
45. Whose the racist now? Deport the Arab doctor
Uzi Kattan ,   Cincinnati, Ohio   (10.08.09)
Why do Arabs get away with being anti Jewish while Jews are ostracized for speaking against Arab terror.
46. #1 he for one, you for how many?
observer   (10.08.09)
is that what is called disproportionate reaction?

LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   Safed Israel   (10.08.09)
There once was a Doctor who ; refused to treat a sick Jew ; I'm afraid it's too late for this Doctor irate but his hatred can hardly be new ?
50. Hmmmph!
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (10.09.09)
And this clown actually graduated from medical school? Damn, are the standards THAT low for Arabs? Hello. In the United States, we have to deal with affirmative action (President Obama greatly benefited). For benefit of the uninformed, that's a program whereby the color of your skin is more important than the quality of your brain. As Obama has more than demonstrated. Geez. I thought evening the playing field on an undergraduate level made the playing field even. Obviously, it wasn't good enough in the United States. Perhaps it is not good enough in Israel, either. Take away this idiot's licence to practice medicine. He's no doctor. He's a freakshow. Just kind of like Hussein Obama.
51. The real criminals...
Ari   (10.09.09)
...Are the Israeli media and the liberal Jewish elite who's smear campaign of gossip, lies and libels against Rabbi Meir Kahane had generated such a stupid level of hysteria and hatred. So what if it WAS a child from Rabbi Kahane's family? Would it have been OK for the doctor not to treat him...? But this is precisely the kind of hatred that the leftist media has been peddling since Rabbi Kahane burst on the scene and almost threatened their political hegemony.
52. This doctor is the product of the Israeli left
Cathy ,   USA   (10.09.09)
53. Why does not Israel educate more doctors like him?
Stuart ,   USA   (10.09.09)
They Jews have always helped the enemies who turned against them.
54. Fire that bastard. Jewish doctors fooloshly treat hamas murd
Jae ,   Lynn US   (10.09.09)
murderers and this scrub wont treat someone because of a name? Does anyone have a clue in the establishment? That hospital needs to kick his rear to the curb. he was saving face but saying it was a joke. The ER is comedy central, and it wasnt even comedy. It was hate.
55. Doctor
Rosie ,   Israel   (10.10.09)
"They went to the ER of Afula hospital where Jewish and Arab doctors and nurses work. It's like that everywhere in Israel." Really? In "racist and apartheid State of Israel"? Just imagine a Jewish doctor refrusing to treat a patient with a name like: Bshara, or Salah. Just imagine Mr.Ahmed Tibi in that situation. The same Mr.Tibi who demanded Police officer be fired because he dared to say that Arabs were ungrateful since they hurled previously prepaired stones from their mosque on people praying at The Western Wall. Did anyone hear ONE word from Mr. Tibi regarding this Arab doctor's behaviour?
56. 50
Rosie ,   Israel   (10.10.09)
He IS a doctor, and he is NOT an idiot. He is an Arab Israeli doctor, making a living by working in Israeli Government - run Health System. His behaviour was made possible by Israeli Jewish Liberal Left. Have you heard any of them on the issue? Can you imagine what would have been had it been the other way round? "Racist apartheid State of Israel?" You know what? It seems right.
57. have a problem with Hebrew names, Sir?
Orde Wingate ,   Eretz, Israel   (10.11.09)
then resign and go to an Islamic country, you so-called 'doctor', yalla! Refusing to treat a patient would be reason enough to fire that guy on the spot.
58. Kahane
akh ,   Israel   (10.14.09)
Say you were a Juror who was responsible for deporting a man, leaving his anguished family behind- would you want this mans son to be your waiter? If the waiter asks another waiter to replace him at that table- don't you think that woud be better for both parties?
59. Only way to survive ER work...
Daniel Breslauer ,   Jerusalem   (12.15.10)
Is by knowing how to make cruel jokes. Anyone working in an ER who can't do that won't last very long. I understand why the Kahane family are upset, and it was perhaps a lack of good judgment from the physician, but I wouldn't advocate any steps against the physician. Move on with your lives, everyone.
