1. Only Arabs have this much Chutzpah
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.08.09)
They claim they have the right to block freedom of religion as a religious right. Time to replace our useless Supreme Court as well. They too ignore the basic rights of Jews.
2. You gotta be kidding me
J K ,   NYC, USA   (10.08.09)
Other than Israel's restrictions on the age of the worshipers on the mount, and arresting a provocateur, who else on Israel's side has inflamed tensions? Contrast that with the stone throwing, the fiery sermons, Hamas exhortations and even the PA getting into the act, and anyone with 1/2 a brain can see who is fanning the flames of this current 'crisis'. But of course, 1/2 a brain is about 1/2 too much for most of the world's diplomats and leaders when it comes to Israel. www.tzomet.net
3. Jurisdiction?
B-Money ,   NOLA   (10.08.09)
Whether you like it or not....currently Jerusalem is under Israeli control. The UN has no jurisdiction or legal right to call the shots on the ground in Jerusalem (or anywhere else is Israel for that matter). Both sides should be allowed to worship in a peaceful manner. If Muslims want to incite...bring on the 3rd Intifada, and once it is put down Israel should raze Al-Aqsa and immediately begin construction of the 3rd Temple. I am tired of Muslims acting like Jews should be second class citizens in the Jewish capital. Muslims should be grateful that they are allowed to worship at all at the site of Solomon's Temple, and should show some respect to their Jewish brothers for a change.
4. Ignore the UN
Morris the Jew ,   USA   (10.09.09)
There is ZERO point in listening to the UN on any issue. They are have an automatic pro-muslim anti-Israeli majority in the GA and now in the SC (with Obama as our prez). Israelis -- do whatever you have to do to maintain control of Jerusalem -- period!
5. Goldstone will be asked to lead enquiry on why Jerusalem is
Alan ,   SA   (10.09.09)

6. Islamist-Jihadist usurpers should be kicked out
Brod ,   USA   (10.09.09)
Israel should not tolerate the Islamist-Jihadists in usurping Jerusalem. Israel should kick them out from Jerusalem. They have no business squatting in Jerusalem and usurping Jerusalem from the Jews. Jerusalem is the eternal, indivisible capital-city of Israel since ancient time. NO external entities and states have any business intruding in Israel's internal affairs. The enemy of the Free World are the Islamist-Jihadists. Their belligerence and violence must never be tolerated. They serve a god that tells them to hate and kill. Former Professor of Quranic Interpretations at Al Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, Omar Abdel Rahman, rightly points out that "There is no surah called 'Peace.' Jihad and killing are the head of Islam. If you take them out, you cut off the head of Islam." (p.24, "Islam and Terrorism" [2002] by Mark A. Gabriel, PhD)

8. The other way around
Zak ,   U.S. and A   (10.09.09)
Based off of everything I've been reading, it's the Arabs who are creating tension on the Temple Mount. Once again they're using this sensitive issue to stir emotions by making crazy claims about a supposed synogogue on the TM in order to generate rage throughout the Islamic world. Once again Israel is sitting on its ass instead of going on the offensive and showing proof that the Arabs are using this non-issue in order to create havoc.
9. Beloved Jerusalem, everything is yours
Abdul Qadeer Khan   (10.09.09)
10. Stand Up to the UN Monsters
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (10.09.09)
Jerusalem is the capitol of Israel. The Muslims can leave if they do not like it. To hell with ban-ki moon and the whole UN. Ban them all from Israel.
11. Time to shut down access to all faiths till a reasonable...
Galut ,   Selah   (10.09.09)
sharing araingement is worked out for ALL faiths to be able to worship on top of the mount.... islams dictation that they have exclusive right to regulate who prays and worships there must come to an end !
12. Has Netanyahu yet -
Ralph Haglund ,   Lund, Sweden   (10.09.09)
stopped the Muslim Destruction of the Jewish Temple Mount, or is he too afraid of what Barak would say?
13. Regarding stopping the Judaization of Jerusalem . . .

About 5000 years too late . . .
14. Sheikh Palazzi about Jerusalem
Ron B. ,   Lod   (10.09.09)
The parallelism of Mecca and Jerusalem offers the basis of a solution, as Sheikh Palazzi wisely writes: Separation in directions of prayer is a mean to decrease possible rivalries in management of Holy Places. For those who receive from Allah the gift of equilibrium and the attitude to reconciliation, it should not be difficult to conclude that, as no one is willing to deny Muslims a complete sovereignty over Mecca, from an Islamic point of view -notwithstanding opposite, groundless propagandistic claims - there is not any sound theological reason to deny an equal right of Jews over Jerusalem. To back up this view, Palazzi notes several striking and oft-neglected passages in the Qur'an . One of them (5:22-23) quotes Moses instructing the Jews to "enter the Holy Land (al-ard al-muqaddisa) which God has assigned unto you." Another verse (17:104) has God Himself making the same point: "We said to the Children of Israel: ‘Dwell securely in the Land.'" Qur'an 2:145 states that the Jews "would not follow your qibla; nor are you going to follow their qibla," indicating a recognition of the Temple Mount as the Jews' direction of prayer. "God himself is saying that Jerusalem is as important to Jews as Mecca is to Moslems," Palazzi concludes. His analysis has a clear and sensible implication: just as Muslims rule an undivided Mecca, Jews should rule an undivided Jerusalem. More information at : http://xrl.us/bjheo

16. THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE INTIFADA
meir elazar   (10.09.09)
Every Terrorist Act should be met with the most effective counter-Terror measures that totally undermine their motivations and achieve the exact opposite of their goals. Suicide bombers, infiltrations, planted bombs, etc. from Gaza have resulted in the Blockade which virtually eliminates penetrationsand infiltration from Gaza but also stranges their economy, eliminates movement of people and goods, and imprisons them and deservedly so. With Raed Salah's incitement along with the major damage to Jewish archeological treasures by the Moslem Extremists, the Judaization of Jerusalem along with unification is the most fitting punishment totally undermining the core of the Terrorist's goals. Every terrorist act should be followed by dramatic increase of Jewish building and land acquisition. This would be the greatest kick in their groin that is possible.
17. Abbas the PIECE partner - His silence is deafening
SEE the obvious ,   Jerusalem, ISRAEL   (10.09.09)
As anyone can see, his lack of leadership and lack of HIMSELF being the one demanding truth and restraint shows proof that he can't be trusted as a legitimate PEACE partner.
18. #13 Vered!
Ilana   (10.09.09)
well put!! It sounds so insane to say prevent the Judaization of Jerusalem!!! Prevent the catholization of Rome! Prevent the Islamation of Mecca! Such inventions they come up with. Quite brilliant in an unreal kind of way. Why don't we proclaim such??
19. Why do they need UN help?
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (10.09.09)
This is just more of the, "we're so helpless, please give us support" BS. The islamic peoples of the west bank don't need help from the UN to ease things, they need just a few words from the cleric puppeteers. The people will listen to any word they say, from stop, don't protest, to stage a violent protest while hopping on one foot the whole time, and no, you can't change feet, just one, the whole time.
20. How about UN urged to release Shallit?
