I understand her logic, that if we have no terrorists to release, Hamas won't kidnap soldiers to trade. However, there is a better way. Trials in Israel are always before a judge. There are no jury trials in Israel. Yonath must learn to study history as well as chemistry. Time has proven that to release all prisoners would solve nothing. To the terrorists, capitulation only means weakness which gives them cause to celebrate and then move on to their next demand such as more land etc. I must at the same time commend this woman for having a good dream, however unrealistic, at heart and just as importantly the courage to express it. After reading the comments of Prof.Ada Yonath I came to the conclusion that she is a marvelous scientist and makes me proud that she is Jewish but that at the same time she does not have her feet on the ground, that she is so naive that she, even with such marvelous brain, does not understand what goes around her. It reminded me of another person after 9/11 attack who said "We should shower them with candies and not fight them". This man was unable to understand the arabs. If we follow his advise the arabs would say "let's attack more cities, we get more candies".
