Golan ,   SL   (10.15.09)

The Arab girl in the end is murdered by her family... who were not Palestinians. They were "Jew" Samaritans... I mean Jordanians, we just forgot the star in the flag. Darn it! Where is Props! Props! 35. erdogan and mahmoud
alexi   (10.15.09)
They both have arab wives who wear chadors/ One is a mangement graduate, the other a ph.d in transport systems. Erdogan is not jewish, mahmoud sadly was. Both had islamic school like orthodox judaism except more so. They are taught to hate, and more hate and all non moslems are infidels. One moment please davos' please' one moment' Erdogan is not a k iller. Ahamdinejad was and has 1979 american hostage on his head.Iran under mullahs is a lunatic and Erdogan can kiss my rear end. Whe israel cancels 1 billion in tourism, we;ll see how average turks respond. And the turkish military who are now in bed with islamic erdogan will go to arabs and russia for supplies, not us.
36. General Question
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (10.15.09)
Has anyone ever seen an Arab girl (of the age of the girl in the picture) in fundamentalist Islamofascist Gaza wearing a pink and white striped short-sleeved tee-shirt and without a head-covering? That's what I thought. This is what happens when you don't do enough background research before filming the fiction. Tsk. Tsk. Not that anyone believes you, Mr. Cobanoglu. Your intent was clearly to damage Israel, but the fallout and the repercussions upon Turkey will be worse than you can possibly imagine. They have already started. As they say in the movie biz -- stay tuned!!! Worse is yet to come and, believe me -- it will be very, very bad. So I think you can safely cancel that tuxedo you ordered for the Academy Awards.
37. Gentiles don't need "victimized" Palestinians to spread
usa   (10.15.09)
to spread vicious anti Jewish propaganda and incite passions against Jews. But in all reality it is the leberal Jews and their galut like mentality to want to be loved, loved by peoples and their galut like mentality. End the idiotic, fake policies of "peace" with these so called "Palestnians" and their supporters. The hate for the Jewish people will be greater than ever because we have a state and we defend ourselves and we win.
38. Would the Turks make film about UK soldiers
raping Iraqis? No ,   too coardly!   (10.15.09)
raping Iraqis? No they won't, too coardly!
39. We sure do love Israelis....
Marco ,   Spain   (10.15.09)
But only those with a conscience like Goldstone and Norman Finklestein among thers.
40. How Does It Fell To Be Unfairly Portrayed
World Citizen ,   the world   (10.15.09)
Clearly not all Israeli soldiers are guilty of abusing captives. And in the same way every Palestinian is not a rocket firing freedom fighter. But the Hollywood film industry and main stream print and broadcast media has a long history of painting Arabs and Palestinians with the blackest of brushes. Why are Israelis crying so much? You don't see the US ambassador being hauled on to the carpet in Saudia Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria or Turkey everytime Hollywood releases the latest "every Arab is terrorist" fantasy film.
41. You don't say.
vered ,   israel   (10.15.09)
It just happens to be about Palestinians. Who would have thought the soldiers were not meant to be Israeli? Please stop loving us so much.
42. He meant to say that he loves to hate Israel
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (10.15.09)
Muslim double speak doesn't go unnoticed here

