61. Olmert sucks, Leftist Pal-sympathizers suck,
Alfonso Azoulai ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.17.09)
I can't decide which is worse, a corrupt, post-Zionist sleazebag former PM, or college students who think they know so much about the conflict here, that they can rant and rave with "passion" about those killed and wounded in our wars.
62. Who's more barbaric?
Eliyahu ,   Tel Aviv   (10.18.09)
I'm not sure who's more barbaric: the students for interrupting a former head-of-state? or Olmert for sending people to demolish entire building upon its civilian inhabitants?
63. Anti-Israel "debate"
Korem ,   New York, USA   (10.18.09)
Shrieks, emotions, and ad hominems do not comprise arguments.
64. Just kids indulging in some fashionable emotionalism, #59
Cameron ,   USA   (10.18.09)
As always, the adults on the globe are content to let Hamas & the PA leap at eachother with daggers.
65. A danger to the USA
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (10.18.09)
These Arab and leftist students are a danger to the USA and a 5th column.
66. #59 .. It is over? hahahahah you guys are hysterical
GZLives   (10.18.09)
the only thing that's over is any so called Pali State ...
67. Olmert
Lou ,   Mi Ami Israel   (10.18.09)
The only thing that Ehud Olmert was guilty of is that it took so long to begin Operation Cast Lead. It came years too late. And the IDF is probably the only army in the world that warns civilians before attacks to give them the opportunity to leave. Too bad the terrorists don't let them leave.... How unjust the world can be, but at least Israel has strength in morality.
68. Rude?
Steve ,   USA   (10.18.09)
I saw the original video, but rude is not the word, Olmert should have been arrested and tried for war crimes, Bibi, Lieberman, Mofaz and all other murders who ruled or are ruling Israel. I blame the university for allowing this vampire into the campus
69. as an American
Barney ,   USA   (10.18.09)
I am sickened at the influence of arab and terrorist sympathizers that have permeated our society and universities. As an American I am embarassed at the failure of the University to maintain a civilized atmosphere and anticipate the predictable rude behavior of arabs and terrorist sympathizers. As a Jew I am proud of Israel and support Israel and will so forever as will so many other Jews worldwide and Americans that see the real picture, support civility, and abhor the influence of radical islam. Unless you want to be walking around in a black head to toe covering, give up the freedom to listen to music, enjoy the arts, give up equality for men and women, get lashed in public for anything deemed immoral by sick and ignorant mullahs, give your 12 and 13 year old daughters away in arranged marriages with old arabs, etc. then you better wake up and see this influence of radical islam for what it is-evil, sinister, medieval. Long live Israel. It is not perfect but it has made more contributions for the better of mankind than all the arab countries put together. It will never cease to exist and prosper. It is simple-good always triumphs over evil

72. das
fcd ,   israel   (10.18.09)
wonder if aliza - he's charming and supportive wife - traveled too. I am sure that if she did she is being wined and dined in nyc with ohlmert's millionaire friends. they never get enough. aliza is as corrupt or more than her husband. people have put the gray haired lady aside.
73. #3 Alex
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (10.18.09)
Only the stupid ones Alex.
74. #24 Marco from Spain
Am Yisrael Chi   (10.17.09)
Now that you (Spain) are certified by statistics as being the worst anti-Semites, you should not expect a red carpet treatment. You should be received as the anti-Semites you really are. Marco, from Spain can you handle the truth? Lets see if you try to censor the honest truth.
75. Olmerted presided over these Defense Forces...
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (10.18.09)
Follows is British Colonel Richard Kemp's testimony to the UN Human Rights Council: Thank you, Mr. President. "I am the former commander of the British forces in Afghanistan. I served with NATO and the United Nations; commanded troops in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Macedonia; and participated in the Gulf War. I spent considerable time in Iraq since the 2003 invasion, and worked on international terrorism for the UK Government’s Joint Intelligence Committee. "Mr. President, based on my knowledge and experience, I can say this: During Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli Defense Forces did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any other army in the history of warfare. "Israel did so while facing an enemy that deliberately positioned its military capability behind the human shield of the civilian population. "Hamas, like Hizballah, are expert at driving the media agenda. Both will always have people ready to give interviews condemning Israeli forces for war crimes. They are adept at staging and distorting incidents. "The IDF faces a challenge that we British do not have to face to the same extent. It is the automatic, Pavlovian presumption by many in the international media, and international human rights groups, that the IDF are in the wrong, that they are abusing human rights. "The truth is that the IDF took extraordinary measures to give Gaza civilians notice of targeted areas, dropping over 2 million leaflets, and making over 100,000 phone calls. Many missions that could have taken out Hamas military capability were aborted to prevent civilian casualties. During the conflict, the IDF allowed huge amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza. To deliver aid virtually into your enemy's hands is, to the military tactician, normally quite unthinkable. But the IDF took on those risks. "Despite all of this, of course innocent civilians were killed. War is chaos and full of mistakes. There have been mistakes by the British, American and other forces in Afghanistan and in Iraq, many of which can be put down to human error. But mistakes are not war crimes. "More than anything, the civilian casualties were a consequence of Hamas’ way of fighting. Hamas deliberately tried to sacrifice their own civilians. "Mr. President, Israel had no choice apart from defending its people, to stop Hamas from attacking them with rockets. "And I say this again: the IDF did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any other army in the history of warfare. "Thank you, Mr. President". Some consider Olmert a murderer. I consider him a defender of my country and the lives of my children.
76. typical pali bahavior small dozen who whine
ghostq   (10.18.09)

