Gaza could have been a lovely resort place on the lovely sea shore with productive agricultural garden for export. Indeed, the Gazans were given it on a silver platter in 2005, and the entire international community, including Israel, was ready to assist. But the Gazans chose to vote for Hamas and then enabled Hamas to take over the rule of the Strip violently from the Palestinian Authority, only to continue to promote death over life, and the annihilation of Israel over the development of Gaza into a prosperous and just society. So, it is time to do away with Hamas and bring justice to Gaza and its population.

However Zapatero as well as the Quarter are in denial about the capacity of the settler junta to initiate a real "peace process". If i were Lieberman, I wouldn't stop settlements. it would alienate me from the same people who put me in power. And such goes the genesis of the 1 state solution (the Palestine solution) from river to sea. The more it's delayed the more elusive peace seams to become. Nour, I would agree with you. The two state solution is no longer possible with Jewish settlements criss crossing the West Bank and the Arab part of Jerusalem. The only way to revive the two state solution is to dismantle each and every settlement in Jerusalem and the West Bank. Failure to do so will leave the one state solution as the only reasonable option. One state for two people with one man one vote. The right of return of Palesinian refugees should be non negotiable.
