In most of the countries outside Israel and US, TV stations download reports from reuters, AP FP and other "famous" agencies. The 99% of what we saw in TV and press from the operation was the IDF bombing and shooting inocent people most of them small kids and using chemical wheapons. Believe me: Arab media was less antisemitic than europeans. If you compare the Israeli press against local or european press in any day during the operation you couldn't believe that it was about the same conflict. Israel Gov should understand how press network works, who pay them and should coordinate efforts with local communities in order to show the facts and not lies. This is a must for us.

I think that Israel waited showed enough restraint before acting. The rocket attacks on Sderot had become intolerable long before Israel acted. Given that Hamas had mined all the main entrances the only way to proceed was to assume that all Gaza was one big booby trap. Massive fire to suppress anti-tank units was therefore justified. If the cost of world approval is Israeli acquiescence to constant attack or a high number of Israeli casualties then the world can go screw itself.

In all events, I would take an effective Operation Cast Lead over a sweeter Goldstone Report anyday. c) While Israel's response in 2006 Lebanon War was disorganized, it was by no means a total failure.