77. Hatred of Olmert Is the only things that Israelis & Arabs
Ahmad Cohen Ibn ,   Moussa HaLevi   (10.18.09)
share!
78. They have NO arguments
David ,   Rhode Island   (10.18.09)
If they had a reasonable argument to make, then they could request a moderated debate between the concerned parties. Since the facts are not on their side then all they can do is repeat the same talking points ad nauseum, and resort to disruptive behavior. These are tactics that fascists use.
79. Leo at 47- no pun intended?
David ,   Rhode Island   (10.18.09)
Yes, they are all lost "soles"- ha ha ha!
80. lessons to be learned
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (10.18.09)
Olmert tried so hard to appease the Arabs. He made Gaza Juddrein, he attempted to give away Jerusalem and this is the greeting he gets. Hopefully Israeli politicians ( are you listening Bibi) will learn and not repeat the same mistakes. Nothing will satisfy these people until Israel is wiped from the map and the area looks like it does on PA maps. ( no Israel at all) There is no compromise. So, continue building, expanding and being strong. It is irrelevant to attempt to compromise. They don't want it and won't respect Israel for it. So, tell them to shove it and let israel do what Israel needs to so she can continue as a strong proud nation with rights for ALL of her citizens--Jew and non-Jew!
81. to #77 no just muslims hate the rest

82. It's a shame this country lets these clowns into
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.18.09)
the country in the first place. They'll be pushing Sharia Law down our throats next, just like in Europe. They are a blight on American Society. They practice terrorism and constantly whine about the consequences it creates for them and their families living in the territories. They can move back to Jordan as far as I'm concerned.

87. Population

88. Our list of Pal. terror victims ; are our tears worth less?
Dina ,   Tel Aviv   (10.18.09)
It's time we posted a framed list of murdered Jews on the walls of every US university. It's time we installed a special "terror victim remembrance day" beside the Holocaust and fallen soldiers days. It's time every Israeli delegation to Olympic Games carried a banner with the names of those who were murdered in 1972; and one delegate should carry a black flag beside the Israeli flag carrier. It's time we started to take our dead seriously and not let ourselves nor the world forget them, Business as usual sounds fine, but is it really? We tend to forget our victims the week after, while the Arabs cry on, even sixty years later, shouldn't we do the same? The world watches and judges us for their tears. Why not let them watch and judge them for ours? Are Jewish post-Holocaust tears worth less? Are Jewish post-Holocaust victims not worth remembering by every nation? Do we really have to show a brave face to the world because we are out of the ghettos? It feels to me as if we are not allowed to cry any more since we have Israel. How true is that?
89. #85
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.18.09)
There has never been a love affair between Israel and the USA. The USA just used Israel for its own purposes and Israelis pretended that there was love. The US is a faithful ally of the Arabs. The US has never fought a war for Israel, but attacked Iraq twice to protect Saudi Arabia. The US is the biggest supplier of weapons to Israel's enemies Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The CIA is now active in training a new PLO "Dayton" army to fight Israel. Let us hope that Netanyahu figures this out and joins the Russians or Chinese.
90. talkbacks #83 - #85
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (10.18.09)
Something in my gut feeling tells me that anyone who's going out of his way to demonstrate his affiliation with America ("AMERICAN USA, USA; USA, USA; american, usa") is not a true American, but rather - some muslim immigrant living there, who's trying to leverage his new American citizenship in order to strengthen his anti-Israel opinions. His poor English certainly supports this possibility.