44. To # 29
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (10.15.09)
Hello Anon. You are absolutely right. But to point it out. I have nothing against Kurds and of course, they deserve more rights in Turkey, like all the other minorities do. Kindest regards
45. Israel
Dave ,   USA   (10.15.09)
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU you do not know anything about Israel !! This looks like Turkish military doing to the Kurds and Armenians !!
46. Atilla I saw the movie Ararat and Midnight express too
Davidf Israel ,   New York USA   (10.15.09)
Not to mention Lawrence of Arabia.
47. #29 - Anon, Thank you for your sane response...
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (10.15.09)
... among the otherwise insane responses here. Indeed, the support some Israelis have for the PKK is, in this regard, a perfect example of Israel feeding the hand that bites them. The same also goes for ASALA. All this being said, however, Jews also took up arms against the Ottomans and their excesses and atrocities during WWI. Then again, so did the Turkish forces under Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Nevertheless, the threat to Kemalism exists in the present much as it did in the past. My only hope is that Turkey is willing to save its own soul before it's too late...
48. To most talkbackers: The Ottoman Empire is dead
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (10.15.09)
So blaming the modern Kemalist state for the horrors of the Ottoman regime that preceded it is like blaming Russia for all the atrocities of the Soviet Union. The Kemalist forces of modern Turkey actually fought against the Ottomans and abolished the Caliphate at the end of WWI. So stop blindly accepting whatever propaganda comes out of the mouths of blowhard Armenians and Kurds and lighten up...
49. Turkish Passports
Dave ,   USA   (10.15.09)
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU you do not know anything about Israel !! This looks like Turkish military doing to the Kurds and Armenians !!
50. so it were turkish soldiers murdering kids ...
ygalg ,   israel   (10.15.09)
waving palestinian flag? ... turkey's decline.
51. A Turkish version of "Jud Süß"
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (10.15.09)
Sorry. I know it is a serious concern, but I had to laugh when I watched the film for a few minutes. The Turkish conversation is so ridiculous. But the sad thing is that it is full of hate and propaganda. It ignites anti-semitism and Jew-hate. Really sad. Anyway! We could annoy them as well by donating money to the IDF. Check out this website: http://www.israelsoldiers.org/make_donation.php Kindets regards and layla tov
52. To #47
Anon ,   Istanbul, Turkey   (10.15.09)
Joe, there are insane aims and comments from all sides, and I think it is our job to communicate and understand each other better. If you could read some Turkish comments on this TV show on Turkish newspapers, you could see most Turks critize this show because of its biased approach to Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its religious discourse. Turks have never been anti-Semitic, but there are certain elements in Turkey who try to stir up hatred against Israel in order to gain support of ultra-religious voters. I sincerely hope that commonsense on both sides will overcome this ugly political tension. So, I think both Israelis and Turks need to be careful and patient. As for WWI, yes, some Jews took up arms against Ottomans in the Middle Eastern front, but they were a very small group. However, Arabs collaborated with the British and killed hundreds of thousands Turkish soldiers while Turks were fighting for their independence against Britain, France, Russia, Armenian, Greeks, Italian in many different fronts. On the other hand, some Turkish Jews fought for Turkish forces in the Western front too. In my opinion, Hamas, PKK, ASALA, Hizballah, Islamic Jihad etc are all the same. Terrorist is a terrorist. Terrorists can never be freedom fighters, fighting for freedom doesn't mean blowing up buses and shopping centres as PKK and Hamas did. Despite current government, secularism and Ataturk's principles are still strong in Turkey. These are though days for Turkey, but this government is losing support.

Dear A.T., Of course, I have nothing against Kurds, Arabs, or any other ethnic groups. I was just trying to point out this ugly political game played by current religious government in Turkey and some of their ultra-religious voters who are mostly Kurdish clans(asiret). Otherwise, I believe in secular and democratic values and have no problem with anyone as long as they don't undermine our security, secular and democratic system. After all, we cannot and should not generalize people by their race, religion etc. Best regards from Istanbul.

Check your facts: Goldstone is NOT an Israeli, neither is Finkelstein.Goldstone is a Diaspora Jew whose actions are sheer betrayal of his people. He Must be persona non-grata in Israel. There were quite a few of his kind in the past, their eventual fate is known.

"Not with this Middle Eastern mentality." Skuzi MR. Turkey WILL be accepted into into The EuroBian Union, just owing to this mentality. What is Europian Union now? Don't fool yourself.

This is a sane approach

Rosie ,   Israel   (10.16.09)
Israelis MUST NOT travel to Turkey for any purpose, under any circumstanses, thus spare them ANY checking!
58. Our friend Turkey has genocidal past
Naftali Nakhshon ,   Toronto, Canada   (10.16.09)
It's past time to fully support the Armenian claims of genocide. It's been our moral obligation as Jews. Israel's dubious policy of appeasing Turkey on the matter has beared little fruit. Time to drop it!
59. To Joe, Ramat Gan
Naftali Nakhshon ,   Toronto, Canada   (10.16.09)
'So blaming the modern Kemalist state for the horrors of the Ottoman regime that preceded it is like blaming Russia for all the atrocities of the Soviet Union.' Exactly so! And why shouldn't we hold Russia responsible, too?! So they swapped a dumb dictator for a sneaky one, so what? Same chauvinistic evil empire...
60. Armenian Genocide
Jonas ,   Victoria, Australia   (10.20.09)
Everyone should watch ARARAT by Atom Egoyan, a movie about the Armenian Genocide by the Turks, and also air it on Israel National tv ASAP, it will be very well received. BTW it is on the internet on www.btjunkie.org
