31. this is not just freedom of speach
noam ,   tel aviv   (10.19.09)
this is false propaganda, cos ppl who see it actually think its a real story of what really happens this looks a bit like nazi soldiers, and this is very far from the truth thats why if they wrote its all fictional, it would be ok. in places where there's freedom of speach, there are also rules against saying harmful lies about other ppl.
32. to #31, yes it is
David ,   Switzerland   (10.20.09)
It's not libel just because some people might THINK it's real. If the Turks had described it as a documentary you could sue them, not like this. No sane person excepts the truth from a TV love story, no matter how sick a love story it is. Saying harmful things about others isn't illegal . Claiming lies as facts is. So let them air this crap. The smart Turks will see through it, the stupid ones shouldn't matter to you anyway.

El Al stopped flying to turkey long time ago
34. EL AL FLIGHTS!
Semih Hullu ,   Istanbul & Turkey   (10.20.09)
Dear David, I'm a Turkish jew,El Al hasn't flying to Turkey for 2-3 years for economic reasons... Turkey is not a hostile country for Israel, the government is full of islamic people you can say they are bastards! As for our jewish community in Turkey the situation is very uncomfortable believe me because %50 of Turkish people are unenlightened and uneducated and they believe everyword the government says "Israel is a terrorist country" Israel shoots innocents babies, hospitals, schools etc.

Mr. Spielberg can make a good movie out of it! With Mr. Hanks as co-producer. Hehehe. Let's see how the Turks react.
36. To: No. 32
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (10.20.09)
It is NOT freedom of speech, David, which would -- needless to say -- be fully legal. It is license -- like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater when there is in fact no fire. Rather a major distinction; not in the least bit subtle. If you do not understand this, you do not understand much. In that case, please go away. You have nothing to contribute to this board.
37. No respect for Gursoy
Cynthia ,   USA   (10.20.09)
He could have presented his love story without disparaging Israel. In the end, he created a controversy that backfired on him as reflected in poor ratings. You don't see propaganda films like this produced in Israel.
38. #23 Better idea Noor
Cynthia ,   USA   (10.20.09)
Substitute in the IDF videos showing Hamas firing kassams from schools, UN buildings and storing weaponry in mosques. Include the video on how Hamas uses children as shields and confiscates UN ambulances to transport kassams. The majority of those killed were combatants. Hard to blame Israel for finally responding to thousands of missile attacks by the blood thirsty Hamas cowards. To add a touch of horror, they'll include a photo of you proudly standing in front of a kassam rocket launcher.

Goldstone seems to disagree with you. There is nothing in that movie that was not in the Goldstone report.

If Israel were to make movies showing how palestinians treat their own blood brothers, never mind the terror they inflict on children and innocent civilians in Israel, the world would be in total shock.
